3 out of 5 stars! Since the moment they met on her 18th Birthday, Andie (Miranda) has known Cleve was the man for her but people and circumstances in life has kept them apart. After six years, and about a year after his wife had passed, Andie and Cleve spend an intense night together that leaves Andie pregnant. Will Cleve be able to convince Andie that he has always loved her no matter what ... before it's too late. This is one sweet romance that reels you in with its compelling characters and their silly blunders. I enjoyed getting to know Cleve and Andie. Also, while I'm happy that got together in the end, I really feel for their missed opportunities. In addition, I LOVED the setup of this novel's "mansion," the stories of Andie's sister with Sofia. I hope this is a series that continues with all of them! I recommend it for those looking for a sweet contemporary romance. Review By: From Me to You ... When pilot Miranda "Andi" Marlowe realizes that the night of comfort she had with her boss, Cleve Finch, led to a baby, she runs to a Mediterranean villa recently inherited by her younger sister. Cleve lost his wife - also a pilot - to a plane accident a year ago. She figures she can decide what to do away from Cleve - and then he shows up. This is a wonderful beach read that highlights a couple of my favorite tropes: friends to lovers and secret baby. Ms. Fielding has written a sweet romance that is easy to read with a memorable cast of characters. Andi and Cleve have a history and it was a joy to read how they work out their issues like adults. The villa itself serves almost like a secondary character. While a lot of time isn't spent with Andi's sister, the glimpses we gets are intriguing and I look forward to reading their stories at the villa. My only complaint is that so much time is spent in developing their past that there isn't time to show their current relationship as it moved firmly into a romantic one. I would have liked to have seen more of that than we did. If you're looking for a good beach read, this is a good book to start with. NB: I received a copy of this book from the author. I have chosen to review it.

What a fun start to a new group of books! Her Pregnancy Bombshell is the first story in the Summer at Villa Rosa and is about Miranda Marlowe and Cleve Finch. Their story is about the Miranda getting pregnant after a night spent with Cleve, baggage from both their pasts in between, and what happens before, during and after. Miranda flies to Villa Rosa, a villa one of her sisters inherited, and that is where their HEA plays out. I liked these two – both have pre-conceived notions about the other, their own lives and each other – and while they are working out the issues between them, the story takes off. Characters surrounding them, and the villa itself, give it some light and witty moments, especially when you have “helpful” or “nosy” neighbors to try to offer advice and friendship. And don’t get me started on Miranda’s Dad and how “helpful” he was… I’m thinkin’ Miranda’s sisters will be coming in the rest of the stories and it should be interesting! I won’t recap the story as Ms. Fielding does a much better job than I ever could but know that you will run the gamut of emotions throughout this story, at least I did.

A nice kick-off to the Summer at Villa Rosa series! The first sister whose story we dive into is Miranda Marlowe. The characters are interesting and the plot is diverse ... I would have liked to see a little more development of their relationship once they decided to give it a go together, but the build up of the past was done well. Andie Marlow has been crushing on her boss since the day she turned 18 years old, but he's still heartbroken over his wife's death. After an especially hard situation arose and she offered him the only comfort she could think to give, she finds out she's pregnant and flees to her sister's Mediterranean getaway. Cleve Finch doesn't know why Miranda is cutting off ties, but he's not going to let her go without an explanation! Once he finds out they are expecting a baby, he offers marriage. Can she bring herself to marry him when she knows she'll never have his heart? And as their wedding day draws near, will the secrets Cleve has been hiding come to the surface?

This was a nice, easy, fun read that was completely entertaining. I really enjoyed these characters. Cleve and Miranda were so cute together and their story is great. Cleve might be Miranda's boss but she's had a crush on him for the longest time. A year after he loses his wife in a plane crash he's still troubled and when he turns to Miranda for comfort she's more than happy to provide it. That was more than a month ago. Now Miranda finds herself still alone and pregnant. Needing to get away she visits her sister's Mediterranean villa. So maybe it has a few problems, like a hole in the roof and a layer of dirt and dust about 2 inches deep. Miranda can handle that. What she can't handle is Cleve turning up on her doorstep or the gigantic spider in her shower! The spider Cleve will get rid of but getting rid of Cleve isn't quite so easy, and does she really want to?? I highly recommend this one.
