Heir To A Desert Legacy is a great book,  but was difficult to get through based on the way Sayid had been raised and the type of man he thought he had to come.  Chloe had had a difficult upbringing as well, but had a different outlook on life along with the help of Aden in her life.

Maisey Yates has a deft hand at weaving together some seriously heavy emotional baggage with chemistry that jumps off the pages. She's done that yet again with Sayid and Chloe. I loved how broken they both were, and how it took the other person to finally get them started on the path to true healing, instead of just surviving. Also, I would TOTES love a tied up Sayid in my bed. Just saying! Someone needs to make this happen.

Heir to a Desert Legacy by Maisey Yates 3 STARS Heir to a Desert Legacy was a lot more than I thought it would be. It was a romance but it was also a story of two different people who had faced abuse in thier early years. The abuse changed the people and how they reacted to others, standing apart from others who could hurt them again. How love of someone else could help the healing if they let them into thier hearts. So yes it was a romance but they had to let others in. Thier were a couple of sex scenes. I liked that Chole was strong, smart and even though she was around abuse she was still willing to build a life with her half-sister and her son. She made very unselfesh decisions. Sayid seems hard and does not care about anyone or anything. He feels duty for his country and will give his life for it and protect the future king with all that he has. This is a quick read. Makes me glad for my family and freedoms that we have. I was given this ebook to read in exchange for honest reviews from Netgalley. Description from Netgalley Sayid al Kadar was trained from childhood to be a warrior. He's fought, he's conquered-but was never meant to rule... Thrust reluctantly to the throne, Sheikh Sayid is shocked to discover a child who is his country's true heir, and he'll do anything to protect him, even if it means taking on the child's aunt! Chloe James might behave like a tigress protecting her cub, but this trained soldier can see her weak spot. Taking Chloe as his bride would appease the people of his kingdom, and provide the perfect outlet for the blistering chemistry between them.... 03/19/2013 PUB Harlequin Imprint Harlequin Presents ISBN9780373131396
