A classic story from one of the most beloved children's book authors!
Mary Poppins meets Nanny McPhee in Hello, Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle, a hilarious and charming picture book about a magical problem solver that has been delighting readers for generations.
Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle loves children! Well-mannered and healthy children, that is. And she has an old sea chest full of magic cures for any bad habit—like the powder that makes Phillip Carmody completely invisible when he shows off, or the anti-slowpoke spray she uses to treat Harbin Quadrangle's extra-acute daydreaming disease.

As a child I loved this book, reading it over and over; I especially loved the detailed black and white illustrations by Hillary Knight. So I was very disappointed to receive my order and discover that, in spite of the book cover with the Hillary Knight illustration shown on the website, the illustrations were not the ones I remembered and loved, but were a new set of pictures by Alexandra Boiger. I returned the book and ordered a used copy from a used book site. The stories are as delightful as I remember, but without Hillary Knight's wonderful illustrations, it just wasn't the same.
Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle's books are wonderfully funny and enlightening. Children I have known (i.e. myself and my daughter)have found great pleasure in Betty MacDonald's books about a widow who lives in an upside-down house and her many remedies for juvenile misbehavior. The illustrations by Hilary Knight are as always devine.
I read this as a child and look forward to my children reading these books! What a way to spark a child's imagination!
I read this book a while ago to see if it was good for kids. It is a cute book. It tells many stories of how different kids didn't behave well and got cured by Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle. I would reccomend it for young kids!
