by Hesher

Hesher (born Chip Love) is full of stories, yet a dangerous slicer and dicer when it comes to checking the rhyme. His self-titled debut is wry with punk rock thrash and trippin' hip-hop. It bursts with energy and the skankin' kids do have a little soul and a little heart. Guest artists on Self-Titled Debut include the Deftones' Chino Moreno, Everlast, Bad Brains, and rapper Biz Markie. Songs such as "Crazy American Cheese Sandwiches" and "Lighter Thief" make for a comical listen, slightly rude like Detroit's foul-mouthed rapper Kid Rock. But that's Hesher's plan: To be able to poke fun while cutting a hard rhythm, and sharing stories with a bit of honesty.

Hesher's 'Self-Titled Debut' is one of the best cds that you'll ever own! With song titles ranging from the weird ''Crazy American Cheese Sandwiches'' to a more normal title like ''Word You Said.'' The songs will just blow you away!! With a rock/rap hybrid feel, this cd will definately be loved! My favorite songs would have to be ''Whose Generation'', a remake of the old ''My Generation'' with a newer feel, ''Crazy American Cheese Sandwiches'', and of course, we can't forget ''Things!'' Before i got the cd, i didn't exactly know what to expect. I didn't know the type of music i'd be hearing, or anything like that. When i first put the cd in my stereo, it was just totally awesome! I'm listening to it right now while typing this review!! So, if you have to have any cd in the year 2001, be sure to pick up 'Self-Titled Debut' from Hesher! He'll love you for it!! So Hesh on baby!!

Hesher's ''Self-Titled Debut'' is a remarkable album! Hesher's style is a breathe of fresh air from all the other rock-rap acts in the music industry. ''Self-Titled Debut'' features everything from thrashing guitars and hip-hop inspired rhymes to mellow ballads. ''Presto Chango'' is an amazing hard rock joint that will have you banging your head. ''Whose Generation'' is a rework of the Who classic ''My Generation'', and features hip-hop veterans Biz Markie and Everlast. ''Out My Window'' is an example of a softer, mellower Hesher. ''Self-Titled Debut'' features twelve tracks and each one is sure to have you nodding your head in approval. If you only buy one album this year, make it Hesher's ''Self-Titled Debut.''

Hesher:SELF-TITLED DEBUT Let me say first off this CD rocks! And its almost never outta my CD player! Its so unique and rockin'! The first song 'Presto Chango' is ALWAYS in my head it just has a great beat and you can jamm to it! His personality truely shows through his musc! You can tell he has dedication and talent! My personal favorite song on the album would be track 2 'My Generation' cause he takes a clasic song and total rocks it out! Hesh's sense of humor cracks me up how can you not love a song called 'Crazy American Cheese Sandwhiches'? The name itself is fun! I think one of the lighter songs on the album would be the 4th track but yet it still rocks and its not got hard core beat! It kinda reminds me of 70s classic rock but hey who doesn`t love that! Anyways this CD rocks and i would totally recomend it to anyone cause it has awesome songs, great beats, and mad rapping skills!
