About the Author

God saved my life when I was lost and destined for destruction. I am Jonathan Webb. I was born on the island of St. Croix and grew up there until I was 14 when my family moved to Wilmington, NC. I have had lots of experiences in life, some good and some not. But, they've shaped who I am and I believe this comes out in my writing. Reading has always been an escape for me, ever since I was a child. I remember reading Hardy Boys novels from cover to cover in an afternoon. Since beginning my Heavy Smile Series, writing has taken on a whole new meaning for me, as I'm using it as a tool to speak to the youth. It's no longer just a hobby.

Parents would be surprised if they knew all the situations their kids were confronted with on a daily basis. And even though the Bible can seem boring and outdated to their generation, so many answers are within its pages. It's just a matter of putting those axioms and proverbs into a format that they can understand and enjoy. That's part of the reason I created this series. I wanted to give the youth something they could relate to. This book is meant to be used as not only an entertaining escape but as a medium to spark discussion between children and their parents, youth leaders, and mentors.

Throughout my life, the most important thing I've learned, and honestly it has taken me a long time to learn, is that one must put God first and glorify Him in ALL things we do. The ultimate goal is salvation through Jesus Christ and we should never lose sight of this. I hope you enjoy the books and I hope I'm able to offer some encouragement to you as you journey through the trials of this world.
