What a wonderful story. You think you know what is going to happen and things go sideways or upside down. Enjoyed the characters even the one you love to hate.

My moral compass got in the way of me enjoying the story His Flower Queen is the story of a casino mogul, Gabriel “Gabe” Alexander, and Regina “Nina” Connors, a PR maven, who is hired by Gabe and his partner David Carrone, to do PR for their casino Royal Courts. Problem is, Nina doesn’t know that Gabe is part owner of the resort where she’s recently been hired. Their relationship begins with a hint of scandal. Gabe is married, technically separated, however he’s never mentioned any of this to Nina. They continue to see each other for months and it isn’t until Nina is offered the job in Las Vegas that their relationship begins to unravel. Not only does she find out that her boyfriend is her boss, she also finds out that the guy she’s been madly in love with is married. There’s a whole lot of drama in this story and if that’s your cup of tea then you will be satisfied with His Flower Queen. This was my first time reading Ms. Hart’s work and while the writing was good, despite a few grammatical issues, the subject matter wasn’t intriguing for me. I didn’t enjoy the way Nina was portrayed. I prefer my heroines to be a bit firm in their demeanor and feisty throughout the duration of the book. Gabe basically lied to Nina from day one and the reader gets this epic hotel scene where the couple fights and she threatens to leave but in the next few pages they’ve made up and she’s willing to give him another chance. I was no longer invested in the characters after that exchange. I suppose my moral compass got in the way of me enjoying the story. In the world today, there are many people who are separated and dating but I would hope that the majority of them share their status with the person they’re seeking to “start over” with. A relationship that is built on lies doesn’t have a solid future, in my opinion. As always, I’m in awe of authors that share their talents with the world at large. If an author can evoke emotion they’ve done well. I won’t let this story detract me from enjoying any of Ms. Hart’s future work. As I stated, the writing style was great and easy to follow but the story itself, wasn’t enjoyable enough for me to give it more than three stars. -Reviewed by Natalie

It was great to see the internal struggle between the two main characters. Gabe struggled with wanting to tell Nina about himself but afraid of losing her and Nina wanted to be with Gabe but she didn't think she had it in her to give him any more chances. I loved the moments toward the end when they were together and was glad to see them get their happy ending. Overall, great story, would highly recommend!

The whole billionaire love stories are my guilty pleasures. I really did enjoy reading this book, it was well written. I only did not like one character, that's it. In the future, I will get other books from this series.

4 stars I purchased His Flower Queen a 2 book bundle by Lena Hart May 18,2017 and this review was given freely. The story opens mid relationship with the disillusioned Bostonian Regina, who has just found out that Gabe is married and has been lying to her for seven months, flying to Las Vegas for a PR campaign for Royal Courts Resorts. Flashbacks to moments between "Nina" and Gabe intersperse present day drama and intrigue at the Royal Courts. This is a serious and sometimes steamy rocky romance filled with one lie or twist after another including a drug related abuse scene but ultimately ends happily. over 18 recommended. 4 stars I purchased a copy of His Bedpost Queen in the 2 book bundle His Flower Queen by Lena hart May 18, 2017 and this review was given freely. The His Queen nevada based series continues with Gabe's best friend and business partner David whose connection to crime comes back to haunt him in the form of his childhood crew the Acerra Brothers and Athena. This second chance at love steamy romance covers the same time frame in His Flower Queen with interconnecting scenes related from "David's" view and covers such topics as family loyalty, unrequited love, betrayal, and addiction. This novel contains mild bondage and some violence making this a recommended over 18 novel.

I kind of enjoyed this series. Thought it was pretty cool how the author DID NOT attach a silver spoon to the rich boys. Nice to see that they too had a certain edge to their own lives! Nice, yet different spin to the lives of the wealthy.

I love a good mystery and romance story. His Flower Queen started excitedly but fizzled and fell short.

It was great read. At times I wanted to shake Nina and Gabe for the silly games they played with each other. This book should be added to your must read list.
