I have to admit this book is good for sleepovers or campfires but otherwise it is not a good read. The way it doesn't focous on any of the tales makes me want to put the book down. If you are looking for a terror tale with detail, and you want to be able to picture the moment, don't waste your time reading this book. I wouldn't recommend anyone read this unless you wanna keep it handy for a night out with your friends.

i am *not* an avid reader, but this book definitely had me glued! scott and norman outline facinating, researched stories of ghostly encounters throughout the u.s. and canada... the best part is when they tell of haunted houses in your locale, places you're passed and wondered about, but never really knew the real story behind it, until now! (goosebumps!)

This is one of the best books I've ever read. If you like this one then try the other two written by the same people

If you really want a scare, that is true and satisfying than this is the one you should read along with several other great books they wrote. I have never read anything that truly scares me, until I got their books.

I loved this book. I have read most of the books in this series and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. This book combines both history and paranormal, which are two subjects that I enjoy. If you're looking for a tween level gore and jump out at you type of book, then this isnt for you. If you are looking for an adult level read about historical paranormal throughout the USA, then youll love this book.
