About the Author

Stacey Lynn was raised in the Midwest. Over the long, frigid winters, she would read every book she could get her hands on, from John Grisham and Danielle Steel to Ann M. Martin and C. S. Lewis. She began writing poems and short stories long before she reached high school, and now, as a wife and mother to four children, she finds solace from the craziness of her life by creating steamy, sexy stories. After publishing her first book, what began as a hobby has now turned into an unending passion.

Read an Excerpt

My shoulders stiffened and my hands rolled into fists. The senior agent to the Underground Crime Protection Unit was speaking to me, but I couldn’t pull my eyes off the photos he’d just carelessly tossed on the desk between us. His words rolled like thunder through my ears and my head began to pound.

Gabriella Bluejay Galecki.

Long shiny black hair hung past breasts that were larger than I remembered. She had curves that would make men crave running their hands down them, taking in every dip on her frame. Hips that would make a man want to dig his fingers and thumbs into them while he took her from behind. Light blue eyes that were as mesmerizing as I remembered, except they looked much emptier.

Time had been good to her.

She looked more stunning now than she did the last time I saw her, sitting on my bed in my teenage bedroom, telling me she’d love me forever. Telling me that the distance between the colleges we were going to be attending, me at Central U in Michigan, her at some private ritzy college in Detroit, wouldn’t matter. Her family wouldn’t matter. We’d be one of the lucky couples from high school that lasted. One of the few couples that stood the test of time and college frat parties.

Then the next day, she disappeared.

I hadn’t seen a photo of her since I quit carrying her senior picture in my wallet halfway through my sophomore year of college, when I finally realized she wasn’t coming back. For years, I had tried not to think of her as anything more than a passing memory. A blank space in the trenches of my mind, accessed only when I would wonder what happened to her whenever her father’s name and her family came up during conversations and investigations regarding racketeering and illegal gambling.

All it took was one glimpse of her on a three-by-five-inch photo and I remembered everything about her.

Everything about the way I felt about her.

Right then, Agent Jackson was asking the impossible.

“Agent Blackwell. Are you listening to me?”

I nodded, spoke some sort of affirmative, all with my eyes glued to Blue’s bright red full lips.

Beautiful. Physically, she was perfect. It was her eyes and the sad, slightly downturned tilt to her lips that made my brows pull together.

“You’re making a quick stop in Denver and then headed home, Blackwell.”

I flexed my fingers, straightening them, and slid them into the pockets of my black suit pants. Looking up at my supervisor, a man I respected for the last four years, ever since I joined the FBI, I shook my head once. No way could I do this. “I’m not sure I’m the man for this job.”

It was as honest as I could be. Just by looking at Blue’s photos, I knew there was no way I could maintain a professional distance while doing my job. A job I loved.

And this mission was too close to my heart.

It meant using my ex-girlfriend, the only woman I’d told I loved and meant it. That Agent Jackson thought I could do this and not cross inappropriate boundaries showed he had more faith in me than I did.

“You’re the only who can do this job,” he stated, his expression firm.

I ran my tongue along the front of my teeth, sucking in my anger and frustration. When my professional mask was in place, I arched a brow.

“I’m too close.”

“No.” He shook his head and tossed me a file. I already knew what was in it. “You’re the only one of us who can get close enough.” The FBI knew of my connection with Gabriella Galecki. That knowledge was found during background checks they did on all candidates wishing to enroll in the academy. I just never thought that connection would be used against me in this way. My lips twisted as he continued speaking. “As you already know, the Detroit family has been able to remain successful and stable because they’re small and they keep their alliances within the family. Gabriella Galecki is coming home, and the only reason we can assume she’s making her presence known after a decade-long disappearance is because her family needs her. We need to know why, and you’re the person who can figure that out.”

“With all due respect, sir—”

“With all due respect, Agent Blackwell, I am your superior and the Bureau needs you for this. You’ll do as you’re told and get us the information we need so we can tighten our investigation and finally take down the Galecki family.”

“Why her?” I asked, my voice suddenly parched. “Why now?”

He tapped the file sitting on the desk. “That’s what we need you to figure out. Inside you’ll find all the information regarding the investigation we’ve been doing on the Galeckis, but something is still missing. We’ve been hearing chatter about their enemies in Boston and Chicago moving in on their territory. We need to know why they’re suddenly seen as weak. We need to know why Gabriella is being brought home in the midst of all this, and what role, if any, she plays in her family’s business. It could be nothing. It could be everything. That’s what you need to figure out.”

A weight pressed against my chest. Gabriella had never known anything of substance regarding her family. There’s no way she would now, not if she was the same. But people could change a lot in ten years. I sure as hell had. I opened my mouth to speak but Agent Jackson cut me off.

“You’ll do this, Blackwell. We have no other option to get close to the family right now.”

Heck. I had lost and I knew it.

I didn’t have a choice. Being an FBI Agent, one frequently pulled into undercover investigations, had been a goal of mine since I joined the Bureau. When a knee injury in the final football game of my senior year effectively ended any dreams of making the NFL, dreams I’d had since I could walk, I chose the one profession where I could do the most good. I could join an organization that worked at taking down crime families like the one responsible for the death of my dad.

The familiar anger started simmering in my veins. My dad had been a good man, a man committed to his job and his family, until a member of the Galecki organization took him out.

I would never forget the officers who showed up at our doorstep after midnight on a Tuesday. My mom screamed and wailed—sounds I remembered vividly, because they sounded nothing like those a human should ever make. She crumpled to the floor in despair, and stayed there long after my father’s co-workers and brothers in the Detroit Police Department left our house after hours of trying to console us.

“What’s my cover?” I finally asked, sliding the files off Agent Jackson’s desk and into my hands.

I would look at them later in my apartment when I had a glass of scotch close to me. Or the bottle. I had a feeling I was going to need it. I hadn’t been home to Detroit since college graduation. There was only one person who could have dragged me back there. Agent Jackson wanted me to do the impossible—put myself face-to-face with her, insinuate myself into her life . . .

And then betray her in the worst way possible.

Tyson thought he found the forever kind of love when he was eighteen with Gabriella/Blue. But Blue left Tyson when she turned eighteen herself. Tyson tries looking for her but then gives up and goes on with his life. Tyson has a football career. Blue was actually a Mafia princess Then Tyson gets hurt and changes careers and goes into the FBI. Blue’s father ordered a hit on Tyson’s father who was a cop and he was killed. It had been ten years since Tyson has seen Blue but then she returns home to be with her dying mother. Blue had forgotten what it was like to be a Mafia princess. Her father is planning on stepping down and has plans for Blue. But blue has no interest in her father’s business. Tyson is ordered to get close to Blue again and find out what was up with her father. Tyson tried to get out of the mission but couldn’t Blue was happy to see Tyson again but she was also wary. Feelings started to return. I really like this story. It had a very good plot and was well written. I like how Tyson never had forgot Blue and still had feelings for her all these years later. What a mix an FBI agent and a Mafia princess but it dod work. I felt bad Tyson has to get close to Blue for other reasons then he still cared for her. I love the characters especially Tyson and Blue. I liked all the ups and downs of this story . I would have liked to hear more of Tyson’s POV so we could tell what was actually going on in his head. But besides that I really enjoyed this story and I recommend.

I was given a gifted copy by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Gabriella is the daughter of a powerful mafia boss who fell in love with the son of a police officer. Her father used this to separate them. Tyson is now an FBI agent and he is investigating Gabriella’s father. Gabriella needs to decide which one she can trust, her father or Tyson. I did enjoy the book a lot. The story flows nicely, and it is well-written. The author is good playing with the feelings of the characters: love, passion, deception, betrayal, lies trust, sadness, grieve. There is a lot of tension too, which is maintained until the very end of the book. However, I have to say that I would have liked to read more about the investigation and I think it would have been perfect if the story had been written from alternating points of view. That is the reason why I only give the book four stars.

4 out of 5 stars Tyson & Gabriella (Blue) were a true testament to 2nd chance romances. I enjoyed their story of finally reconnecting after 10 years forced apart by Blue’s mafia boss father. Tyson works for the FBI and is thrust into an undercover assignment to get information out of his one true love - the one woman he’s ever given himself to, but who disappeared out of the blue 10 years ago. Gabriella is coming home for the first time in 10 years to be with her dying mother. Running into Tyson on the plane feels like fate and everything seems to be perfectly re-aligning itself in her world. The story plays out well. It is told entirely from Blue’s POV (other than the prologue where we learn Tyson’s job and investment in the case). I wish I could have had at least a few scenes from his POV just to see what he was really thinking. I loved catching glimpses thru Blue, but dual POV books are just my favorite. I felt like Ms Lynn did an excellent job of creating characters that we felt for and cheered for. I even doubted my dislike for the mafia guys sometimes. This story was well thought out and even though I was pretty sure how it was going to go, I still read the entire thing and enjoyed watching the reactions and emotions that were brought forth. Can’t wait to read the next Fireside novel. ** Received an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review **

The cover of this book was the thing that drew my interest but I can never pass up a second chance romance, especially one where the characters have so many obstacles thrown in their path but still overcome them to find their happiness and I really enjoyed this book. HIS TO LOVE is an appealing story of abiding love and I loved that the renewed connection between Gabriella and Tyson retained the sweetness of youth. Gabriella Galecki and Tyson Blackwell were high school sweethearts with big plans for their future in spite of the challenge they faced with their families on opposite sides of the law, but they had a youthful optimism that things would work out for them, until they were forcibly separated. In the intervening ten years, Tyson lost his shot at a football career and became an FBI agent. Gabriella has never liked her father's organized crime connections and stayed away from Detroit to avoid getting entangled in her father's business, but her mother's failing health gives her no choice but to return. The Galecki crime family has been on the radar of federal agencies and with Gabriella's return, Tyson must capitalize on their past relationship to get information that could help them bring down, which puts in him a hard place: torn between his job and his feelings for Gabriella. Gabriella is caught between her love for Tyson, her desire for her father's love while at the same time disdaining his business practices, and the pressure to make an advantageous marriage as befits her father's position. Not an enviable position to be in, but I like that she was determined to maintain her independence. How will her love for Tyson be affected when the truth of his mission comes to light? Will she ever trust the man who's working so hard to bring down her father's empire and put him away for good? This is actually the first book from Ms. Lynn that I've read and I think she did a great job writing a complex yet sweet story with so many angles and characters with so many layers. Gabriella is a character anyone can relate to: caught between the demands of her family and her love for the man she's loved all her life, yet strong enough to forge her own path, instead of caving in to pressure. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series and will definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a great second chance romance. I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review. Stacey Lynn is a new author for me, so I didn't know exactly what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised! I really enjoyed Blue and Tyson's story and can't wait to read Chelsea's! This novel is in the Fireside series, but can be read as a stand-alone. I have not read any of her other novels and did not feel as though I missed any "back story". Blue is the furthest thing from what I envisioned as a Mafia princess/heir and I loved her character for that. She was strong, sassy, and wanted to make it on her own--not use her name to get special favors. Tyson, her high school boyfriend, comes into her life again unexpectedly. He's working a case that has the possibility of destroying their second chance at love. So as not to spoil the story, I'll just say this story has a HEA! It has suspense, funny moments, moments where I cried all rolled into one story. While I truly enjoyed this novel, I thought it was a little slow in the middle. I wanted the action to happen so Blue could have her HEA. I do recommend this novel for anyone who enjoys second chance love stories.

I am a true believer that everyone deserves a second chance. Tyson and Blue definitely deserve it. They were apart due to a father taking control of a situation that he had no business doing. From the very beginning I could see how much Blue’s father wanted to control her. He didn’t want Tyson and Blue together and did what he needed to to keep them apart. The second chance starts on the plane ride back to Detroit for both of them and the story just gets better and better. The reconnection between Tyson and Blue was the story… the love story… but there was more to Stacey Lynn’s book. There were family expectations, standing up for what is right, and making choices for yourself instead of doing what was expected. Blue is strong. Strong enough to know her mind, to love her family, to love Tyson, and to not just fall into the line expected of her by both Tyson and her father. I love how she pushed the men in her life to let her live her life as she wanted to yet she didn’t push them away for trying to protect her. Even her father, with his misguided intentions, wants to keep her safe while keeping his business intact. The best part is that nothing in this book was easy. Love, family, growing up, or finding themselves were all struggles. Each character grew as they worked their way through life. I cannot wait for more of the Fireside Series. I recommend picking up His to Love.

Tyson Blackwell never saw it coming when his Mafia princess girlfriend dumped him and disappeared at the age of eighteen. He never forgot her, either, even after what happened next: the killing of his father, a Detroit PD officer, at the hands of one ofher father’s men. Tyson swore revenge, and now, ten years later, the kid who dreamed of a pro football career is a hard-nosed FBI agent, back in town to take down the Galecki crime family once and for all. But Tyson’s mission gets complicated fast—because going undercover means seducing the only woman he’s ever loved. Gabriella “Blue” Galecki has been in hiding for a decade. She finally comes home to spend time with her terminally ill mother, only to receive a blast from the past when she runs into Tyson. His brooding eyes and electrifying touch still send chills down her spine. But as heir to the family empire, Blue has been promised to another. Caught in a web of deception, she is tempted to pull the trigger on the boldest risk she’s ever taken: trusting Tyson with her life, her body, and her heart. Review: A good love lost and found again story. I quite enjoyed this start to this new series. I thought the writing was very good and the Author created some really steamy intimate scenes. For Blue being a mafia princess, the mafia people are really a little on the vanilla side. I think I expected something a little more edgy. They talk about the crimes that were committed by Blue's father and her intended, but it was almost at the end of the story. And I did not get the whole part about the human trafficking, it seemed to be something really troubling and personal was going to happen with it at one point and then it was not mentioned again until the end. I liked Blue and Tyson together, they were cute and you could tell that they were meant to be together. Though of course, they had their obstacles namely, Tyson withholding the truth about who is working for and what he is working on. Overall, I really enjoyed the story, I just expected it to be a little grittier. One other thing, it says it is 285 pages???really I knew I was engaged but it so did not seem like that long of a story. I am very curious to see which friend gets a story next. 3.5Stars *Received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.*

From the first chapter this story grabs you. There is humour, mystery, sex, family loyalty versus the law and love and great characters. Looking forward to the next instalment;

I gave this book 4 stars, but the story itself deserved 5. The editing was a 3 star job. Lots of abrupt changes that had me going back to see if I had skipped reading something. The story itself was interesting and emotional. It was a story that kept you reading later than you should have because you were engrossed in the characters and plot. With. a few corrections, this would be a great story to read and recommend to a friend.

I'm conflicted on my rating for this one. I wasn't sure what to give so I went in the middle. The plot in this book was great, but it was missing something. Maybe it was that we didn't have a history to the relationship of Tyson & Blue. We didn't get to see how they were together or how much in love they were prior to breaking up many years ago. It would've been nice to have that info in the Prologue. I also think this story could've been better if written as a dual POV. There was so much that Tyson was keeping a secret that it would've been more interesting if we could've known how his investigation was going or even bits and pieces. Maybe his superiors were keeping things from him so that they could get what they needed. The Prologue and Epilogue in his POV weren't enough for me. Gabriella, or Blue, was frustrating to me as well. I get the dynamics of a mafia family, especially when the boss is your dad. But she kept saying she wanted to be independent from the family and every time her father told her to do something, she jumped at it. It was too contradicting of a character for me. This book was on the sweeter side of the mafia storylines. I expected more action when an FBI agent and a mafia daughter are involved. Don't get me wrong, it was still good and still grabbed my attention. I just thought it needed a little more something. *ARC received from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

This was the first time reading a book by this author. It was a happy introduction. I loved her writing! Tyson Blackwell, the male leading character, is a FBI agent on special assignment in his hometown of Detroit, He wants to shut down a crime family, the Galecki family, responsible for killing his father and reconnect with the only woman he has ever loved. The problem is she and the family are connected. Her name is Gabriella Blue Galecki and her father is an evil man. Will they be able to have a second chance at love and romance? They were high school sweethearts and she disappeared one night after graduation and has been missing for ten years. She was told, by her father, a reason she had to be hidden. She left in the cloak of darkness and Tyson searched for her for years. He began to give up hope that she was alive until her picture was in a case file staring at him. It made the love in his heart, anger and feings of betrayal burn bright. He wants answers! She wants to pretend they never happened and nurse her still broken heart. Gabriella has to return home to see her terminally ill mother. She has a chance or maybe not so chance meeting with Tyson on her flight home. He literally knocks her off of her feet. His to Love is a journey of two people trying to find a way to trust and forgive each other and themselves. Can they move beyond betrayal and their love be enough. I am excited to read His to Protect, the second book in the series.

eceived an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review. 'His to Love' by Stacey Lynn this is the first book in the "Fireside" Series. This is the story of Tyson “Blackbird” Blackwell and Gabriella “Blue” Galecki. Tyson and Blue had been in love when they were both young. But Gabriella just up and disappeared. Tyson did try to find her but now 10 years later is when he does have her come back into his life. We find that Gabriella had not stomach for her father's 'Business'. Now Tyson is trying to bring the man to justice that kill his police officer father. This book had a lot of drama/action and was a good 'second chance' at love type book. Thanks to Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley for a copy of this book! HIs to Love is book 1 in the Fireside series and WOW, this is going to be a great series! Stacey Lynn has become one of my "go to" authors quickly, she's amazing! This is the love story/heartbreak story of Gabriella and Tyson. They were so in love and then one day, Gabriella just disappeared. She was a mafia princess and was everything to Tyson. One of her father's men had Tyson's father, a cop, killed. It was then that Tyson decided to change his path in life and became FBI. Gabriella comes home after a decade of hiding, because her mother is dying. Of course, who does she run into but Tyson! The sparks are still there between them! Tyson's job is to find out why she's returned home....is it only because of her mother? I loved Gabriella and her strong self! Let's talk about Tyson......SUPER HOT and being FBI is my icing on the delicious man!! OH MY GRAVY, I'm in love with this man!! All in all, this was a great book! I look forward to reading book 2!

Wow! That first chapter is quite the attention grabber. Not only did I get sucked in early I was holding my breath through the entire book awaiting the inevitable fall out. I wanted it to happen so quickly so we could get on with the love that these characters deserve. His to Love is a tale of two characters Gabriella, the daughter of a Mob Boss in Detroit and Tyson the man of her dreams. Gabriella and Tyson were childhood sweet hearts, but where tragically torn apart by Gabriella’s father. Tyson grew up to become an FBI agent, set out to take down his father’s killer who just so happened to be his one true loves father. When Tyson is forced to go undercover and use his relationship with Gabriella to gain a lead in the investigation. I truly did enjoy this read. I wished that Tyson has a larger role in the story telling. He opened the book strong, but was never giving the opportunity to cameo again. It left my mind reeling on what he was thinking. Congratulation Stacey Lynn! Cannot wait to see what you do with His to Protect.

Stacey did it again!! What a beautiful well thought out story. I enjoyed the plot, characters and the chemistry. This book will definitely have you turning the pages. Tyson is sexy as hell, he's torn between his job and the only women he as ever loved. Can he do his job and love Gabriella at the same time? Or will he finally lose her for good this time? Gabriella is sassy and knows what she wants and she has her sights set on the man she walked away from 10 years ago, the only man she has ever loved. Will she be able to forgive Tyson for all the lies and secrets? Or will she walk away for good this time? You don't want to pass this book up! It's told in the POV of both main characters. This is part of a series but this book can be read as a standalone. And it's sexy as hell!!!

After his first love disappeared 10 years ago, her return is unexpected. Tyson never thought he’d see her again. He never forgot about Gabriella Galecki and now he finds himself having to get close to her in order to bring down the Galecki crime family. But can he find it in himself to use her in order to accomplish that goal? Gabriella has been gone for 10 years but with her mother’s illness, it’s finally time for her to come home. When she unexpectedly runs into her ex boyfriend, the one and only man she’s ever loved, she has to decide whether she can not only trust Tyson with her life but with her heart as well. This was my first time reading Stacey Lynn and it won’t be the last. The emotion that emits through Stacey's writing truly brought this story to life. The love between Tyson and Gabriella is undeniable from the very beginning. I loved Gabriella’s independence. She clearly can have anything handed to her with her family’s wealth and name alone but she wanted to make a way on her own. There wasn’t much I didn’t like about Tyson. He was very passionate when it came to his work and there was no doubt in the love that he felt for Gabriella. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish.

3.5 Stars The story was compelling. I liked Blue and Tyson. I liked the mafia angle, as well as the idea that she was removed from the life. Although I am not sure I was totally on board with the goat farm thing. I liked the pacing of the story, I liked the characters and I liked their interactions...however I was not totally engaged in the story as I was not able to fully believe some of the timeline and some of the actions of the characters. I was also torn with the ending and the way it was constructed...part of me thinks it was resolved too quickly, part of me felt it drug on too long. I think most of my issue was I felt the larger issues were resolved quickly, whereas the smaller issues were drug out longer than necessary. It is hard to get too specific without large spoilers...and maybe this was just me, but the balance of the reactions of the characters didn't seem consistent. If that makes any sense. ***ARC Provided by the publisher and NetGalley***

Sweet And Sexy Second Chance Tyson Blackwell and Gabriella Bluejay Galecki were sweethearts in high school. Though family events separate them, both Tyson and Gabriella have not forgotten the vows of love they made to each other. Now after ten long years, Tyson Blackwell is an FBI agent assigned to investigate the Galecki mob family. He can’t believe Gabriella has grown to be a beautiful and sensual woman, and he’s reluctant to insert himself back into her life using her for information since he’s too close to the subject. But Tyson has personal reasons of his own to lock up Jimmy Galecki and finally end the mob organization’s illicit dealings. Mafia princess Gabriella Galecki has always distanced herself from her father’s business. After Gabriella’s parents convince her of Tyson’s betrayal, she’s shipped off to live at her aunt’s farm in Colorado. A decade later she’s need at home, and Tyson needs to find out why. I’m a sucker for second chance romance and His To Love did not disappoint. Ms Lynn pens a sweet, sexy story with likable lead characters, and nice pacing. His To Love has all the elements of a well written romance that make me want to come back for more. Lovely and enjoyable. Copy provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. My rating: 4.5

I really enjoyed this book although it wasn't quite what I was expecting. Blue and Tyson (Blackbird) were childhood sweethearts cruelly torn apart by lies and deception. Fast forward ten years and their paths are set to cross again. This time, ex-NFL up-and-coming star Tyson is now Agent Blackwell and he's sent back to Detroit to investigate Blue's Mafia father and his corrupt, illegal empire. I love second chance romance and this one was superbly written. The chemistry between our couple was off the charts and I adored their natural banter. Even though they hadn't seen each other since that fateful night ten years ago, it was obvious their love never died. They can barely stay away from one another so it doesn't take much for them to reconnect. It's not without its challenges, though. Her father wants to step down and has hopes that Blue will marry his mafioso successor. Ty is hiding his true persona and real agenda from the love of his life and the weight of it is a heavy burden. What I enjoyed most about this story was the complexity of the main characters and the intensity of the emotional development. I felt everything they felt! Her heartache and pain when his betrayal is revealed, his inner turmoil at the thought of losing her again. The scene where her mother passed was extremely well written. Tears were pouring down my cheeks, it felt so real. The romance is very much front and center stage which I didn't mind because it was so beautifully written. However, I was expecting romantic suspense and it was very light on the suspense/mystery aspect of the story. It would have benefitted from stronger world building. It was only toward the end of the book that we got a proper look at the horrific criminal empire her father presided over, and saw Tyson in his professional capacity. I did also feel like the friends were kinda thrown into the story to set up the next few books and I would have liked more character development of the secondary characters. The writing was great and I had no issues with pacing either. If you go into this book as a contemporary romance you will adore it. It is deftly crafted and expertly executed with strong emotional development and sublime characterization. The romance is sizzling and you can't help but root for our couple. All in all, a fantastic read. Thanks to the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this book, via Netgalley, in exchange for my honest review. Actual 4.5 stars

This is a second chance romance of Gabriella and Tyson who were high school sweethearts who were separated at 18. Ten years later they are brought back together. Tyson is now an FBI agent who is tasked as an undercover agent to help bring down Gabriella's father. Circumstances such as these are not the way to fall in love again but with all the chaos swirling around them it was heart wrenching and emotional and came through with every page. I truly enjoyed this book and I'm really looking forward to more in this series. **Received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

I really enjoyed this one! Coming from a new to me author, I am looking forward to reading more from her. There was great character development, great pace, and a very enjoyable storyline making this an entertaining read start to finish. It's a second chance story between two people who have a lot to overcome before finding their HEA. As teenagers, Tyson "Blackbird" Blackwell is the son of a cop and Gabriella "Blue" Galecki is the daughter of a Mafia boss. A very unlikely pair but they seemed to be making it work. Until the day she disappears without a word leaving Tyson broken hearted but determined to move on. After ten years Gabriella has be called home by her father and the FBI need to find out why. That's where Tyson comes in. He's now working for the bureau and is determined to find out what's going on with Gabriella. He wants to know what happened in the past as well as her plans for the future. As well as how her father fits into all the drama they have shared. Definitely a good read and one I would recommend.
