The book is about a cowgirl angel named Pixie and a little Native American boy named Chuhk. Pixie helps Chuhk to deal with the death of his family members by looking for the Hey You's From Heaven and to realize that carrying others through grief is a sacred act of love.

Cynthia Dowdall-Thomae, Ph.D. was one of the first elementary school counselors in the nation. She currently oversees peer support teams of uniformed personnel that respond to disasters and mass casualites. Susan Quinn, M.Ed. is a a third grade teacher who lost several students to tragedy. This book was inspired by these losses because many children had questions about heaven.
