Any guy who is a huge sports fan, loves adventure, and can't wait to dive into the underbelly of all things exotic needs to pick up a copy of the Hedonist. My life in the big Apple is fulfilling, but in the end it is packed with an unbearable amount of stress. I need quick vacations and frequent time off to recharge. Vacations in the US are boring and predictable, and the women are a waste of oxygen. If you're anything like me, nothing makes me feel more young and alive than leaving the country and exposing myself to the unknown. I don't have time to research any of this stuff, and frankly I don't need to with this book. It has everything I need, and it's highly interesting to read...over and over again. Try finding another book like it. You can't. A big thumbs up recommendation.

Lonely Planet and Froddom's travel guides can be full of dated and irrelevant info, not to mention are written for senior citizens. The author here provides valuable travel tips without bogging you down with details. It is written for those who like to travel well but on the cheap, as well as for the higher end vacationer. Well organized and succinct, and the commentary and personal insights rival the best of Dennis Miller rants. It's one of those books that you find yourself opening up a random page and are learning and laughing within a few paragraphs. It may sound odd, but you end up reading this thing over and over like it¿s a favorite novel or a book of jokes...to the point of memorizing lines. There are some tropical spots in it I never heard of, but after reading about them I will definitely consider visiting. Nobody likes to waste time or money on a quick vacation, and this book is about as point and click as they come. A few friends highly recommended it to me, and they were right on the money.

Before visiting any country on vacation, I always research the hot spots and nightlife to save time, money, and to hit the ground running. A friend showed me this book, and it was exactly what I was looking for, since it's written for single, partying guys. We both chose Costa Rica, with the game plan of a three day golf getaway. We checked into the highly recommended Hotel del Rey, went downstairs to the sports bar and thought we'd died and gone to heaven. 60 exotic girls and maybe 8 guys; it's a brothel disguised as a Hotel Sports bar. Get this, we never left the hotel the entire vacation! Friggin' hilarious trip to say the least. Every single guy needs this book, it is without a doubt the Sex Travel Bible.
