Teacher and baseball coach Lucas Tanner is fascinated by Felicity's potent mix of spirit and scientist, not to mention her delicious curves. Can he convince her that together they have the perfect chemistry?

Just as the title suggests this story contained many of my favorite elements and put a smile on my face from the very first page. From its likable main couple to their carefree and lighthearted interactions this story was a heartwarming story of a woman who finally starts battling her insecurities to start living life to the fullest and the supportive man drawn to her. It's a great end to the romantic journey to HEA for a nerdy trio of friends. Felicity is going to meet her friends for a much-deserved celebration before they all move on to their next stage of life when she's left alone through a twist of fate. She's not totally alone though after meeting the super sweet and sexy Lucas who needs a date for his brother's wedding to keep his ex from trying to rekindle things. She surprises herself by saying yes to pretending to be his girlfriend and is surprised even further by how comfortable she is around him and the inspiration he soon becomes for her to want more out of life. Felicity has always been devoted to science and success and has never felt comfortable in social situations, but being with Lucas has her embracing all the things she's read about in books. Felicity is immensely likable and seeing her come out of her shell is endearing and cheer-worthy as she gets the guy over the perky cheerleader-type. Felicity is a tell-it-like-it-is person and her honesty is refreshing to Lucas after dealing with his ex's duplicitous nature and I loved watching them grow closer together. Lucas is the perfect hero with his sweet, supportive, and sexy nature. He's caring and close to his family which makes him even sexier. He's drawn to Felicity's unique qualities and refreshing honesty and wants to help her finally start living life. Though she doesn't think she's sexy he finds everything about her desirable and as their relationship progressed the sexual tension built. What first started out as a friendship easily evolved into more through their subtle verbal foreplay and crackling connection that was endearingly sweet and sexy. Lucas never rushed Felicity, knowing her fears, but pushed her to embrace all that he was offering as he felt a deep connection to her he hadn't felt before. For all that, I hereby make Lucas my new book boyfriend and I'm left still dreaming about him. This was a light hearted read with very little conflict beyond the usual. It was a carefree read with delightfully witty banter between Felicity and Lucas. Their relationship teemed with sexual tension and sensual verbal foreplay that culminated in steamy sexual interludes. Though the story got a bit slow at the midway point and was a bit rushed at the end it was still a satisfying story due to its delightful main couple and their entertaining and heartwarming journey to HEA.

Her Winning Formula by Shannyn Schroeder is the 3rd book in her Hot & Nerdy series. I had enjoyed the first two books, but did have some minor issues. I was not sure if Felicity would interest me. However, I have to say that Her Winning Formula was the best one yet. I loved this fun, sexy and charming romance. Felicity is our heroine, and she is the one who planned the spring break trip to Texas for her and her two friends. Layla and Charlie never made it, as we see what happened to them in the first two books. Felicity, who though smart and independent, is not confident in meeting men, and now that she is abandoned by her friends, she alone. In the airport, she meets Lucas, our hero and she immediately rebuffs him. Of course, they end up sitting next to each other on the plane. Lucas is afraid of flying, and it is Felicity, who helps him relax during turbulence, which surprises herself, as she is not a conversationalist with the opposite sex. During their ride, Lucas, who finds himself attracted to Felicity, asks for her help. He is on his way to his brother’s wedding and his ex-girlfriend will be there too. Lucas wants Felicity to go to the wedding as his girlfriend, thereby stopping any attempt by his ex. After some persuasion, and knowing she is alone on this trip, she eventually agrees. Lucas is a special-ed teacher & baseball coach; Felicity is a chemistry major at Harvard, where upon from graduation will work for her father. Using the suggestions and guidelines that Lucas taught her, Felicity was a hit with his family. Their chemistry between them became apparent quickly, and their sexual scenes were hot. Both have some minor issues, such as Lucas not wanting a relationship, and Felicity thinking no one is really interested in her. It was really fun to watch as Lucas teaches her the winning formula how to attract a man. Her Winning Formula is a nice sweet charming romance between two people who are opposites, and yet perfect for each other. We got to enjoy watching their relationship grow, and how they get past those issues. If you enjoy novellas, romance, nice couples, and quick reads, I suggest to read Shannyn Schroeder’s Hot & Nerdy series.

Felicity is the girl who has it all – and she is making the arrangements for all of her friends to join her in Texas over spring break.  The only problem with that is Layla is stranded in Georgia and Charlie is going to a HackCon.  So, Felicity is spending her last spring break of freedom alone.  Schroeder has developed these three friends solidly, and they all have brains and skills that are considered ‘nerdy’ by some, but are so well integrated that these are girls you want to know. Felicity is the chemistry major, and her biggest fear is to meet new people.   With her friends unable to join her, a meeting with a handsome stranger that is in need of a date to a wedding, Felicity decides to take a chance and go along with Lucas’ plan to pretend to be his girlfriend, if he does one thing for her.  She has always thought herself awkward and unable to meet men, so Lucas agrees he will help her in her quest to learn. What we, and Lucas, see is that Felicity is no more incapable of meeting people than most of us are: it is her own insecurities that have her stymied.  Lucas finds her smart and attractive, and he is determined to serve as the guinea pig for her experiment.  This one was a little light on the characters and backstory, and could have used a bit more development in the relationship, but what we got was pure lighthearted vacation fun.  Their connection is electric and steamy, and their conversations and flirtation feel real and possible.  As a wrap up to the series, it fits the general feel and makes a nice conclusion to the stories from the three girls.  I read books 2 and 3 in succession, one after the other, and it was a wonderful diversion.  This is one of those 3 part series stories that would perfectly fill an afternoon when you need the diversion of a fun and happy romance.  I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

When I first saw the series Hot & Nerdy by Shannyn Schroeder, I just had to take a look.  Three books about three "nerd" girls, almost done with college and trying, unsuccessfully, to have a last hoorah together before heading in different directions. The first book, Her Best Shot, gave us Layla - the math whiz.  The second was Her Perfect Game with Charlie the hacker. And this final story is Felicity, the science nerd.  One of the best things about this trilogy is that its not the same girl, just with a different name and hair color.  Ms. Schroeder shows us that there is plenty of diversity attached to that wonderful 'Nerd' label.  Each of the girls has a completely different personality. Getting a peek a their interactions with each other was both fun and revealing of more facets of each character. Felicity is much more the 'typical' nerd that people think of - problems interacting socially, using math and science to calm herself when stressed. What was lovely is that Lucas sees beyond this and helps Felicity to see past what she thought of as her social awkwardness. I attribute his patience with Felicities quirks to his being a teacher. I heart me some Lucas. (And with a name like Lucas, I immediately pictured Lucas Black and that's the image that stayed.)  My biggest complaint about this series is that I want to know what happened in Vegas. (yes, yes, I know what happens in Vegas, blah blah.) I had hoped that this book would give us that final wrap up, where the girls come together once again and maybe introduce the guys to each other.  It didn't. *sniff*  On the other hand, that does leave us with an option for a follow up story. So, I am going to just keeping hoping and watching for a follow up.  Because darn it, I need to know what happened in Vegas when all three of them meet back up. I got this book through Netgalley for the book tour and gave this book a solid 4 stars.

An enjoyable New Adult romance that was both sweet and hot, Her Winning Formula was a really good read. It was fun, sweet, and I liked it. Felicity and Lucas were both great. Felicity was socially awkward in a way that made her easy to relate to. She was crazy smart and, despite her tendency to accidentally offend people, she was likable. Lucas was simply a good guy. Sweet, funny, and definitely adorable, he was just great. The romance was okay. I felt like it moved well at first, then got stuck in a rut before it moved on to its final steps. That part where it got stuck in stasis was a little annoying, but not a major problem. They were a sweet couple and they definitely had some hot chemistry. So, I still thought they were great together. The story was well paced, other than the aforementioned part that dragged a little, and enjoyable. I was kept interested all the way and I thought the ending was lovely. Her Winning Formula was a sweet and steamy New Adult romance that I enjoyed. Though not perfect, it was still an enjoyable read. Romance lovers, you might want to look this one up. *I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review
