Jamison Jackson's marriage into the wealthy, influential Reynolds family seems ideal, but it turns into her worst nightmare. As an investigative reporter with a local paper, she focuses on a corrupt company responsible for a toxic spill, forcing a children's camp to close. Before the story goes to print, she is framed for the murder of her husband's lover. She begins to suspect the two events are connected. She is forced to go on the run to escape the killer who believes the victim has passed on to Jamie a long-kept secret, a secret so explosive, it should stay hidden forever. She must rely on her former lover, a homicide detective, Chris Lagoni. Although their relationship has been over for two years with no hope of a revival, Chris finds it his duty to clear Jamie's name, keep the police at bay, and crack the case. Time is running out and Jamie finds the only one who can keep her safe is her new lover, Brennan McKeever. But long before she falls in love with him, she deceives him into making a choice with permanent consequences. When she is caught in her lie, he must find a way to forgive her before he offers his protection. There are twists and turns along the way in this heart-pounding story of deception, corruption, and true love.

Reviewed by Trudi LoPreto for Readers' Favorite Her Lying Eyes has it all; romance, mystery, murder, twists, turns, good guys, bad guys and the action never stops. Jamie is a journalist with a huge story to break, one that has the potential to destroy a company and the rich family who own it as she discovers more and more information. Garrett Reynolds is Jamie's long time friend, and also the son of the wealthy and very influential company owner that she is investigating. Garrett wants nothing more than to take over the company from his father, who wants Garrett to marry well and not the woman he truly loves. Garrett proposes to Jamie, they have a beautiful wedding and attempt to have a baby, something they both want, but for very different reasons. Life seems to be wonderful, but very quickly turns awful for the young married couple. Brennan soon offers Jamie the love she has always been looking for and Garrett reunites with his true love. As slowly they put life back together with new loves, their worlds are shattered overnight. There is murder, lies and deceit and Jamie is forced to run for her life. Garrett will find out secrets and nothing will ever be the same. I found Her Lying Eyes to be a fantastic read. Twists, turns and surprises fill the pages and left me on the edge of my chair, unable to stop reading. Susan Mills Wilson included all of the ingredients to make this an amazing story with an ending that I never saw coming. The characters were well defined and quickly became people I cared about, as if they were real friends. I highly recommend this book to all fans of mystery, suspense, romance and just good storytelling.
