About the Author

Gerry Clarke graduated from St Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia in 1966. His working career was as eclectic as the ideas developed in 'Heritage Lost". He was a buyer of ladies fashions and a merchandise manager for a Canadian department store in a career spanning 20 years. He operated his own store for 5 years then moved into car sales until retirement and now picks up high-end vehicles for service. (A job that allows him to be alone with his thoughts) His wife Donna and he lived in 4 different Provinces before raising their children Stephen and Dr. Elizabeth Clarke in Oakville Ontario.
Gerry's life of entrepreneurship, commission sales and hockey goaltending gives him a unique perspective on uncertainty which he explores here. Organizing the themes and boiling the ideas down to a coherent work has kept vitality in his life. He recommends others try a similar task.
