Her Imperfect Groom by Rose Gordon Book 4 in the Groom Series Sir Wallace has some particular idiosyncrasies about him, I find it makes him the most endearing character. This poor guy has been engaged three times and each time the woman married someone else. The last time was the closest as he was about to speak the vows when the woman's true love came to the rescue. He finally has a chance to woo the gal who caught his eye three years earlier, Edwina Banks, but it's a bumpy road for him. There are misunderstandings and mostly two women from his past keep showing up and interrupting. Edwina Banks wants nothing more then to marry Sir Wallace. His odd behavior is nothing new to someone who grew up with Alex as a brother. When a misunderstanding has Edwina believing he loves another she comes up with a plan to help Wallace learn how to court a woman. Edwina has a secret of her own as well that she has even managed to hide from her family. This book will have you rooting for Sir Wallace and Edwina while it may have you fuming at the antics of the other two women. We get to see all the beloved characters from the previous book as well. I found this to be a great addition to the Groom's series and I daresay that Wallace may have tugged on my heartstrings a bit more than anyone else. We also get to know the mischievous twins, Elijah and Henry, much better. **Sexual situations within marriage.

If you don't love romance, humor, loveable characters and terrific story line than don't buy this book because it has all of these wonderful elements and more. I own every one of Rose Gordon's books and my only regret is that I have to wait for another one. Although her books are written to overlap they are stand-alone as well. But just like chocolate or potato chips you just can't stop at one. She has a delightful sense of humor, a special way of building romance and characters that we can all see in ourselves or those people we have known and loved. If I had to sum up Her Imperfect Groom I would say it is "...romance with a sigh and a smile".

So sad to see this series end but Rose saved the best groom for last. Very refreshing to read about a most unusual hero.

I found myself wishing the book was twice the length. Sweet story.

While I find all of Ms Gordon's stories enternaining, I was frequently surprised by the editing errors they contain. Not only are there misspellings, there are many misuses of tense in her dialogue. The lavish covers of the 'Grooms' series are stunning; but the errors are most discouraging. One would think that a professional team, working together in mass publishing, could produce grammar that would not impede the readers' enjoyment of the stories. I will not be purchasing future titles from this author.

The characters are sweet. I wanted to know Wallace's story after he appeared in a previous novel. And while the story wasnt bad, it felt like it was about 4 times longer than it needed to be from all the stupid, willful, boring, pointless, and dare I repeat stupid misunderstandings. Just when you think that a single person in the story will make a direct and unequivocal statement about something, something is said or someone interrupts, or characters retreat into internal dialogue and flat stop listening to anything around them and then no one has actually listened to anyone or knows what anyone else is talking about. A few times, I can understand. Or just one major misunderstanding (as seems pretty common in romances), I can understand. But I swear that hardly a converstation can go by without chunks of said conversation being missed by one or more parites involved. It was serious overkill. It made me want to punch my nook. Im glad wallace got his own story and HEA...but it was a trudge to get through.

I enjoyed the other books in this series, but this book spent far too much time rehashing past events ad relationships from the other books. The author must have felt the need to pad the story. Skp this one.

I really liked Wallace and Edwina. I loved how he helped her learn how to read. I do think though they should have talked, would have saved them some drama. The 2 other women were horrible and I wish they hadn't been a part of the book at all.

This is the third in this series.  I find them to be quick, enjoyable reads, although not as historically accurate as some works I have read.  I keep reading because I have become invested in the characters, which are engaging.  This one, in particular, was enjoyable due to the quirks and "flaws" of the main characters, that being what appears to be illiteracy caused by dyslexia (Edwina) and autism (Wallace).  It makes their "happy ending" that much more enjoyable.
