About the Author
Paul Robert Magocsi, FRSC, is professor of history and political science and holds the chair of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Toronto.
Geoffrey J. Matthews was Chief Cartographer at the University of Toronto for more than thirty years, until his retirement in 1993. He was cartographer for twenty previous atlases, including all three volumes of the Historical Atlas of Canada, as well as the Economic Atlas of Ontario, which won the Leipzig Award for the most beautiful book in the world in 1970.
