It would be hard to write a story like this, about the Boston marathon bomb and an amputee. And it would be difficult to write the story of an injured woman's struggle to find a new normal without teetering between self pity and anger. I don't know what bothered me, it all just worked out so well... Does life really do that?

A short real life story of a Boston Marathon heroine who learned to cope with her handicap and find love in a small community. A very good story as are the others in the series. I enjoy the author's writings. LA-TXN

Rebecca was looking for a quiet place to stay and recover from the bombing that took part of her leg. She was learning to walk but she wasn't expecting the wonderful people in Pilgrim's Cove or Adam and his sweet daughter. Wonderful story and you don't want to miss it.

Great series of love stories set in a small town in Massachusetts... Each is a very different story but all tie together to make for a big and interesting community... Lots of laughs and some tears... Quick, short reads that are well written and very enjoyable... Highly Recommend this series.

Nice story to continue the saga of Pilgrim Cove's Sea View House. Even though it is labeled as #1 of the Sea View House series it really should be #5 of the Pilgrim Cove series as you meet all the couples from the first 5 books. It takes a bit to catch on to the entire town in such a short novel. From the excerpt from the next Sea View House book, that follows all the others that take place in Pilgrim Cove too.

Or heroines. Boston Strong survivor tries to heal from her amputated leg, while trying to cope with her own perceptions as a female, non military everyday person. While others around her hail her either as a hero or as a victim that needs caring for. Just the right balance and new perceptions to think through.
