I thought this was just a "good" soundtrack...I love Keane so I was excited to see their song on here. I really liked "Madly" by Tristan Prettyman, she is amazing and I need to look for other music by her. Maroon 5 and Corinne Bailey Rae are always great! Lily Allen's song "Smile" was great too. There is a lot that I will skip over and not put on my ipod though. I can't stand "Don't You Want Me" and was just fine with skipping right over it. The movie is cute and a lot of the soundtrack goes great with it.
I really love this soundtrack, which has a great mix of songs from new and classic artists. I've always liked The Human League's "Don't You Want Me, The Cure's "Friday I'm In Love," and Lilly Allen's "Smile," and now I'm a fan of songs and artists I've never heard of before I received this CD, such as Tristan Prettyman's "Madly" and My Morning Jacket's "I'm Amazed."
New artist Erin McCarley's "Love, Save The Empty," is a catchy tune that is one of my many favorites on the CD, and I was quite impressed with Scarlett Johansson's cover of Jeff Buckley's "Last Goodbye."
The He's Just Not That Into You soundtrack features a lot of great, upbeat songs that just get stuck in my head. I could keep listening to the entire CD over and over again. Lately I've been listening to the CD while I've been doing housework--it makes cleaning so much more enjoyable. If a CD can make housework more enjoyable, you know it's a good CD!
A cool thing about the soundtrack is that it is an enhanced CD, so when you pop it into your computer, you'll view a deleted scene of Scarlett Johansson singing the Last Goodbye.
The He's Just Not That Into You: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack has a great mix of songs from a variety of artists, genres, and decades--there's something for everyone!
This is my new favorite craft-a-long CD. With songs by Corinne Bailey Rae, Maroon 5, R.E.M., and The Replacements, it already looks a lot like my ultimate favorite playlist on my iPod. Throw in a couple of my favorite older songs, The Human League's "Don't You Want Me" and The Cure's "Friday I'm in Love", and you've got a seriously good mix of music. The last track, "Last Goodbye" is sung by Scarlett Johansson. It was a pleasant surprise and a good finish to a fun soundtrack.
New discovery: "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane. I don't know if I've heard this song before but I absolutely love it.
Other favorites: "Love, Save the Empty" by Erin McCarley
"Fruit Machine" by The Ting Tings
If how much I love the soundtrack = how much I'll love the movie, I'll probably fork over the money to see it in the theaters. That, and I have a major girl crush on Drew Barrymore.
Great mix of music, and a little of something for everyone. Old and new, upbeat and slow. This is a CD for every age, every mood, and a great addition to your playlist!
It's so great to find so many of my favorite artists on a soundtrack cd
I can pop in the car or play anytime of day or night. And to find that the songs are so listenable.
My favorite on the cd is James Morrison's "You Make It Real". His raspy soulful voice speaks to the heart.
Other tracks I love are Lily Allen's, Trisan Prettyman's, The Ting Tings', and, Keane's timeless "Somewhere Only We Know". Corinne Bailey's song is sensual and smooth.
To be honest, though, the only song I'm not fond of is Scarlett Johansson's. It seems weaker than the rest and doesn't quite fit.
I do love the mix of styles and genres here, from classics such as R.E.M. and Human League to Maroon 5 and the altrock of My Morning Jacket.
This cd covers all the moods, ups and downs of love and I highly recommend it.
A fabulous melange of great musicians and songs.
It is OK. I don't love it, and I don't hate it. It has some stuff from the 80s, 90s and today, but most of the songs are kind of boing and difficult t sing along to if that is what you like to do, like me!! :) I found that I actually only liked like 3 songs on the entir disc. It is a good background disc if you're cleaning or cooking, the could've picked a better compilation of songs. I was glad to hear Lily Allen's 'smile' and a Maroon 5 song, but the whole thing is just relly blah. I saw the movie and the movie is WAY better than the CD.
I received this for free through one2onenetworks.com
This cd did not let me down! I loved every song! I listen to it on my way to work every day!
The music is a fantastic mix of great artists from different genre's and generations including REM, The Cure, Ting Ting, Lily Allen and The Black Crowes. This is music I can totally relate to! It's got an authentic "grown up" feel; full of eclectic, fun, flirty, soulful lyrics and melodies. I feel like the music was created for me...a GROWN woman...with grown up, complicated problems instead of a 13 year old school girl devastated because I didn't make the cheer team! (Which I know is a terrible thing in it's own teen angst kind of way!) My favorite part of the CD was Scarlett Johansson's "Last Goodbye". The cd contains "enhanced content", a deleted scene where Scarlett Johannson's character sings this beautiful song in what appears to be a piano bar or lounge. Frankly I'm still stunned by this song! I had no idea she had such wonderful talent. I HIGHLY recommend He's Just Not That Into You album!
There's something for everyone here: "old" artists like The Cure and REM alongside newer artists such as Corinne Baily Ray and Lily Allen.
This melange gets me looking both forward an backwards, and I'm into it!
"He's just not that into you" is a great soundtrack. It is a fabulous mix of new songs and old favorites. The soundtrack takes you through every emotion you have when dealing with relationships. The only song I'm not fond of is Scarlett Johansson's. It seems doesn't quite fit and I did not like it .My favorites- " Friday I'm In Love, and" By your side".
Vivid, is the thought that came to mind, as I listened to this soundtrack while doing my ironing!
The soulful sounds of Corinne Bailey Ray and James Morrison, mix with the alternative rock of My Morning Jacket.
Then of course for those of us over thirty, the nostalgic tunes like Don't You Want Me (The Human League) and Friday I'm In Love (The Cure), transport you to a different era.
Erin McCarley's catchy track; Love, Save the Empty is here and Scarlett Johansson sings a Last Goodbye. (Who knew she could sing?)
All in all I give this soundtrack a smiley face, if I can lose myself in ironing for an hour, and not notice how tedious it is, the music is doing it's job! Besides you doesn't want to listen to a mix of songs that includes one called "Fruit Machine"?
I really enjoyed listening to this CD. I received it as a promo for being in the One2One Network Program and am so glad I did. It's got a lot of soulful and fun songs on here. It offers a great variety of music genres. It makes the drive home from work breeze by. My favorite song is Madly. Good stuff!
This soundtrack is great! It is a great mix of many different kinds of music. I love soundtracks like this that have such a range of music genres.
I love this CD more each time I listen to it! The soundtrack is generous with 17 different artists offering songs that make you want to sway to the music. It feels like a blast of summer in the middle of winter and I can see myself listening to it on the beach in a couple of months. The tracks are upbeat, laced with drumbeats that aren't too heavy. There are a few classics mixed with newer contemporary songs. I can't wait to see the movie to feel how the music weaves into the plot (as all good soundtracks do)!
I really enjoy this cd.The music is very good, my favorites being Maroon 5, R.E.M. & Lily Allen.
I have played this cd many times.
I really want to see the movie!
I haven't purchased a movie soundtrack in years, but I am very happy with this one! I acutally liked most of the songs and found it to be fun and uplifting to listen to. I'm not a huge fan of the song "Don't You Want Me" but it's easy enough to skip over. I would highly recommend this cd!
A fine blend of old and new songs making me feel like I never left music scene at all. The ensemble of singers to the likes of Human League, R.E.M, Cure, Talking Heads etc brings a host of talent together for you to sample in one classic disc. The additional soundtrack by Scarlett Johansson (Last Goodbye) is an extra treat since it is not featured in the movie itself. My favorites were "Don't you want me" (Human League) and "I'd Like To" (Corinne Bailey Rae) but the entire soundtrack was totally listenable. Since I decided to give the music a listen in the car, it surprised me to hear my 3 year old (whose idea of music only extend to kiddie tunes) scream out "Put it louder mama". And indeed I did.
I literally can't wait to see this movie, so I was thrilled when I got my CD! Most of the time I'm constantly hitting "next" on my CD player going to the next song b/c I just didn't like that actual song... I hate it when I buy a CD just for one song! Anyways, my husband was listening to it with me for the first time, and he's a major music junkie. He turned to me and said "wow, this is an amazing CD!". It has so many different types of music in it, and the plus side of this CD is that Scarlett Johannsan (I'm sure I butchered her name) sings on it too! She does have a pretty beautiful voice! So, check it out, I don't think you'll be disappointed!
I really think this a great CD to listen to! Very enjoyable to relax and listen to. One of my favorite tracks is If I never see your face again by Maroon 5..
The "He's Just Not that Into You" Soundtrack has a really good flow to it. I expected to find myself skipping through songs like I normally find when I purchase or listen to a full cd. With this cd, I did not find any of the songs that I felt the need to skip through. The entire cd has a very mellow feel to it, so it is a good fit for both cleaning music, and even while you are doing other chores. I found it very pleasant to listen to while driving, and it kept me from feeling road rage :). I have actually listened to the cd many times since purchasing, and will be transferring it to my iPod as a playlist. I think that my favorite aspect of this cd is that it has a good mix of older songs, combined with new fresh songs, yet all of them are pleasurable to listen to. If the soundtrack is this good, I definitely look forward to what the movie provides!
This CD has not left my stereo yet! I have enjoyed the variety of music so much. Scarlett's voice was very surprising in the final song, I was very impressed. Definately worth the purchase!
I would recommend this CD for any age. I had the music on when my daughter came home and she enjoyed it just as much as I did. Really like the r.e.m., morrison and maroon 5 songs!
I received this CD from the One2One Network (check it out). Whenever you receive something for which you did not have to pay, your expectations remain conservative. I have to say, in this case, I was pleasantly surprised. This CD gives the buyer a great surprise with its variety of artists and songs. It offers something familiar---the Talking Heads and the Human League to something less familiar-----Wilco. I live in Illinois and this band started in Chicago; I had never heard of them before. They are sort of alternative country/rock---not really sure where they belong.
A wonderful surprise on the cd is that we get to hear Scarlett Johnansson sing. I never knew she could. I would recommend this cd because I never get tired of listening to it and the variety will keep you listening for a long time. Thank You One2One!
The CD has put me in the mood to see the movie as the music chosen gives hints to the greatness of the story to come. I¿d been interested in seeing the movie because of the trailers and the actors; however, after listening to the music I¿m more convinced than ever that the hubby and I are going to go and enjoy this movie together.
For a CD with a mix of styles that still feels cohesive in its entirety, we heartily recommend this a must listen.
I love the way this cd starts out. A good funk, and talking about summer, cause it is February and COLD! Corrine Bailey Rae sets the tone correctly. Honestly there aren't too many songs on here that I haven't heard before but I adore each one. It is almost like a mix tape that a good friend would make for you to cheer you up. I know My Morning Jacket is exactly a household name yet but they should be, or Wilco for that matter. (goodness they both RULE FACE!) I could honestly do without Maroon 5 and their song on this soundtrack didn't help my dislike for them at all. I will admit I was nervous about little hottie Scarlett doing my man Jeff Buckley's song, Last Goodbye, just by how much the press had butchered her when her CD came out. I thought she did it BEAUTIFULLY! I was very impressed. Buckley was a beautiful singer songwriter and I was scared, but I applaud her!
My dogs LOVE the Talking Heads' This Must Be the Place, But I am sure they have heard their mama play it before. If you don't like that talking heads, you might need your head examined. ;-)
Overall I give this a a fantastic. Keep me happy and satisfied as I ran my errands!
