While thos book wasn't as good as others in the Mule Hollow series, it was okay. The story is about Colt Holden, who in the previous book, had been in a terrible accident that had killed a family. He is feeling tremendous guilt and is punishing himself. Meanwhile, the young son he didn't know he had comes to town with his Aunt. He is distant at forst, but the child and the Aunt get under his skin and slowly help him heal. Most of the book is about Colt not wanting his son to know he is the father because he feels he doesn't deserve something so good in his life. Overall, it was a nice story, just not as funny as other books in the series. It was an okay read
I love this book and all the ones in this series. I was very Satisfied with my purchase.
Love the lesson on trusting God. Great story based on Gods truth. I could read this over and over
Her Homecoming Cowboy by Debra Clopton Mule Hollow Homecoming Series Book 3 Annie Ridgeway and her nephew Leo are new residents of Mule Hollow. Annie moved her with a purpose….to let a certain cowboy know that he had a son. When her sister died a year ago she gave Annie the name of Leo’s father and asked her never to say anything. After a year of struggling over whether to find Leo's father and tell him or not, God seemed to use an act of nature to push her out the door and to Mule Hollow. Colt Holden is a bull rider. He was recently injured and that was healing but he wasn’t healing from the accident he’d been in. An accident where he was the sole survivor. He wanted to be left alone in his dull drums and suddenly a six year old boy and his pretty aunt burst into his life and he’s finding it a struggle not to enjoy life again. The last of the Holden brothers has come home to Mule Hollow in this three book series. As always Debra tells a story with laughter and love but a touch of serious as well. Samantha the donkey shows up to scare the new residents with her forwardness and Norma Sue gives a cowboy a lesson on not being rude. I always enjoy visiting Mule Hollow and seeing all the friends from the earlier books. Never a dull moment and definitely no privacy here, but lots of love.
