His Holiday Bride (Kimani Romance Series #61) by Elaine Overton

Trouble was her middle name—

Of the four Lockharts, Amber was the wild child, a part-time student and full-time groupie who gave her older sisters sleepless nights. But even Amber was surprised when her pre-Christmas getaway turned nasty, causing her to flee from danger—right into the six-pack abs of Paul Gutierrez.

His was danger—Going home was not an option when Amber became the target of a man desperate to keep a secret. So Paul's
L.A. home became her safe house, his strong arms her armor. After long nights with her macho protector, Amber was in danger, all right—from a hot, sexy Latin lover!

Ok I like this story like everybody else. I just felt like the author should have made Amber a little more mature than 21 I know she is the wild child but I felt she needed more time to develop in her life 21 your still learning about yourself but to become and instant mom and married, I would even have like to see her 24 maybe even 23 also the author never go on to disclose Paul's age that also bothered me being she is 21. I never review a book and break down characters like this because at the end of the day it's just fiction I also didn't understand the title. The other thing that bothered me I think sometimes the author try to prolong the story at certain times in the book basically certain things were not needed. All in all I still enjoyed it I know it seems like I didn't but the good out way the bad. And as for Dashuan's character in the book 2 words "UNDERCOVER Freak" surprised nope did make the book insteresting.

Ive only been reading the kimani romance series novels for about a month and im hooked and anxious for more. I read this particular novel in just one night and let's just say it left me on cloud nine. Paul was the epitome of a 'perfect man' and amber being the innocent yet stubborn girl reminded me a lot of myself so it almost felt as if i was the one in the story and that made it even better. I loved it!!

'His Holiday Bride' is the third installment in the Lockhart Sister Series and only the second novel I've read by Ms. Elaine Overton. She takes us on an intense romp through Los Angeles where Amber must literally fight and plead for her life. Paul and Amber's story is definitely what one would call a 'whirlwind romance'. I enjoyed watching Amber fight her true feelings for Paul to the very end. The instant attraction they felt towards each other was very sensuous. Paul was an AMAZING man, definitely what one might call an Alpha-male. Once, Paul realized that he could open his heart again, to another woman, to Amber, he wanted to jump the broom right away, NO HALF-STEPPIN', he wanted TOTAL commitment from Amber or NOTHING. He was definitely a man who knew what or should I say WHO he wanted. Amber was beautiful and self-assured on the outside, but inside she definitely had low self-esteem and was lacking in confidence, but when she was with Paul, he made her feel good about herself and he definitely challenged her, letting her know that she was more than just a pretty face. The passion between Amber and Paul was not as Sizzlin' as in Brenda Jackson's 'In Bed With Her Boss', but it definitely had more than a few heated sparks throughout the pages. And as much as Paul tried to fight Amber, she was without a doubt a very tempting seductress, and even though he wanted more from her than a fling, he couldn't resist the animal attraction that was very apparent between the two of them. I also missed the interaction of the sisters in this novel, their was very little contact with the other Lockhart sisters. This novel was definitely about the primary characters, the secondary characters were definitely 'on the back burner', they didn't dominate the story at all. This was a pleasant third installment! Way to go, Ms. Overton! Now, I'm anxiously awaiting the finale to the Lockhart Series.

I've read the other 2 books in this series and I enjoyed this book. After being disappointed with Pearl's story, I was happy that Amber's was better.

I truly enjoyed this book. This book had a lot of chemistry and passion to keep you interested in the characters. To be really honest with you I really didn't want to read Amber story at all. I just really didn't want to read about a 21 year old who was a wild child. I really can't believe the author wanted to write a story about a much younger and older character falling in love with one another. Amber still seemed like a women who acted like she wanted to be married and raise Paul son. She still a wild person even at the end. I felt she was not right for Paul and she to superficial for me and I still felt like she was only with Paul because of money. But I much admit I like the concept of the story.
