I never expected her to be the one saving me.

This book navigates some painful topics in a really realistic way. I totally appreciate how difficult it must have been to write about the aftermath of a loved ones intentional death ... especially how Hetch experiences it. River didn't make light of the pain nor did she allow it to become the whole focus of the book. That's a difficult line to walk and she did it beautifully.

This book had me on a roller coaster of emotions. Liam [Hetch] Hetcherson is SWAT; team leader taking his men into delicate yet serious situations. He is trained to save lives and take bad ones. His dad committed suicide and Liam [Hetch] is having trouble dealing with, he even has dreams about it. Then you have Liberty Jenson who is on a sabbatical sort of. She has thrown herself into her work. Her job at Boys Haven is not only important to her but she takes it with the up most responsibility. These boys are turning the corners and can be pulled back into the streets at any moment. The first time Hetch and Liberty meet face to face, the chemistry between them is hot and intense. Later that night they realize they've actually met before, but in a funny round about way. Then one night Liberty gets hurt and hHetch is the Police Officer who responds and his protective instincts kick in and he pushes his way into Liberty's life. Hetch and Liberty do end up having some Hot and Steamy sex scenes. I love all the characters in this book. I truly loved this book. Awesome book River Savage. Can't wait until Men of S.W.A.T Book 2 comes out!! This is a MUST read book!!

This story was amazing and nothing like what River has normally wrote at all. It hit some soft spots with me as a reader but it was still amazing and wonderful to read. It had a happy ending that I was not expecting at all. Reading something by River I knew from the start that my emotions were going to be on a roller coaster up, down, up, down over and over again but I enjoyed every minute of it. It's a MUST read with a 2 person POV each person fights their own demons in the story and the way they overcome this is truly magic and beautiful in it's own way. The way River has this story unfold on the pages for you in one of a kind. You can't seem to get enough of it once you start. I loved every word from cover to cover and every page had it's own meaning, which deff made the story even better if you ask me. I Loved it!!! ***I received this story for free in exchange for an honest review, see more of my review @ http://jmhoward2007.blogspot.com/2016/05/review-hetch-by-river-savage.html ***

Once again, River Savage has given her readers a fantastic story! This is the first book in the much anticipated Men of S.W.A.T. series. Can't wait for more!!! I absolutely LOVED Liberty Jenson!!! So sassy & so much heart. And Liam 'Hetch' Hetcherson, OH MY!!! Who doesn't love a sexy man in a uniform. Hetch has his ghosts & his way of dealing is booze & women (one night stands). But it doesn't take long after meeting Liberty that he realizes that maybe he wants more than just one night with her. But Liberty knows he's a player, after all, she's heard him on the other side of her wall. Will she give him a chance? Will he let his ghosts ruin what they have? A couple of my favorite lines: She laughs a carefree laugh, and I make a promise to myself that for every day I know her, I'll try to make her laugh like that again. "Yeah. Like when someone doesn't know their vision isn't perfect. They think they can see fine. But the moment they put those glasses for the first time, they see everything so clearly, so vivid. They realize how much detail and beauty they've been missing. That's Hetch. He's my glasses."

This book was another in a long line that has broken my heart and then stitched it back together. I've always loved River Savage's MC novels, but this one really impressed me. Liam Hetcherson is a member, a leader, of the SWAT team. His job involves not only normal police work, but more complicated hostage relations and negotiating. He is a strong man, great at his job, but his past is beginning to severely limit his present. When he meets Liberty, she is most definitely not one of those females who is willing to simply fall into his lap. He sees her as a challenge, and honestly believes HE is the one helping HER. Liberty is an independent, strong, sassy, and loyal woman. She works with troubled youth and devotes not only most of her time, but a large chunk of her heart to them. She is daily going head-to-head with not only their personal demons, but their literal ones as well, often putting herself into danger. When she meets Hetch, she is not interested in a round or two of "fun" and tries to steer clear. That doesn't work. Both of these characters have such great hearts that it broke mine to see them suffer. This story made me feel so much. The events in each of their lives caused them to look deep into themselves and discover what was important and that they could survive the negative events that they had gone through. This was such a vivid representation of the effects that one person's action can have one someone who is close to them, and then how that effect can be transferred through to others. This is definitely an awesome and moving read. If you're sensitive to subject matter relating to suicide, tread cautiously. But it is in no way done in bad taste. A most definite 5 Star beginning to a series!

River Savage has written another winning story. I cannot wait for book 2. Liam Hetcherson is a member of the SWAT team who just happens to live next door to Liberty. They have never met, but the walls are so thin, they can hear each other through the walls. Payton is Liberty's sister-in-law and best friend. After her break up with Liberty's brother, they go out for the evening. Liam (a/k/a Hetch) sees Liberty sitting with a bunch of friends and sends her a drink, which she politely refuses, but Hetch is not one to take no for an answer. The chemistry between Hetch and Liberty is Hot. Liberty is a woman who has no problem telling Hetch like it is, and Hetch likes it. Go figure The Men of SWAT are police officers who have an unbreakable bond. They have each others backs, but they also don't cut each other any slack. This is a story and a series worth reading.

Let me start by saying I love this author. I would give this book a 3.5. I just didn't connect with the characters like I have with her other books. I was more interested in the secondary characters. About half way through it started to get better. The book fell short and seemed rushed

Another great book by River Savage. Touching and sensitive way to talk about what is often still considered a taboo topic, suicide. And that it is okay to ask for help and that it's not a weakness to not be okay, especially if u r a guy.

From the moment I saw the amazing cover of Hetch, I knew I had to read it. From the second I read its alluring blurb, I knew I had to devour it as soon as humanly possible. As soon as I knew this book was written by River Savage, I had no doubt that it would give me an all-feeling, intensely heated and emotionally gripping story that I wouldn’t soon forget. And you know what, I was definitely right with those thoughts. Hetch was an all-consuming read that packed the perfect level of mesmerizing heat and connection, heartfelt and thoughtfully crafted emotion, and two characters that seared themselves to my heart from the very first moment I met them. Now it’s no secret that I am a huge fan of River Savage. I have read and loved all of her books, and they have all given me some phenomenal reading experiences, along with some pretty unforgettable characters. When I sit down to read a book of hers I know it will pack one helluva story that will have me on the edge of my seat feeling and experiencing it all through every page. I also know that her writing will completely encapsulate me within her story, her world, and with her characters in a way that feels so real, so raw and authentic, and just so wonderful. Hetch was no different, and I was blown away by what I got within the pages of this book. Hetch and Liberty’s story in this book was mesmerizing and emotionally intense to say the least. I felt every single word of it as they tried to figure out what in the world they were doing with one another. Experiencing what it was like for those two to find each other, feel for one another, and fall oh so wonderfully hard for one another was everything, and I loved every moment I got with them in this book. Hetch is an emotionally charged story of what happens when you meet that one person who puts you back together in ways you never knew possible. It’s about how the right person can give you things you never even knew you needed, and how they can give you it all, if you only open yourself and your heart up to them. This book is about feeling and living and loving with all that you have, and about letting go of that past that threatens to consume you, so that you can embrace that future that just might give you it all. I loved every bit of Hetch and Liberty’s story in this book. I loved what it made me feel, how it made me fall, and how it gave me their enrapturing story that was so full of meaningful emotion, and an intense and heart squeezing connection that just couldn’t be beat. Those two have a connection and a dynamic that bursts from the page, and I just couldn’t get enough of it. What they share and what they go through in this book together will have you feeling and caring for them both so much, and in the end you will just love them both to pieces. I know I did. I thought this was an outstanding first book in this new and enthralling series, and I can’t wait to get more time with these characters soon. I have a feeling this series will be one of my new favorites, and I have no doubt that River Savage will continue to blow me away with all she’s got as she brings The Men of S.W.A.T. to the my eagerly awaiting hands. Hetch was phenomenal in every way. I am telling you that you want this intense, enrapturing, and all-feeling book in your life as soon as possible, and I have no doubt that you will love Liberty and Hetch with all you’ve got!

River Savage has done it again! I’ve enjoyed all of her books and this latest book is no exception. It’s highly emotional and deals with some heavy issues but it’s also a romance. There are also definitely plenty of steamy sex scenes to round it out to make one hell of a story. Hetch and Liberty start off as neighbors with too thin walls and some entertaining interactions before they get together. Hetch is dealing with his father’s suicide (or rather not dealing with it) while Liberty gets involved with some unsavory characters while trying to protect a boy from the boys home she runs. These two both have strong personalities but they complement each other. Hetch is protective of Liberty when it comes to physical threats but he has his own baggage to deal with while this is going on. They both have that innate urge to protect but go about it in different way. I loved how easy it was to get absorbed in Hetch and Liberty’s world. The story was written really well. It flowed nicely and I felt like I was drawn into the book from page one. There was just the right amount of detail to make a reader feel like they’re living the moments with the characters. I felt a vested interest in the outcome of these characters’ lives and I really can’t wait for more in this new series. 5 out of 5 stars!!!!

Captain A extraordinary start to a sizzling series that will ROCK YOUR WORLD. Once again River has a talent for telling a tale that draws you in and leaves you holding your breath until the final page. This is the PHENOMENAL story of Liberty and Hetch. Hetch is team leader of a highly trained S.W.A.T. unit that is called upon in high risk situations, Liberty is a youth worker who does what she can to help at risk teens. Their first meeting wasn't even face to face but wall to wall and it was hilarious as well as HOT. When they finally meet and realize that their neighbors is even more funnier but from the first interaction Hetch is hooked and Liberty is trying her hardest to stick to her no sex ban. Unfortunately Hetch is SEX ON A STICK and alpha to the core and what woman can resist that. Through many trials and tribulations that this dynamic pair go through, this story will touch your soul, its going to pull so many emotions from you. You never know what emotion it will have you displaying from hilarity, to sorrow, chemistry that will have your panties melting, to the all around feel goods. The writing is intense and the storyline is POWERFUL. The author blew me away with her words and my favorite line in the book was when Liberty was explaining what her man meant to her "Hetch, he’s like glasses, like when someone doesn’t know their vision isn’t perfect, they think they can see fine, but the moment they put those glasses on for the first time, they see everything so clearly, so vivid. They realize how much detail and beauty they’ve been missing. That’s Hetch. He’s my glasses". I'm officially a River Savage fan for life!!!

Hetch is a S.W.A.T. team leader. He often has to talk people down in hostage or suicide situations. He's had some experience with this in his personal life also. Sometimes it all gets to be too much for him. He's great at helping others, but he needs to learn to give himself that same courtesy. Liberty works in a home for teen boys. It's not an easy job. Many of her charges have the streets calling them, and she goes above and beyond to try to keep them on the right path. Her job is pretty much her life. When these two first get together, you never know if they're going to fight or fall into bed. He's not used to being told no. She's unable to bite her tongue. It makes for some colorful dialogue between them. This book is a mix of sassy, sexy and sweet. It has sincere and strength moments too. I really liked Hetch. If you like cop or law dramas that show the job life and home life, this is right up your alley.

Excellent book. Would highly recommend. I am anxious for book two in this series. Liberty and Hetch were great together. The book is very emotional and very well written. I liked the rest of the characters in this first book. I felt bad for Liberty's sister in law and I hope her and Fox are in book number 2. You will not be disappointed with this book. I have read quite a few books by River and I have not been disappointed.

I have read many books and series, and I cannot wait for more to be released, to learn more about the lives of the SWAT team. A page turner that kept me up late at night to see what happens next.

Hetch was a great start to a new series from River Savage. It started off with a bang and had me hooked from the get go. I have to be honest it stalled a little mid way through, however, it ended on a real high. As with all River's books, she delivers great characters and really excels at getting across the emotion through the pages. Hetch was a super sexy read that was also laced with humour and emotion. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next book in this series. I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. On a side note, I love the cover of this book and can't wait to get a signed copy of this for my collection.
