Bobby Tom Denton the famous jock with the Chicago Stars has been injured. This injury ended his football career. He signs a contract to star in a motion picture in his hometownof Heaven, Texas. Bobby Tom has second thoughts about this movie deal and decides to go to Heaven, Texas when he is good and ready. Gracie Snow was hired by the production company of the movie to escort Bobby Tom back to Heaven, Texas. They don't care how she does it, they want him there. Gracie meets Bobby Tom and think he is stuck on himself. Gracie puts her foot down and tells him he is going to show up to do this movie. Bobby Tom gives in and they go to Heaven, Texas together. He decides to get this bright idea to tell everyone there that Gracie is his fiance. There is always somebody there that wants Bobby to meet a relative of theirs, this way Gracie will be his shield. Some of the towns people think that something is strange about this because Gracie is just a small petite plan Jane, not someone Bobby would go with much less marry. Once they agree to this plan sparks fly. I really liked this book. This is the second book in the Chicago Stars football team series. Ms. Phillips always writes an excellent story. I really enjoyed it!

I found this story to be funny, entertaining, and unique. This is the story of Bobby Tom Denton from `It had to be you' novel. Bobby, an ex-football player, who finds himself stuck with a cute, bossy, inexperienced assistant. A cute, fun romp!

Heaven, Texas is one of the best romances I have ever read. The dialogue is at turns laugh out loud funny and heart-wrenching. Susan Elizabeth Phillips creates characters that are more than caricatures. They are people we can care about.

There were tears in my eyes because I was laughing so hard. Bobby Tom Denton surely met his match in Gracie Snow, the prim and proper woman who seems to be the only one with the power to tie him down! Praises must be given to Mrs. Phillips along with flowers and thanks you notes for such a good book!

I thought 'Heaven Texas', was inspirational , it teaches you to tell your true feelings even though your too afraid of the out come. And another thing why the book is so awesome is because all women/people wan't to find the right person at the right time. But sometimes it doesn't happen that way. and ever women want's the person to be tall, dark, handsom, blue eyes, and muscular. but most of all sweet but tries to hide it by being tough, and under neath boyish.

SEP's amazing talents comes alive in the most thought out romance novel I have ever read. The full-filling humor and and uncontrolable emotions sear your heart. Bobby Tom Denton, charming, cocky, chauvenistic, and smart with a boyish grin gets infatuted by Miss Gracie Snow. She is stubborn, a dork, witty, and unattractive until she gets a makeover after halling down Bobby Tom's butt to Telarosa, Texas for his movie. He comes up with a scheme to prevent the old mamas of his town coming up to him to meet new women. In this shceme Gracie becomes his 'fake' fiancee. With Gracie's new makeover shes a little hellion, but is still innocent in the ways of lust and only Bobby Tom can teach her. The whole time Gracie is falling in love with him, and Bobby Tom has no idea that he is in love with her, but he is. When he does figure it out, Gracie does not believe him, and he only has a little time left to prove his love for her before she runs back home.

I've gotten hooked on Susan Elizabeth Phillips books after reading 'It Had To Be You', and I've read everyone she has and several of them 6 or 7 times each. I've lost count on how many times I've read 'Heaven Texas'. She is absolutely the best in Romance. She's funny, romantic, crazy and down to earth. Great characters and great plots. Fantastic reads, again and again!!! I can't wait for the next one!!!

This book was amazing, once I've started, I couldn't put it down! The plot was good, and the romance was even better... This book made me laugh, cry, and it also made me want to kick Bobby-Tom. I loved this books and to tell you the truth I read this book like 8 times, and I still don't get tire of it.

I enjoy nearly every single character in Susan Elizabeth Phillips' books, except this one! I just can't bring myself to like the lead characters in this book. The leading man is an arrogant jerk, the women are weak and needy, and I had no empathy for any of them. Even the townspeople were more caricatures than people. I wish you would rewrite this one! Just not up to the same personalities as all your others, of which I have read them all.
