Sara Pritchard does not miss a thing and her witty perceptions add a zing to the everyday lives of her characters. Her stories stay with you long after reading. Personally, I am anxiously waiting for her next book. Ann McCauley
Sara Pritchard is Alice Munro, she's Sherwood Anderson, she's Kurt Vonnegut. They're all there lurking in the background, the depth, the humanity, the humor; but center stage is pure Sara Pritchard. Her characters must be memorable because they were so keenly observed, but how could she possibly? The interconnections between these stories, the sharing of place or characters or circumstance, adds such life to the book that I feel like I remember the people and events from my own past and I want desperately to remember more. I hope Pritchard has another collection almost finished. I read Help Wanted: Female twice, and it went by far too quickly. If you're ordering another book, add this one to your order. You'll like it best.
