I really did enjoy it, it was a good read. I get uncomfortable at the daddy references though. I don't but the daddy books because I don't like that reference. I was not aware that that was involved. I would never refer to my boyfriend or husband as daddy.

Josephine suffers the loss of her loving aunt Hedy and is thrust into the sole care of Hedy’s uncaring and mean-spirited husband. So she runs away from the overbearing man only to become the ward of what appears to be an equally domineering, crude talking, mountain of a man by the name of Logan West. Logan has not had an easy life either, first having to raise his younger sister Ella from the time she was 8 until now when she is betrothed to the town’s sheriff, and he’s recently been betrayed and lied to by a woman he thought he was in love with. Two lonely hearts equally distrustful of the members of the opposite sex. The fact that each has misjudged the character and personality of the other soon becomes clear, but both have a difficult time expressing their true feelings, causing many agonizing situations that threaten to end their developing relationship. Logan is a very Alpha male who does not hesitate to spank an errant female. Josephine is a headstrong and bratty young lady who challenges anyone trying to tell her what to do. That she is going over his knee is a foregone conclusion, and it happens frequently. Although the details around the story-line seem harsh, this is in reality a very light hearted romance featuring characters that are easy to relate to and fun to read about. Yes there are some spankings, and yes there is some sex, but nothing is done to excess and the characters inner beauty is allowed to show through. Not only did I thoroughly enjoy this book, but I really hope the author takes the opportunity to expand upon the age play opportunities for Logan and Josephine, and maybe develop a parallel story-line for his sister Ella and her new husband, Sheriff Brody Yates. I received this book as an advance review copy from the publisher.
