"Rougher."
"Oh, Miss Prim likes it rough, does she?"
"Yes." With every twist of his fingers, a hot spark shot straight through her. It was almost unbearable. The desert wind whipped around the car, causing it to shudder. She shuddered right along with it.

Monica Campbell may have a history as a wild child, but she's changed her ways. She's respectable, responsible-and, most importantly, she's sworn off bad boys. That is, until Callum Hughes roars back into her life with his sexy British accent and killer smile.

Cal remembers every steamy moment he shared with Monica, but he barely recognizes the straight-laced woman she's become. Determined to lure Monica into letting go of her inhibitions, Cal will use every trick he knows to fire her blood and tempt her body...reminding her just how good it can feel to be bad-and his.

Austin’s strong second Beauty and the Brit contemporary (after His Every Need) is an enjoyable one-sitting read. Wealthy English car restorer Cal Hughes had a quick but unforgettable snog with feisty Monica Campbell when they met at the wedding of Cal’s cousin Trevor to Monica’s sister, Allie. When Cal returns to Las Vegas to visit Trevor, he can’t believe that Monica is now a buttoned-up professional: wearing boring suits, working a nine-to-five job, and living in an undecorated apartment. Monica’s tired of getting in trouble and determined to leave her wild days behind. She manages a cancer foundation set up in memory of her mother, though she finds Allie’s micromanagement stifling and insulting. Cal’s determined pursuit of her makes her want to reveal the sexy lingerie under her suits—and maybe even break free of her regimented, unexciting life. Austin has a real talent for writing steamy sex between plausible characters who trade clever banter in the aftermath, and readers will adore Cal’s support for Monica’s true self. Agent: Courtney Miller-Callihan, Sanford J. Greenburger Associates. (Nov.)

Five years ago, Monica and Calum shared some scorching hot kisses at an inappropriate moment, but Monica has changed her ways and sworn off bad boys, so when Calum comes back to Las Vegas, she wants nothing to do with him—or so she claims. Monica Campbell used to be a wild child, but she's done with all that. She's settled down into a new life, a great job, and a strong relationship. She's ready to face the world in her business suits and sensible shoes, and if she's not exactly happy, at least she's making a difference working for her mother's foundation and putting her organizational and people skills to good use. So when Calum Hughes motors back into Vegas after five years, she's determined to avoid him like the plague. Except that they keep running into each other, and their chemistry is hotter than the Mojave desert. And he's actually a really nice guy, and there's definitely business left between them. As they fall into an affair, they tell themselves and each other that he's a wandering player and she's a recovering poster girl for bad choices, so they have no future together. Except that Calum is discovering that, after a devastating loss, he may want to actually forge some emotional ties, and beneath her straight-laced exterior, Monica is hiding some pretty sexy underwear. With family issues on both sides and complicated emotions of guilt, resentment, and self-recrimination at play, neither Monica nor Calum has much to lose on the surface but plenty to gain if they can readjust their ideas of who they are to access and fulfill long-buried dreams with each other. Some of the devastating secrets are a little overplayed in the buildup, and Monica's complete suppression of her sensual self seems a little over-the-top given the circumstances. Still, a satisfying read. A fun, sexy romp.

It took me a bit to connect with the hero of this story, and as a result I wasn't as invested in the outcome for this couple at the start. But as the story progressed, I liked them better together. Monica's personal growth in dealing with the death of her mother was well written. There was definitely some sexual chemistry between the couple and lots of steamy scenes for them together. A sweet ending and a happy ever after round out a solid romantic story, for this couple that go through their share of challenges but come out on top. 3 stars.

more reviews (and if you liked this one), PLEASE follow my blog: http://alysenovak.blogspot.com Four years ago, Monica Campbell hit her rock bottom. Since then she has made a conscious effort to lose her bad girl ways. She's determined to be a respectable, responsible adult. She earned her master's degree and now works for the charitable organization that was started in her mother's honor. Also, she now only dates respectable, responsible men. No more bad boys with no jobs for her. The Calum Hughes comes back into her life. Calum and Monica shared a sexy moment at her father's wedding five years ago that he never forgot. So imagine his surprise when he sees her again all buttoned-up and serious. What happened to the confident, sexy woman he met out in the garden for some serious kissing? Just as determined Monica is to stay on the straight-and-narrow, Cal is JUST as determined to get her to shed the horrible pant-suits and letting go... with him. Monica is hesitant to give into Cal. She NEEDS to prove to her older sister that she is responsible and doesn't need to be "looked after". She becomes a more balanced Monica the longer she is with Cal, but is scared to fully open up to him because Cal never is in one place to long. His Kind Of Trouble is a story of self-discovery, growth, and trust (in yourself). That while you made of made mistakes in your past, you can learn and grow from them while still remaining true to who you are. Life is about balance, and this is a story about Monica and Calum finding theirs. Rating: 4 out of 5 **I received an ARC though Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.**

I received this book for free from the Publisher at NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I seem to be reading more of this genre lately, and I'm quite glad I read this one. The story itself is a little different to the usual "catch a billionaire" storyline. What did I like? I liked how Monica was relatable as a character. Yes, she has her flaws. After going through hard times, she makes a lot of mistakes in her life with the whole "naff it" attitude (which I'm sure we can all relate to!) But then she vows to change her life around, another thing I think we can all relate to. The key to Monica's story is trying to find the right balance. I really liked this because it's something I think everyone can relate to. When someone dies, or we experience a trauma, our lives are turned upside down. What do we do? We try the safe options. Monica is no different. I liked how this book was primarily about Monica's journey of self-discovery. I feel it gave the book an edge that makes it different to the other billionaire stories. The sexual scenes were quite intense, they were well-written and couldn't fault them. You feel like you can feel the steam through the pages and the "connection" they both share. What didn't I like? Some points in the book lacked tension. Granted, when it did have tension it was great and I couldn't put the book down... but when it didn't, I could have put the book down and not picked it back up. That's why I've given the book four stars instead of five. I'd recommend this book to anybody who likes a realistic billionaire story, on that could actually be true rather than only in your dreams.

Monica first met Cal at her dad's wedding 5 years before and had acted very inappropriately with him until her sister interrupted them. Monica was now the coordinator for the Cancer Foundation in honor of her mother. It carried on a little bit, but all in all, a good book. I loved the overall story, the plot and characters. I loved how Monica grew and found her real self and overcame her pain. Cal also grew. It was awesome to read. I highly recommend it. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review

His Kind of Trouble, Terri Austin Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews Genre:  romance, I loved Terri's first in this series, His Every Need, and at the end there was a sample of this one and I was keen to read. we see Monica a bit in the first book, now in this one we meet a different version of her, a more subdued, watered down Monica. what’s made her like this? Cal can’t believe how much she’s changed and he doesn’t feel its for the better. He thinks she’s existing now whereas the Monica he met was living life to the full. Cal is a great lead, hot and so full of life. He’s had his own issues though and reminds Monica too much of the bad boys she’s sworn off. Still, he’s hard to resist and eventually she gives in to his persistence, telling herself its just lust, sex and she’ll stop before getting hurt or letting her emotions get involved. Cal’s OK with that, he doesn’t do love, doesn’t do relationships and all the responsibility that comes with him. he likes his life as it is, with his business restoring old classic cars in the UK and his trust fund allowing him to take off anywhere in the world at whim.   So, there they are, both really enjoying the very steamy and sensual sex, and kidding themselves that’s all it is...then life steps in, things go wrong and they’re forced to reassess. Monica in the first book was a happy, no holds barred, full on fun girl and she’s so changed. I wanted to know what happened and when it was revealed I felt so sorry for her. she’s forced herself into the mould of a person she really wasn’t, at the cost of her own happiness. Cal seems very “playboy” lightweight, and its how his family regard him, and yet as we get to know him he’s so much more and I really really wanted him and Monica to work things out. They were perfect for each other. There’s some snippets with Allie and Trevor in, and it was good to catch up with them. Its put me in the mood for a re read of their story. The books really complement each other, and as there’s a third sister, Brynn, I’m hoping she gets a story too – there’s a hint, I think anyway – of who might drop in to her life ;- ) Its a fun read, hot and sexy, easy to follow, with some great characters and some very sensual and erotic sex scenes. the drama part was good too, nicely balanced with all the fun and happy parts. I need that contrast, the “down” part and find it makes the good parts even better. Without the balance for me its not a good read. Stars: Five, a sensual story without going OTT on the sex scenes. Its a great blend of sex and story, with neither dominating and that’s exactly what I need. ARC supplied by Netgalley and publishers  If you enjoyed my review I'd love it if you would please click “Like” and if you didn't I'd love to know why, in case I've inadvertently added a spoiler and need to edit.

An entertaining story with captivating characters and realistic dialogue, what more could you ask for? Emotions run high throughout a myriad of familial disasters and relationship dips and turns. She melds emotions with comedy in a manner that creates a believable story and intriguing escape from reality. The dynamic between the two main characters really made this story for me. His over the top persona combined with her healing created a couple that I won’t soon forget. I found both easy to connect with and to be the type of people who really drew me into their story. The cast that surrounded them was quite entertaining and made the story even more real. Austin has created a story that brings real life to readers in a manner that allows you to experience it and to escape from your own reality for a little while. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Monica had a wild moment or two with Cal, but she’s not that same person anymore. Now she’s responsible and straight-laced. No more bad boys for her. They only get her into trouble and that’s not the way her mother would have wanted her to live her life. Cal’s back in town. He can hardly believe he’s run into Monica again, but she’s changed. She seems buttoned up and cold hearted, but he knows he can find the old, free-spirited Monica. He just has to convince her to loosen up a little bit… His Kind of Trouble had me a breath away from total meltdown! This is one steamy, burn-down-the-house, sexy romance you’d better not even think about putting down. You won’t want to miss a single word; not one tiny little letter. This book is so sexy you’ll want to read it slowly…to drag out every erotic piece of it. If only I could make myself the heroine of this book, no one would ever see the real me again (lol)! The sex is written with expertise and I’d have to call it perfection! The ending made my heart swell, I swear (okay, maybe I just thought it did). Ms. Austin is absolutely, my new favorite author. The Incredible Hulk wouldn’t be able to hold me back from getting to her next book! I love it, love it, love it! 5 Stars!

I discovered Terri Austin with her Rose Strickland Mystery series a couple of years ago. I enjoyed her work so much, that I was happy to follow her into a new genre. In His Every Need, we are introduced to the Campbell sisters of Las Vegas. They had recently lost their mother after a long battle with breast cancer. When their father lost their house to Trevor Blake, British tycoon, Allie went to plead their case. This book centers around the middle daughter, Monica and Calum, cousin to Trevor. Though many of the characters from the first book are back, this story takes place 5 years after the events of that book. So for the most part, you could read this as a stand alone, without missing much. Monica has grown up, settled down and works as the coordinator for the breast cancer foundation named for their mother. She's sworn off bad boys and works hard to make up for her years as a wild child. Calum is in town to visit his mother. He can't help but remember Monica from the last time he was in town and their incredibly hot make out session in the garden at her father's wedding. When he sees Monica again, he decides that he will do whatever it takes to bring back the woman who was so alive that night. The tone of this book was different than the first. In the first, Trevor was definitely had the Alpha vibe going on, where Calum is more the laid back charmer. Allie and Monica are two very different personalities as well, almost complete opposites. I found myself enjoying this one more than the first with the flirtiness between Monica and Calum allowing for some excellent dialogue moments. I gave this book 4 stars. Thanks to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the opportunity to read and review the book.
