Where Romance Meets Fantasy and Adventure...

I love reading romance, but even more, I love to write it. My characters hound me, demanding their stories are told. I'm happy to oblige, giving them the romance they're after, provided they can accept a little angst and adventure along the way.

In beautiful New Zealand, I live with my hubby and four energetic children, and currently have several series underway. I write historical Highlander romances featuring strong heroines whose paths collide with their delicious Highland heroes, as well as fast-paced YA/NA fantasy romance, and heart-pounding romantic suspense.

There is no greater feeling than seeing my characters come to life, so come and join me...where romance meets fantasy and adventure.

A very entertaining adventure! ! Loved the characters and the fae abilities of the people. A little too many love scenes for my taste but a great book never the less.

I really love the two of them together. Kyla is loyal to a fault, sacrificing herself for her loved ones safety and happiness. Ronan is the headstrong warrior out to capture his soul bound mate. From warring clans, how will they be able to live happily together? I don't want to have any spoilers in my review, so I'll keep it short and simple. This is an amazing book. One you definitely don't want to miss. Honestly, you don't want to miss any of Joanne Wadsworth's books. She is an amazingly talented author. The way she weaves stories and draws you in is pure talent. I love getting lost in her books. The world building is done so well, I feel like I'm walking right alongside the characters. I'm always sad when I come to the end of one of her books because I don't want to leave the world she's written. I don't like coming back to reality, lol. I cannot wait for her next book to come out ***I received a complimentary copy in return for an honest review***

Highlander's Bride by Joanne Wadsworth is another great example of Ms Wadsworth's talent. Highlander's Bride is a bit time travel and a bit paranormal. Ms Wadsworth has once again managed to wow me with her fantastic characters. I love how characters from previous books are wove into Ms Wadsworth's books, it's like visiting with old friends. Ronan and Kyla's story is a suspenseful, exciting read. There is plenty of action, humor and sizzle is this fantastic book. Highlander's Bride is book 1 of The Fae Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. Highlander's Bride is a fairly short read, perfect for those with limited time for reading. I received a copy of this book for review purposes.

This is a great book; this is the first book of The Fae series by Joanne Wadsworth. Kyla MacKenzie was kidnapped when she was young because of her fae blood. She has been raised for the past twenty years as the chief’s foster daughter. The chief has threatened to kill her parents if she ever tells anyone about her abduction. Ronan Matheson is a warrior and has been captured by his clan’s greatest enemy. When Kyla is ordered to tend to the captured enemy warrior Ronan, she realizes that they share a soul bond. If you are looking for a great Scottish romance then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Kyla was kidnapped twenty years ago by an enemy chieftain who threatened to kill her parents if she ever revealed his crime. Colin MacKenzie, her captor, covets her fae blood and demands that she wed one of his sons. He wants her gift in his blood line. Ronan Matheson was captured by the MacKenzies, and held prisoner. When Kyla tended him, their attraction sizzled. He knows that she's his chosen one. His rescue forces him to leave her, but he will be back to claim his heart's desire. Can he convince Kyla to be his? I loved this exhilarating adventure. Kayla is a feisty heroine who has willingly sacrificed to protect her loved ones. Ronan is a fierce highland warrior who will cherish and protect his mate. They are both strong and compelling characters. They pulled me into their story. The Scottish Higlands are a perfect background for our lovers. I enjoyed their dialogue. It's smart and sassy. Kyla knows how to bedevil her man. Joanne Wadsworth has written an intriguing story filled with amazing characters. The tension and the chemistry made me swoon. I enjoy her well crafted and cleverly plotted romances. I'm looking forward to the next book in The Fae series. I received a copy in exchange for an honest and unscripted review.

Highlander's Bride: Medieval Romance. #2 in the new and what promises to be an exciting series "The Fae" by Joanne Wadsworth. A Medieval Time Travel Romance with the near extinct Fae, desperation for survival, passion, betrayal, deceit and finding one's soul mate. Fast paced, action filled with intriguing and endearing characters. The storyline is written with Ms. Wadsworth's usual aplomb for intrigue, magic, passion and love with a taste of danger on the side. Many twists and turns. The reader will find themselves turning pages, to find the truth. You can almost feel the characters' angst and frustration. The H/H are perfect for each other. They're passionate, devoted to saving the magic of the Fae, and keeping their soul and hearts bound to each other. A delight to read with paranormal elements. Love, simply pours off the pages. "Highlander's Bride" has everything a Historical Paranormal, Time Travel Romance reader would wish for, passion, suspense, true friendship, trust and the magic of love. A must read story! I look forward to the next installment. A great read! *Received for an honest review from the author* Rating: 4.5 Heat rating: Mild Reviewed by: AprilR

This is the seventh book in the Matheson Brothers series and I love it! The storyline was engaging and kept my interest as well as the drama, twists, mistakes and emotional turmoil created tension for the couple. Ronan and Kyla are both strong characters and that made for a well balanced couple. The attraction between the couple simmered along nice as they engaged in a chemistry that was steamy and hot. I am so in love with this series and very excited to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Once a gain we are visiting the Matheson brothers and their time travelling bear shifter life and their quest for their fated mates This is Warrior Ronan Matheson story he has been searching for his fated mate for years and now as an injured warrior been held by his greatest enemy he doesn't expect to come across his mate. Kyla MacKenzie has ben raised as the foster daughter of the clan after been kidnapped because he wants her fae blood in his family he has threatened her family if she tells anyone the truth but when a wounded warrior calls to her what will she do. When he is rescued by his family he will take her with him now she must learn all about her family and her past. Another great story in this wonderful series While each can be read as a stand alone I would recommend that you read them all in order to get the full affect of the story line.

This is Kyla and Ronan’s story. Christina, born of Fae parents, had been kidnapped at a young age by Laird Colin MacKenzie, a fierce Highland Chieftain and the Mathesons’ greatest enemy. His plan was to raise her as Kyla MacKenzie and, when she was old enough, marry her to one of his three sons. This would make sure his family’s line would contain Fae blood going forward. To keep her in line, he threatened to kill her parents if she said anything to anyone about his kidnapping her. Her family had warned her never to reveal any Fae gift in front of the MacKenzie clan. When Ronan Matheson was captured by the MacKenzies and imprisoned, 20 years later, Kyla was sent to tend to his wounds. He recognizes that she is his chosen one. Although he is rescued by his warriors and must leave her for a short time, he will not abandon her. He must find a way to free her from the MacKenzie clan! If he is successful, is Kyla willing to bind herself to Ronan? Will they be able to escape the MacKenzies? This was a good addition to the series! We have Fae and time travel mixed into a Scottish Highlander story and it really does add that extra touch to keep the reader enthralled! Great story line and well-defined characters bring it all together in an exciting story. Don’t miss this one!

Joanne Wadsworth continues her wonderful series of the Matheson Brothers with Highlander's Bride, book #7. I am absolutely loving this series and I was so excited to read Kyla and Ronan's story, it sure didn't disappoint! It's taken 20 years for Ronan to find his chosen mate again and now that he's found her, he has no intention of letting her go. Unfortunately there are others who will try to separate them and they must fight to get their HEA. The love and passion they have for each other had me swooning, it's so powerful. A very well written story that involves characters with fae blood and the powers that come with it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

If you're looking for a good historical romance taken place in the medieval time period look no further. I highly recommend this one if you're a fan of the genre. I couldn't put this down, but that's what I expect when I read a book by Joanne. I'm a huge fan of her writing and this one didn't disappoint. I really like the fae element to the story. It brings so much to it. Kyla was kidnapped when she was younger for her fae blood now Ronan will do anything to reach her. She's the lass he's been looking for. Nothing is going to be easy though because Kyla's blood is coveted by the enemy and he won't let her slip through his fingers. You can feel the connection between Ronan and Kyla. It's a nice fast read.
