Her Fated Cowboy (Harland County Series, #1) by Donna Michaels

L.A. cop Jordan Masters Ryan has a problem. Her normal method of meeting a crisis head-on and taking it down won't work. Not this time. Not when fate is her adversary. Having kept her from the man she thought she'd always marry, the same fickle fate took away the man she eventually did. Thrown back into the path of her first love, she finds hers is not the only heart fate has damaged.

Widower and software CEO, Cole McCall fills his days with computer codes and his free time working the family's cattle ranch. Blaming himself for his wife's death, he's become hard and bitter. When his visiting former neighbor sets out to delete the firewall around his heart, he discovers there's no protection against the Jordan virus. Though she understands his pain and reawakens his soul, will it be enough for Cole to overcome his past and embrace their fated hearts?

"Her Fated Cowboy" (Harland County Book 1) by Donna Michaels is a great read. I loved reading Cole and Jordan's story. This is an excellent start to the Harland County series. Hot cowboys, close friends and family, entertaining and interesting characters, passion, romance, humor, overcoming losses, reuniting with first loves, happily ever afters, and more. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, hot cowboys, and series.

Loved the story of Jordan and Cole... Each lost a spouse way to young and tragically... But, the attractions going back to the beginning of their lives in the small Texas town into play and after much heartache and many struggles they find their HEA... Great characters, good story line and well written... Enjoyed it very much... The best and worst of human emotions on display..

It seems to me that this book has truth to how someone moves on after a partner passes away. Nicely done

Set in Texas, a pair of brothers grew up with a pair of sisters with predictable results. No real surprises in this book but a fun read. This story is mostly about one brother and sister overcoming their problems while hinting at the attraction between the other brother and sister so you know there's at least one more in the series. At least it's a full size novel

This story had it all, a good emotional plot, great chemistry between the sexy cowboy (gotta love that cover shot) and the heroine, who was smart and willing to sacrifice for her man. Very much enjoyed the story and want to read his older brother's story next.

The misuse of "Christ" and "Jesus" coupled with f-bombs and long descriptions of every thought or feeling make this a poor novel. Is there no other way to express a character's emotions except through vulgarity? The idea of two young people who are trying to recover from the loss of a spouse is worth writing that is more concise and more thoughtful than what is here
