About the Author

Bob Duncan grew up at the feet of the generation who went off to serve their nation in the Second World War, and he has an abiding interest in their stories. He is the county historian and director of the Maury County Archives in Columbia, Tennessee, and a frequent speaker concerning the history of our country. His favorite audiences consist of young school children from his area who know him as "Uncle Bob." This is his fifth book. He is seeking a patron to take him on a free trip to World War II battlefields where he will expound at great length.
