Highland Harry-Monster Slayer
It's 2035 and climate change is wreaking havoc. The warming of the waters brought all the things expected, except for one-monsters. To make things worse, a well-known photographer out trekking the fast-melting permafrost, in the Artic Circle, unknowingly, introduces a deadly virus into civilization and pandemic overwhelms the world. Eighteen-year-old Harry, martial artist and swordsperson from small town Massachusetts, is still grieving his mother's loss to the fast moving 'Bug' Harry and his father, Harold Sr., are the only two remaining members of the Morel Street Marauders, a squad of immune slayers mustering under the leadership of the retired Marine Corp Sergeant. Harold Sr. finds he can no longer remain in the house he had shared with his beloved wife, Marji, lost to the pandemic. He is determined to travel north to hook up with an old Marine Corps buddy, not seen for years. Harry is reluctant to leave all he knows, but there is no resisting his tenacious patriarch.
Sergeant Harold's imprudent decision will open a Pandora's box of lethal encounters that will test the mettle of the two monster slayers, ultimately propelling one of them out into a world turned upside down to become that proverbial stranger in a strange land.
