I have recently discovered the fascinating books of the Amish life by Beverly Lewis. Her descriptions of the Amish life transport me into their world. The Amish are wonderful people, set apart by the Lord Jesus. I am amazed at how hard-working the women are, and their submission to their husbands, as the Bible tells us. I feel that the Amish are so very fortunate to live in a "simple life", content with what they have, especially the wonderful friendships between the women. I plan to keep on reading Beverly Lewis's books about the Amish life. She is an extremely talented woman.
