Its a wonderful, exciting, suspencefull book filled with a lot of conflick but through all of the ups and down love is the lucky winner in this battle between to opposing forces and the 2 lovers who struggle through family fudes, revenge, duty, honor, and hate so that they can be together and come to terms with the present and past.

Decent storyline and good characters. My main problem with the book was there was too much inner dialog. So one character would ask a question and the other person would take 4 pages to answer. It got to the point where I would have to flip back to remember what they were talking about. It made the story a little slow for me.

Very good book. Alot better than the first book in This trilogy. Just loved Patrick. Looking forward to reading # 3 Highland scoundrel. Read it, you will enjoy it. Just under 300 pages.

Monica McCarty never dissappoints! I loved the story of Elizabeth and Patrick. The one thing I really like about all of her books is how all of the characters entertwine together from her other books and this one is no exception... a great read; I highly recommend it!!!
