Made the mistake thinking the books would get better, but sorry to say it didn't happen. Characters are not well developed. Women are supposed to be strong but are fearful of living life and want to make strong men weak. And what happened to Callie ' s sisters? She was so concerned about leaving them and paying off her parents debt but they are never mentioned again. Not an author that I would recommend.

Extremely disappointed by each book ending. If I could go back I would have saved my money and time reading a different author.

Tyson Watson is the youngest of the Watson brothers and he is trying to make a go of things on his own ranch, but money is tight. Layla is a lawyer who has been friends with Tyson's older brother for years. When they see each other there are instant sparks, but they are both very stubborn and both very sure that they are too different to make things work. I really enjoyed these characters and how the author wasn't afraid to let their stubborn, controlling natures shine through so much. Their attitudes and behaviors make them who they are and I loved seeing to people so stubborn work on finding their way. This was a great story and I really like the whole extended Watson family.

This is a story of two stubborn, cantankerous people who are seriously attracted to each other but too entrenched to admit it even after a sextacular weekend together at his brother’s wedding results in her being pregnant! She’s Layla Cox, a wealthy, high powered city attorney whilst he’s a struggling rancher but the chemistry between them is explosive. When Layla discovers she’s pregnant, she moves from Denver to purchase a law practice in Marietta which is the nearest town to Tyler’s ranch. She’s determined to have their child and to enable Tyler to be involved in his upbringing but they are both too proud and determined to actually talk to each other meaningfully, especially about their feelings for each other. This is a heart warming romance where love will find a way - despite the couple’s attitudes and misinterpretation of each other! Communication is the key but there are plenty of twists and turns - including a missing toddler - that will pull at your heart strings before this relatively quick read will reach the HEA they all deserve. Another Marietta story that I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend to anyone who enjoys a well written romance where you sometimes feel like figuratively shaking the main characters! I requested and was given a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion after choosing to read it.

I enjoyed Her Favorite Cowboy by Ann B. Harrison, book four in her Watson Brothers series. Tyson Watson is the youngest brother who struggled to make his ranch profitable. After his brother’s wedding Tyson spends the weekend with the woman of his, Layla Cox, but never hears from her again. Layla is a high powered lawyer in Denver and gets more than she bargained for when she set her sights on Tyson; she ends up pregnant. Layla moves to Marietta, purchases a law practice, all so her child can have contact with his birth father. As independent as Layla is, Tyson is as stubborn, and will not agree to Layla’s plan for the future. These two stubborn and proud people have a lot of issues to iron out as well as need to learn how to communicate with and listen to each other before they can smooth things over. It took me a while to warm up to Layla, feeling that no one was listening to Tyson but once I did I really enjoyed her story. This was an enjoyable book with likeable and authentic characters. I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. Ms. Harrison drew me in and did not let go until I read the last page. I definitely recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Her Favorite Cowboy by Ann B. Harrison, a great addition to the Watson Brothers series. Enjoyable characters, and dialogue. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series and more by this author.

Hello pot, meet kettle, goodbye heart. Layla and Tyson are two of the most stubborn people. They drove me crazy with their pride, seduced me with their romantic two step and claimed my heart in the end. Ann B. Harrison created a winner. She took a few of my favorite things and dreamed up a sweetheart of a love story. For Layla getting in touch with her inner wild child has lasting results. Can a country boy convince a city girl to take a chance on love?

Too bad. Layla may be independent, but Tyson is stubborn and has no intention of falling in line with Layla’s plan. Can two strong-willed people turn a weekend of passion into a lifelong love? This is the fourth book in the series and the first one I have read and that was a mistake. I was able to make out mot of the mention of previous events and other character. I understood most, but not all. I missed something, I hope, that would better explain the dynamics between Tyson and his family. They act as though he abandoned Layla and the baby, rather than giving him a chance to come to terms with everything and asking him what he wants. I vacillated over whether I even liked Layla. She had no thoughts of a long term relationship with Tyson until she discovered she was pregnant. Being a lawyer it is her job to see both sides of a situation and expect the worst out of someone, but really, the way she treats Tyson is so superfluous. I believe I would have like this book more if I had read the series from the beginning and given it a higher rating. My rating of "Her Favorite Cowboy" is 3.5 out of 5 stars.
