Can two hearts entwined by hardship move on to form a healthy bond? From the author of His to Love and His to Protect, this tender, bittersweet romance brings together a man who loses everything—and a woman with everything to give.

Chelsea Dwyer arrives home from her job at the middle-school library in Latham Hills, Michigan, expecting another quiet evening—until she hears the screams for help through her living room window. As the first witness to a terrible accident involving two local students, Chelsea doesn’t anticipate how her own life will be irrevocably changed by the father of one of the boys. In the wake of tragedy, she’s the only one who seems to understand his grief. Chelsea’s a survivor, too—and she knows that there are brighter days ahead.

As a single father, Aidan Deveraux worked his entire life to provide a stable home for his son, Derrick. Without him, Aidan feels the deepest despair imaginable. The one thing that keeps him going is his connection with the woman who tried to save his son. Hard as he tries, Aidan just can’t stay away. Chelsea’s warm embrace is the comforting solace he desperately craves—and it doesn’t hurt that Aidan had noticed the beautiful librarian and wanted to ask her out for years. Now that she’s in his life, he doesn’t ever want to let go.

About the Author

Stacey Lynn was raised in the Midwest. Over the long, frigid winters, she would read every book she could get her hands on, from John Grisham and Danielle Steel to Ann M. Martin and C. S. Lewis. She began writing poems and short stories long before she reached high school, and now, as a wife and mother to four children, she finds solace from the craziness of her life by creating steamy, sexy stories. After publishing her first book, what began as a hobby has now turned into an unending passion.

“There’s a bathroom, first door on the left, if you want to get cleaned up.”

I gestured in that direction, trying hard not to think about how completely odd it was that Aidan was in my house.
He looked down at his dirty hands. “Thanks. I’ll be just a minute.”

“No hurry.”

Once he disappeared down the hall and I heard the door close behind him, my feet quickly moved to my own master bath.

As soon as I stepped inside, I gasped in horror.

My long blond hair was matted and ratty where it had escaped my ponytail. I had a thick smudge of dirt across my forehead and down my left cheek.

Sweat had made my old baby-blue crewneck shirt cling to my skin and I had sweat stains under my armpits.

“Crap,” I muttered. “I look like shit.”

I shouldn’t have cared. We were doing yard work and now we were grilling dinner. I definitely shouldn’t have been thinking about looking good for Aidan. I had no idea why he had shown up at my house, but it definitely wasn’t to hook up with the school librarian.

Yet I couldn’t resist making an effort.

Quickly, I scrubbed my face, figuring makeup free was better than the caked-on-dirt look. With wet hands, I redid my ponytail and used a couple of pins to pull my bangs off my face.

Once I’d gotten as much dirt off my hands and from under my nails as I was going to without scrubbing them for hours, I called it good enough.

On my way out of the bathroom, I made a quick detour to my closet, whipped off my stinky bra and top, and threw on something equally boring, but at least it was clean.

When I hit the kitchen, my breath coming in oddly quick pants, Aidan was already there.

He was standing by the kitchen island, his hips resting against the granite countertop, and he had a glass of water in his hand.

“Sorry,” I said, still slightly breathless. I couldn’t help it. The sight of him in my kitchen had my lower stomach warming and feeling tingly. It was an insane, but not uncommon, reaction to him. “I needed to get cleaned up, too.”

His eyes dragged down my body. I felt that look hit everywhere and tried to ignore the way my stomach flipped. It quickly diminished when I caught a quick smirk on his lips before he turned away from me.

“No problem.”

I looked down and realized I had put on my sexiest, hot-pink lace bra under a thin white T-shirt. You could see everything—including my nipples, which were pushing through the lace.

Oh my gosh. Embarrassment reddened my cheeks. There was nothing I could do besides make an utter fool out of myself by running back to my room and hiding in my closet until he left.

“Sorry,” I started to babble, wanting to explain myself, but stopped. Explaining would make me seem more foolish, so I rolled my shoulders and pretended everything was fine. “Steaks are in the fridge.”

I shuffled past him to get them.

After Cory left, my kitchen had always felt too large for a single woman to have to herself. With Aidan nearby, not moving as I slid past him, it suddenly felt stifling and small.

My chest brushed against his, and for just a moment, I froze, liking the feel of his skin against mine.

Stupid. I inwardly rolled my eyes and opened the fridge.

Once I had the steak in my hands, I slid the plate onto the counter, ignoring that I swore I could feel Aidan’s eyes on my butt as I bent over.

“Here you go. The grill’s out back.”

He nodded. “Thanks.” He took the plate from me and started walking toward the back door.

As soon as the door clicked shut, I ran back to my closet, exchanged my white shirt for a black one, and was back in the kitchen, preparing a salad and shucking corn to throw onto the grill before Aidan could come back inside.

I piled everything onto a serving platter with a couple of beers, more water in case he didn’t feel like alcohol, and place settings for two, and made my way to the backyard.

Conversation was sparse during dinner. I didn’t understand why he’d come to my house, why he’d decided to help me, and why he stayed for dinner, but for me, even with the thick sadness covering us like my shade umbrella, I was happy to not be alone.

Sure, I spent time with my girlfriends, but besides our monthly dinners at Fireside Grill where we drank too many margaritas and ate our weight in nachos, my friends were all getting married or enjoying their married lives. They had things to do, and it was nice to have company for dinner for once.

I allowed Aidan space while we ate, commenting on the delicious steak he cooked.

It was fantastic, and done perfectly. I loved eating grilled food, but in my mind the grill was a “man’s domain.” Not that I couldn’t do it, but my food always ended up overcooked.

I figured the Y chromosome filled men with magical grilling powers.

“Something funny?”

His deep, raspy voice made my head snap up, my mouth freezing open with my fork and the last bite of steak at the tip of my tongue.

I must have been smiling.

When I glanced at Aidan, his head was tilted slightly to the side, and his hand was wrapped around a bottle of beer.

“Nothing.” I shook my head. “Just thinking about something.”

He looked out at my backyard.

The part of me that didn’t like to be lazy meant I’d spent time adding massive gardens and landscaping to the backyard since Cory moved out. I had bawled for hours while planting shrubs and flowers, moving rocks and mulch. The work and the creativity had become a type of therapy for me, allowing me to get my anger and frustration and sadness out in a way that also created something new and beautiful.

“Thanks for letting me stop by tonight.”

I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't like this book. The characters are rich and complex. The story focuses on love's ability to help rebuild your life even after experiencing great loss and tragedy.

4.5 Stars This book picks up right where book 2 His to Protect finished and omg what a way to start a book, I was not prepared for that at all.... This is an emotional read about two people trying to get through each day after tragedy struck them both. Chelsea is trying to except her marriage breakdown and her infertility and Aiden is trying to get through each day after losing his only son is a tragic accident. Aiden has always had feelings for Chelsea but the timing was never right and now it looks like the timing will never be right. She was there at the accident and she is there for Shane a school friend of Derrick's who was with him at the time of the accident. Aiden can't bring himself to talk to Shane and that sends this grieving boy in a downward spiral. Can Chelsea help them both come to terms with the loss and guilt they are both feeling. This is a heart wrenching story but it's beautifully written, it's a story about grief, love, loss and forgiveness. I cried and I got angry along with the characters in this book. I'm looking forward to book 4 in this series

Have you ever read a book that both broke your heart and made you fall in love with the main characters? His to Cherish was this book for me. It isn't an easy read because it involves the death of a young man, who died in a tragic skateboarding accident. Chelsea watches Derrick's death and becomes a lifeline to his father Aiden. She does her best to support him as he grieves. Soon their relationship turns romantic, but will their feelings last as Aiden continues to mourn his loss? This is one of the few books that moved me to tears and had a very well written story. I haven't read any of the book in this series, but I plan on looking these books up. This is an outstanding romance that I would encourage everyone to read! I was given a free copy for an honest review.

This story was a compelling read even though it was a hard read. It starts with the death of Aidan's son. The path from grieving to love is a lot of hard work and takes time. Though he had feelings for Chelsea before things changed forever, he waited for the right moment. My heart went out to him as he tried to figure life out as a "dad whose son died". He made mistakes, making him human, but he knew where he should be. Chelsea had her own problems, but put all aside to comfort Aidan. The strength it took to do this was incredible and had me cheering for her. Tears kept coming and then the smiles. I enjoyed this book immensely and highly recommend it. I received a copy of this book through Netgalley and this is my unsolicited review.

Deeply Emotional 4.5 stars! Grab your box of tissues, you’ll need it. I don’t think I stopped tearing up while reading this book. His To Cherish starts where His To Protect ends, and describes the event of Derrick’s accident. My heart broke for Aidan Devereaux. Aidan losing Derrick is so devastating and the grief is crushing. At a time when a relationship is hard to forge in light of a tragic event, Aidan and Chelsea find comfort in their friendship. They know the attraction between them is strong but they don’t act on it while overwhelming emotions make it hard to function normally. Chelsea can only offer friendship. She’s still feeling the affects of her divorce, and has insecurities from her marriage. Both Chelsea and Aidan know heartache, and slowly seek each other for mutual comfort. I love how Ms Lynn lets the relationship slowly blossom, but also bring on the steaminess. This story will break your heart, but towards the end, you’ll find that breath of air that will lighten your heart, the hope for a new start. I loved Chelsea and Aidan’s story. I thought Aidan the perfect loving man for Chelsea, showing her how beautiful a person she is inside and out. His To Cherish is a sexy, sweet romance that is deeply emotional and sure to satisfy fans of romance. It’s been a great series so far and I’m looking forward to David and Camden’s story next. I received an ARC copy from Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley and voluntarily reviewed this book.

This is the first book I have read by this author and it won’t be my last. I didn’t have the pleasure of reading the first two books in this series. I definitely want to go back and read them and I look forward to reading the next book in this series. This book is a romance book, but it deals a lot with loss and grief and the healing that happens when you let someone in to help you heal. I can’t imagine the pain that Aiden goes through in the loss of son. Aiden is a single father as Derricks mom just up and left when he was a baby. Aiden was just a teenager when Derrick was born. Derrick wanted Aiden to ask Chelsea out after Aiden met her at his son’s open house, but he didn’t want to approach her while Derrick was still a student there. When Derrick died, Aiden was just existing. Chelsea tried to reach out to him and he used her to help him forget, even for a little while, and after their brief affair he was mean about it. There is a lot of push and pull in this book and it takes you on quite an emotional journey. I cried a few times. If you like an emotional read with a tender love story, then this is the book for you.

OMG! Heartbreaking, Healing, Hopeful, and a sweet Happily Ever After... I am starting this review with a fair warning. This book is extremely emotional starting at page one. I don't know how many times I cried through this story. Deep and touching, it is genuine and so real. The good news is, the further you get into the book you could see the healing begin. You could watch the potential feelings start to grow. And then you could see there was hope for the future. This is the first book I have read by this author but most definitely not the last. I was impressed by the depth of emotion and the gift of writing an amazing story that she brings to the readers. I started this review with the words heartbreaking, healing, hopeful, and a sweet happily ever after and that is exactly what the story offers. But be prepared to be on emotional roller coaster. It is worth it however and this is one book you can't put down. This author delivers the goods a story that is raw and fresh but oh, so worth it! * Copy received for review purpose

Heartbreak, sadness, darkness, loneliness, and desperation to just forget. That is all I felt when I read this book from beginning to almost the end. I was enamored with this book and really spent several hours lost in this world. Stacey did a beautiful job drawing out all the emotions you could feel in this book. I cried too much, and laughed as well. I smiled at the heart warming story behind it all. Losing a person who was the most important in your world, means a piece of you die with them. We have all lost someone special at one time or another. I think that is why it is so easy to relate to this story. I knew the moment we meet Chelsea and Aidan, I was in for a full emotional roller coaster ride. My heart bled for Aidan since the Prologue of the story. Chelsea has a beautiful soul. She experiences the tragic event that unfolds and is the rock that Aidan needs. They have each other to try to forget even for a small moment what has happened around them. Aidan has to be the most kind hearted, sweetest man I have gotten to meet through the book. A little piece of my heart stayed with him at the end. Yes that is how emotionally invested I was. This story will stay with you long after you read that last chapter. Chelsea, despite of all that she has lost and has been through is the strongest of the two at times emotionally. But for how long? Will she finally break too? To truly understand what I mean, no spoilers, you have to get this book! I highly recommend this to everyone. Wow! Just Wow...If I could, I would have rated this book 10 stars all the way. I can not wait to explore what other journey's that Stacey may have stored for us with her upcoming books. I am in awe! I have a scheduled date for a Promo Blitz, then for my review. I am excited to share this review on my blog page!!!

His to cherish it one great heartbreaking story. The plot, characters everything is well combined in a beautiful story about loss. Chelsea and Aidian have some chemistry between for years but the great tragedy that happens connects them finally. The story is soo good, rough but sweet at the same time, sad heartbreaking but at the same time inspiring. The story about two broken souls who together become stronger. I loved both of them and it is interesting to read how their relationship develops. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

Such an emotional read. Aidan and Chelsea’s relationship begins in the pain and loss of Aidan’s son. Chelsea understands that pain and is helping Aidan through it. I really liked the characters as well as the story. A beautiful read.

Chelsea had been crushing on Aidan for a couple of years but she felt until his son Derrick was out of the middle school she worked as a librarian at Chelsea wouldn’t try to do anything about it. Aidan and Chelsea were somewhere between acquaintances and friends. Chelsea had met Aidan a couple years ago when he had enrolled Derrick in Lanham Hills M S. Chelsea had gotten to know Aidan a little better when he and his friends became part of her friends circle. Derrick had a skateboard accident by Chelsea’s house and she did all she could and even went to the hospital with Derrick’s blood on her but fourteen year old Derrick did not make it through surgery. Derrick’s mom had left when Derrick was two and showed up every now and then with gifts but always late for his birthday and she had no real relationship with her son. Chelsea had never been able to turn away anyone or thing that was hurting and Chelsea stayed with Aidan awhile after everyone had left after the funeral. Chelsea also found out when she was married that she would find it very difficult to get pregnant if she ever did and that shattered her marriage to her H S sweetheart and he cheated and got another girl pregnant so Chelsea knew lose of a different kind as all she ever wanted to do was be a mom. This was a great story although sad a lot made me choke up several times. It showed the many sides of grief from an ill timed death of a well liked teenage boy. But not just from Aidan’s point of view but men who had helped Aidan raise Derrick when they were all in college and a teenage best friend who completely blamed himself for his best friend’s death to a librarian who had a big heart and the accident was close to her home and she also knew both the father and son. This was gritty at times and so filled with pain and a loss no parent should have to face. There were so many facets of emotion from the different characters in this story felt so real like you were there. This had a great plot and all through the grief, anger and pain bloomed a romance filled with passion. I loved Chelsea in this story even though at times she was so busy worrying and taking care of others she forgot to take care of herself. This had great and awesome characters and i loved the ins and outs of this story. I highly recommend.

Wow!!! I don't even know where to start. I don't typically read stories that make me cry, but I'm sooooo glad I did! It was one of the most heart-wrenching, compelling novels I've read. I would cry, laugh, cry, etc. This is a wonderful addition to the Fireside series. Chelsea witnesses a horrific accident that claims the life of a teen. Chelsea races to the scene of the accident after hearing screams outside her door, but it appears she's too late. As she waits in the hospital, Aidan arrives. The doctors come out to inform Aidan that his son didn't make it... Prior to the accident, Chelsea and Aidan were acquaintances through shared friends. Through the funeral, grieving process, and mending Aidan repeatedly turns to Chelsea for support. Derrick's mom abandoned him at two years old, leaving Aidan a single dad. While in college, Aidan had help from his friends with raising Derrick. While they are hurting too, Aidan turns to Chelsea because she doesn't ask anything of Aidan. Chelsea knows she's letting Aidan use her, but can't seem to stop as she's falling for him. While Aidan has secretly wanted to ask Chelsea out for two years, he's always put it off--always assuming he'd have plenty of time. As Aidan starts to work through his grief, he realizes he's been using Chelsea. He decides to take some of the advice he always gave his son. He asks Chelsea out on a date and begins to "court" her. Chelsea has numerous insecurities and doesn't see herself as a person Aidan would be interested in as more than a friend. Chelsea is not able to have children. Her ex used that as an excuse to cheat on and eventually divorce her because she was "half a woman". Aidan helps Chelsea work through her insecurities while courting her. If I could give this novel more than 5 stars, I would. Fair warning though, if you don't want to read a beautiful story that will make you cry repeatedly....don't read it! I think it was worth the tears and Kleenex!!!! I easily related to this story because I'm a single mom to a 15yr old boy. I do NOT know if I could go on if I lost my son. The story makes you appreciate life and all the blessings bestowed on you! It reminds you to not take anything for granted and to live every day as if it were your last. Soooo good! I received a gifted copy of this novel and all opinions stated are my own.

His to Cherish is a wonderful addition to the Fireside series! This story packs a powerful punch......sighs, tears, smiles and even laughter are all part of reading this book. It was, as always, fun to revisit the characters from previous books, while watching the story of Chelsea and Aiden's sorrow, healing and love unfold. A must read book! I chose to review this ARC.

We met Aiden and Derrick in the previous Fireside books, Aiden is friends with Declan and the guys. Single father raising his son, running a construction business and doing a great job at both. Not much time for women. He meets Chelsea when he comes to register Derrick at school (2 years prior) and is interested, although keeps his distance because of her being the Librarian at the school Derrick attends. It's obvious they both feel some sort of spark when they're together with the group at the Fireside. The rest of the gang sees it. Neither act on it. Chelsea is divorced from a jerk of a husband because she wasn't able to have children which presents very heavy emotions and self esteem issues for her. Her only wish in life was to be a Mom, and she can't have that. She and said husband divorce and within several months he remarries a woman who is pregnant, so obviously he cheated on Chelsea as well. She and her college friends along with Trina and Blue meet monthly at the Fireside for girls night. Declan's famous nachos and pitchers of Margueritas. This story opens with the neighbors son Shane screaming and Chelsea running outside after an accident has Derrick laying in the street. The boys were skateboarding. Derrick falls. Chelsea cradles him while waiting for fire rescue. At the hospital everyone is there, Aiden was the last in because he was out on a job. Derrick has been in surgery and Aiden comes in right at the moment the Dr comes out the deliver the news. "I'm sorry, we did everything we could. Your son did not survive." We forward to the funeral, the people are starting to leave, friends linger a little. Chelsea walks outside and finds Aiden sitting there alone. Few words are exchanged. Chelsea stays to clean up. Aiden lives up the road from Chelsea. In this story we also meet Shane, Derricks best friend and a student at the school. What Shane witnessed was horrific. He comes to the library now to eat his lunch, avoids his friends and generally falls into a spiral. Chelsea is there for him. Chelsea is also there for Aiden who starts showing up because he doesn't want to be alone. They spend time together. Time together eventually leads to them sleeping together, something that probably would have happened in their relationship under a normal circumstance had Aiden pursued her the way Derrick encouraged him too. Aiden avoids almost everyone, spending most of the time with Chelsea. He doesn't want to be alone in his house and then there is the upcoming birthday of Derrick. One night Chelsea spends the night at Derricks and his ex shows up. She abandoned them when Derrick was 2, Aiden was in college and the guys took turns taking care of Derrick to help out, so Derrick really belonged to all of them. His ex was hit or miss... she shows up not knowing Derrick has died several months earlier with very late birthday gifts and demands to see him. Aiden doesn't want to tell her, but has to when Chelsea makes her way down the stairs, Aiden told her to stay upstairs. She didn't. When asked who "she" is, Aiden responds "she's nobody." Chelsea is knocked on her tail with that one, having been nobody her whole life. She gets her things and leaves... walks out while his ex and he are still talking, she ignores him and beelines home. She is devastated and but she is determined not to be yet another doormat for a man to wipe his feet on. She went through that once and won't do it again. The story goes on, Aiden wants a do over...

I have enjoyed the Fireside series, but this story, though among my favorite so far, hit hard. Having experienced the loss of a child, my son who was just a few years older than Derrick, Aiden's son, this story brought to the surface many neatly buried feeling that any parent, who has lost a child, tries to keep at bay. I found times when I needed to take a break from the heaviness of Aiden's grief; Ms Lynn's writing superbly brought to light the depth of his pain over his loss. As well, Shawn's devastation at what he felt he was to be blamed for, broke my heart over and over again...his pain literally jumped off the page and pierced my heart. The loss portion of the story could easily be summed up with, "...there was more to life than loss. There was more to life than pain. There could be joy even in the mourning." Thinking back over my loss, I would have to agree. Ms Lynn perfectly captured the raw emotions that rage following the death of a child, and the slow gut wrenching process of mourning and recovery. Amongst all of the pain and sadness was a wonderfully emerging love story that simply took my breath away. Aidan and Chelsea's story was strong, sexy as all get out and joy all wrapped together. I'm so happy that I was able to experience their story within the words of the book. This author has a way of eliciting a visceral reaction through her characters and their emotions. I anxiously await the next installment of the Fireside series. This book was provided by the Publisher and Netgalley, I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

I cannot imagine losing a child and the grief and angst throughout this book made it a hard read for me, Chelsea and Aidan's story is one of loss, and love found. Great book, but hauntingly something you will remember for a long time.

This bittersweet romance was beautifully written. I thought Stacey Lynn did an amazing job writing Aiden's story. A story about a single dad, struggling with the loss of his son, and finding love along the way. The author was able to convey so many emotions through her words, made his loss feel real. I loved that she created such strong, relatable characters. Aiden couldn't have been more perfect. Everything about him was manly. A total mans, man. He was utterly handsome. But he was also rugged and guarded, which I loved about him. And Chelsea, I adored her. She was sweet, beautiful, and a great friend to Aiden, when he needed her most. What I really admired most about her character, was that she also knew her worth. While wanting to help Aiden through the loss of his son, falling for him the in process, she stayed true to what she deserved. Basically she fell in love and took her brain with her. I was mostly happy that the author didn't drag out Aiden & Chelsea's story. The heartache, the struggle, the love making, everything felt developed between the two. His To Cherish was my book by Stacey Lynn and I can 't wait to read more by her.

I LOVED this book so much it is hard to put into words. This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster (or ferris wheel) and all the feels just keep coming. Right from the beginning this book started as a survivors guide to unimaginable loss and the healing was slow to start but Chelsea never gave up on Aidan. These two were made for each other! This entire series is spectacular and I recommend them all and really looking forward to seeing what happens next. **Received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley**

Chelsea and Aidan start off this book coping with the devastating loss of Aidan's son, Derrick. Aidan needs help coming to terms with his loss and Chelsea is there for him in any way that he needs. She doesn't push him and tries to give him the support he is looking for. There were several times where I thought Aidan took advantage of Chelsea and where she let him use her as a sort of doormat. She did want more with him but didn't want to push for it. Aidan did blunder a few times in such a way that it was hard for me to understand how he could hurt her knowing what he ex-husband did to her. Chelsea did find the strength to forgive and realize that Aidan needed to come first and her grief and feelings needed to be second at times. I did like how Aidan came to an epiphany and realized that he needed a re-do with Chelsea in order to make their relationship right. I liked how he started to open up to her about Derrick and his loss, instead of holding it in. Chelsea was kind of whiny at times and it did get on my nerves a little bit. This book is an emotional wrecking ball at times and I was kind of curious how Chelsea, who claimed to be involved with the kids from her school, didn't reach out more to help Shane deal with the loss of his best friend. Being quietly supportive didn't really work out too well at times. Did like the ending and can't wait to see what happens between David and Camden. I received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

I have read almost all of Stacey Lynn's books and this one I believe is her best work yet! I absolutely loved the plot and the characters created. The chemistry was off the charts! This book will give you all of the feels. I was an emotional wreck even before I finished the prologue. So have your Kleenex ready because you are going to need them. I don't want to say to much because I don't want to give anything away. All I can say is this is a MUST read. I could not put it down! Even though this can be read as a standalone I highly recommend you start with the first book in the series because other characters from the other books play a part in this book as well. They all great reads and so worth it

I was wrecked after reading this book. This story is not just about a man and a woman. No, it is about a man, his son, his son's best friend, the father's circle of friends and the woman who helps them heal. Aidan and Shane are dealing with an unimaginable pain and although their level of pain may be different, both are trying to deal with it in some similar ways, including turning to Chealsea for comfort and healing. When the author writes " Shane did not want to be in a place that reminds him of his loss". This sentence slayed me. And then to see Aidan crumbling and thinking of his life with Derrick and their fights....the emotion of it just blew me away, it was so so raw. The author also did a phenomenal job when writing these scenes and the pain was gut wrenching. I often put a book aside and let it "sit" for a while before writing a review and when I went back to it some of those scenes and dialogue had me trying so hard to swallow the lump in my throat. Having written all this, I must also say that this story does have light, romance, chemistry and wonderfully sexy scenes. It has it all! Including a man who wants to give the woman in his life the world and asks only that he live in it! Aidan can live in my mine any time and I can't wait to spend more time in the Fireside world.

What an emotional book! WOW! This is one that will leave you wrecked. The absolute devastation that we feel for Aidan as he loses his son and tries to move on with his life left me with a lump in my throat through most of this book. Chelsea has felt her own loss. She is a kindred spirit with Aidan as far as loss goes and that draws him to her. This story of absolute agony and loss and coming back from it will have you crying through the pages. It is well written and the characters are people you can relate to. This was such a tight group of friends and what the group help Aidan through is unthinkable. Chelsea was there for Aidan in a way that no one else could be and in what was the biggest tragedy of his life, Aidan found light at the end of the tunnel. His son had always loved Chelsea (Ms. Dwyer to him) and Aidan had felt a connection to her, too, he wasn't putting off his feelings anymore and was practicing what he had always preached to his son about going after what you want. I loved this emotional story. I fell in love with Aidan and Chelsea and was wrecked right along with them. Great read!

When I think Ms Lynn can’t outdo her extraordinary writing, she proves me wrong. Each of the stories in the Fireside series has been excellent, and this third one is no exception. The story is not for the faint of heart. It will pull you in from the beginning and you will feel the sorrow , heartaches ,heart wrenching moments as well as the bittersweet ones. You will cry and you will want to give Aidan a hug and thank Chelsea for caring for him. The emotional rollercoaster will have you so involved in the story, that you feel you know these characters. The lose of a child and the lose due to infertility are tremendous and not easy to overcome ever , but we must learn to at least accept them order to first survive and then to open yourselves to life. Aidan and Chelsea are wonderful characters and in them Ms Lynn reminds us that life is messy, not everything is black and white, right or wrong and happy go lucky. But if we can learn from our loses, and find someone that really gets us ,supports us, and love us as we are , then we should cherish them. A line in the story says is all. “ …everything seems so dark and ugly in your head right now….the one thing I know is that there is good in your lie, and you need to grab on to it and hold it tight.” How true. I have loved this series and hope Ms Lynn has more thought provoking and real life stories for us from the people at the Fireside Grill. This book was gifted to my by Netgalley.
