Grandmas are wise. Told there is no Santa by his older sister the narrator recalls rushing off to consult with Grandma who would be straight with him. Ridiculous she replies and challenges him to become Santa's helper and buy a gift for someone who really needs it. The story unfolds to reveal the true meaning of Christmas and the nature of Santa Claus. Bert Dodson's wonderful waterco lors capture all the charm of the story.

I love this book!!! I ran across it last year and just had to buy it on the spot!! It tells the story of a boy who turns his doubts about Santa instilled by his older sister into a firm conviction of Santa's existence and of the boy's place on Santa's team. I wish that I could read this book to every student I ever taught. It is a wonderful tale of the spirit of giving and what even small kind gifts can do!
