About the Author

Ken Scoville's has been a teacher and educator for over 40 years and has developed a framework for teaching young students (K-5 ages) U.S. history. His framework works for each of these grades, and is a unique combination of actual travel to historic places and the use of the internet to do the same. Mr. Scoville is an advocate for the preservation of historic sites throughout Southern Arizona, and provides guided tours of historic districts in Tucson. He has spent many summers traveling to historic places around the United States that have been preserved and interpreted by the National Park Service. Mr. Scoville is civic-minded and passionate on the subject of history, and takes an active part in city council meetings and town halls to advocate for historic sites.
