Her Valentine Fantasy by Nancy Warren

Tonight's sinful dessert special…Valentine's Fantasy

The tasty dish from Benedict restaurant is everything Jessica Lafayette could want… or crave. And it's not the dessert in front of her—it's her waiter. A guy with dark, intense eyes that suggest he wants to slowly lick whipped cream off her skin. A smile so wicked it makes her insides lava-cake gooey. And a too-hot-to-handle body that was meant to be tasted…

Yup, Sam The Waiter is better than chocolate.

But what Jessica doesn't know is that her one-night-waiter is actually Sam Benedict, Upscale Restaurateur. And that her little lie about being from out of town is going to turn into a Big Deal. Now Jessica is in deep hot chocolate… because her Valentine Fantasy is starting to look a lot like a red-hot reality!

Reviewed by Kim for Read Your Writes Book Reviews Jessica Lafayette and Sam Benedict originally meet each other on a date. Well, sorta. Jessica is on a date with a banker she met online, while Sam is serving as their waiter. Sam has been in the business long enough to be able to read people and his instincts tell him that the couple is on a bad date. Honestly, bad date is an understatement. The banker ends up leaving the restaurant and Jessica is left with the bill. While in a fog over what happens, Jessica ends up forgetting to leave her credit card to pay for the bill. Sam ends up tracking her down and delivering the restaurant’s special dessert to her, as a way to cheer her up. One thing leads to another and Sam ends up spending the night in Jessica’s hotel room. Jessica who went into the evening with Sam only wanting a one-night stand, gets more than she bargained for. But these two are inadvertently hiding something from each other. Through multiple emails, these two realize that they are meant to be together. This Valentine’s Day, both Jessica and Sam are going to have their Valentine fantasy fulfilled. Jessica is on a first date, enjoying her dinner but her date is turning out to be a real dud. The smokin' hot waiter. though. gains her full attention once her date ditches her and stiffs her for the dinner tab. Then she accidentally lets her room key card as payment, instead of her credit card. When Sam tracks Jessica to her hotel room, bringing her a Valentine Fantasy dessert, misunderstandings are left in limbo as their attraction heats up. I loved this sizzling, sexy afternoon quickie! The characters were delightful, along with the romantic storyline. The chemistry between Jessica and Sam was electric and the sex, erotic and of course, explicit (which totally works for me…lol). Unfortunately, there just weren't enough sex scenes and the ending was a bit too abrupt for me, but everything else was just perfect. I would absolutely, highly recommend it to all my fellow erotic romance readers!

I should have read the reviews before purchasing and saved some money. I have been a long time Harlequinn reader and assumed this would be worth the cash for a quick read. This was horrible! Come Harlequinn - you can do better than this....

Really! First you spend $4 for only 93 pages. Then it doesn't even have a concluding ending. Yes, it does have some hot scenes but not worth the money and the unsatifactory ending will having you wishing there was a better one.

Her Valentine Fantasy by Nancy Warren Sam Benedict is the owner of a restaurant that is taking Seattle by storm. He didn't mind playing the waiter when needed, like the night he met her. The woman at table 12 became more than a patron, more than a seat number. And he wanted her. Jessica Lafayette set out to have good hot sex before Valentines Day. Her date was not going to be it. Especially after his disappearing act before the dessert even arrives. In her distress she leaves her room key instead of a credit card. Was it the worst or best mistake she ever made? What starts out as a woman determined to have casual sex, just a one night stand, becomes much more. Sam and Jessica have both left out important facts about their lives and yet as they email back and forth they build a relationship. Something much stronger than just a night of pleasure. **Sexual content **Received through NetGalley for review

Chocolate and a hot guy...what more could you want in the lead up to Valentine's Day. Jessica was not having a great deal of success fulfilling her New Years resolution of hot sex by Valentine's Day. Her date, one week out, was a total bore and rude to boot, running of and leaving her the bill. So much for internet dating. The best thing about the night was the waiter, and when a flustered Jessica leaves her hotel room card instead of her credit card, we have the perfect setup. Nice that the waiter brings along her dessert when he comes looking for her to pay the bill. Thus begins what looks like being a one night stand but ends up being so much more because, hey, this is romance. This is a lovely little story with plenty of hot smexy but also some great characters that we really get to know despite the short novella length of the story. This was from Netgalley for review.
