((I DON'T OWN ANYTHING WRITTEN ABOUT IN RICJ RIORDAN'S "Percy Jackson & the Olympians series" or "Heroes of Olympus series"!!!!)) Don't Look Back: A Percy Jackson fanfiction Chapter One~ "You can't go, Claire!" Elly protests. Her short brown hair is the definition of "bed-head", and her wide blue eyes are pleading. I smile and ruffle her wild hair. "I'll be back soon, El. Just a month. I haven't been out of camp for two years!" She folds her arms, and her face forms a pout. "I can't leave!" "I know, and I wish you could." I tell her honestly. "But I'm going on a big kid trip with some other older kids." Elly rolls her eyes and looks away. "I'm ELEVEN. I'm not a 'little kid'," She makes finger quotes around the words, "anymore. Don't pull the 'big kid' crap with me. I'm WAY past that. So, fine, go. I'll see you in a month." All my attempts at reasoning evaporate. "Look, the last time I was out in the real world was when I was FOURTEEN. I was on a QUEST. I almost DIED. Don't try to guilt me into staying cooped up here 'til I die so you can have someone to hang out with!" I sigh and hug her. "I'll see you soon, sis." I tell her, before grabbing my blue duffel bag and leaving. "Bye, Claire." Elly calls after me. She sounds sad. I smile over my shoulder. "Bye. Cheer up, El. You won't have to deal with me and Jack's constant chatter, or Jonah's snoring! That's good, right?" She smiles back. "Yeah..." I turn and walk out the door.
