From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Samantha Young...

Autumn O'Dea has always tried to see the best in people while her big brother, Killian, has always tried to protect her from the worst. While their lonely upbringing made Killian a cynic, it isn't in Autumn's nature to be anything but warm and open. However, after a series of relationship disasters and the unsettling realization that she's drifting aimlessly through life, Autumn wonders if she's left herself too vulnerable to the world. Deciding some distance from the security blanket of her brother and an unmotivated life in Glasgow is exactly what she needs to find herself, Autumn takes up her friend's offer to stay at a ski resort in the snowy hills of Montana. Some guy-free alone time on Whitetail Mountain sounds just the thing to get to know herself better.

However, she wasn't counting on colliding into sexy Grayson King on the slopes. Autumn has never met anyone like Gray. Confident, smart, with a wicked sense of humor, he makes the men she dated seem like boys. Her attraction to him immediately puts her on the defense because being open-hearted in the past has only gotten it broken. Yet it becomes increasingly difficult to resist a man who is not only determined to seduce her, but adamant about helping her find her purpose in life and embrace the person she is. Autumn knows she shouldn't fall for Gray. It can only end badly. After all their lives are divided by an ocean and their inevitable separation is just another heart break away...

3.75 stars--HOLD ON is instalment 2.5 and novella in Samantha Young’s contemporary, adult PLAY ON erotic, romance series. This is Autumn O’ Dea, and ski instructor/ construction company owner Grayson King’s storyline. HOLD ON can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments in the Play On series is revealed where necessary. Autumn is the sister of Killian O’Dea –AS DUST DANCES. NOTE: HOLD ON is part of Kristen Proby’s BIG SKY crossover collection. Told from first person point of view (Autumn ) HOLD ON follows Glasgow resident Autumn O’Dea as she vacations, along with friends Catie and Kyle, in the Whitetail Mountains of Montana. Not much of a ski enthusiast, Autumn will take out ski instructor Grayson King, which will ‘snowball’ into a insta-love romance between two people from opposite sides of the ocean. What ensues is the rapidly building romance and love between Grayson and Autumn, and the potential fall-out as Autumn struggles with issues of trust, and battles with separation anxiety from Killian O’Dea, the brother she considers both parent and friend. HOLD ON is a story of romance, love, letting go and moving forward. Autumn’s history with men is dark and miserable but meeting Grayson King stirs something in our story line heroine long thought buried and gone. Grayson King’s attraction to Autumn is immediate and intense, so much so that our hero is determined to claim Autumn as his own. The premise is fast paced, sweet, and engaging; the romance is passionate and intense; the characters are colorful and energetic. HOLD ON is the perfect addition to Samantha Young’s PLAY ON series.

Maybe 3.5 stars. This was a very sweet, very short story. I loved Autumn and Gray. It was harder for Autumn to give in to love having been through what we know she dealt with from her part in As Dust Dances. Gray was all about getting her to give him a chance though. And he went after her full speed. Which makes sense, Autumn was only in the area on a holiday. I liked how Gray was able to help her figure out what she really wanted to do now that she'd gotten away from Scotland and her brother. But I also understand her hesitancy to move so far away from her brother, her only real family. So it was easy to see just why she held out as she did.

Their chemistry had me hooked! I really loved Autumn from As Dust Dances so it is really great to have learnt and read more about her. I enjoyed her character development and loved that even though it was a Novella it didnt feel rushed or short. I did however want more but that is always the beauty of SY, you are always wanting more. Beautifully written with a strong female lead trying to find her way, she is not rescued by the handsome and strong Gray but I would say that he does enable her to truly feel the love she has been looking for and deserves. This in turn really helps her figure herself out, which is beautiful to see unfold and read. They have the best chemistry which of course just makes you never want to stop reading their romance. It is also a really good stand alone read and you are able to pick up the information without having to have read any of the other books. If you have then you will love the continuation and also getting a glimpse back into As Dust Dances, which is always a treat! I think having a cross over was great as well and I am a big fan as to me it makes me feel like these characters are really living. It's like real life, two different people coming from two different backgrounds and stories coming together. Gray is an another amazing book boyfriend, strong and also sweet. There is this initial sense of enemies which is always fun to create the extra tension. If you're looking for a story you can sink your teeth into quickly then this is a great one to start with!

I liked Autumn since meeting her in As Dust Dances. She hasn’t had much luck with men. Then she meets Gray. She’s apprehensive with good reason. I immediately fell in love with Gray. He is a man’s man, but still manages to be charming. The relationship moves fast, but Gray and Autumn have great chemistry and it works. Even though this was a novella, I still managed to get all the feels. This was a quick, sweet and steamy read that left me feeling satisfied.

What a wonderful novella, I loved Autumn O’Dea in As Dust Dances, and I loved that I got to catch up with Killian and Skylar, in Autumn’s sweet novella. It was lovely to watch Autumn bloom with the help of Grayson King (I just love that name), a (could be) ski instructor and construction company owner who immediately falls for Autumn and her cute Scottish accent. Unwilling to take no for answer (no matter how many times she refuses him), Grayson’s persistence eventually pays off and he manages to wear her down for a date. Perfect writing, a wonderful story, my only complaint, the story definitely finished too soon. I could have read about Autumn and Grayson in a full length novel. A quick, easy and delightful read, I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review.

Autumn O’Dea is taking a break from men. While on vacation in Montana she literally crashes into Gray King on the ski slopes. Little does she know this will change her life for the better. Gray is literally struck by Autumn and now has to convince her to take a chance on them! Loved this cross over book!

When I got the chance to get the ARC of this book I knew I needed it! If you follow my reviews, then you know that I'm obsessed with Samantha Young's books. Her characters are lovely, the emotions portrayed are realistic, and they are good books to escape to. Hold On is no different. Hold On is a story about Autumn, Killian's little sister. We met both Killian & Autumn in Samantha's book As Dust Dances so, it was exciting to catch another glimpse of their lives together. Autumn wears her heart on her sleeve and is continuously being hurt for it. She's someone that many women will be able to relate to and I loved that. The chemistry between her and Grey is out of this world. The banter was fantastic, and I really enjoyed watching her grow as a character. My one complaint with this book is that it wrapped up too nicely, and way too quickly. I would have loved to see more of a struggle, but that is the curse of a novella. There is only so much room for a plot, but I really would have loved to see more in this book. Ultimately, I'm giving this 4 caffeinated stars because it was a short, cute, steamy read that fits well into the Play On series. I have never read one of Kristen Proby's books but I'm truly intrigued. I will definitely need to pick up a Big Sky novel.

I really enjoyed this book. It was sweet but steamy. Gray just owns his confidence and I loved it. I understood Autumn’s hesitation in jumping into a relationship so quickly. But sometimes you just have to take the leap of faith that it will all work out.

I know stories that have insta-love in them aren't a favorite with some romance readers, but I choose to see Samantha Young's latest release as more of a story about true love and how, when it finds you, you should hold on to it. I've read both Young's Play On series and Kristen Proby's Big Sky series, and I must say that Young did a great job melding both worlds together. I'm a wee bit of a cynic (yes, I'm a cynical romantic, go figure!), and yet I was on board when it came to Gray and Autumn. Yes, it was quick, and yes, it may seem fantastical, but just because it hasn't happened to me doesn't me finding love in a short amount of time isn't possible. In less than a hundred pages, Young created a love story that made put a smile on my face and my heart swooning. Five stars for Hold On. ♥

Hold On puts emotions to the test. From a bond between siblings to a romance in the works, Young takes on love at it's most challenging and ends up Inspiring. Autumn is learning about herself. An optimist in a world of cynicism, she needs a bit of distance to follow her heart. That distance leads her into the arms of Grayson. Her heart tells her, he could be the man of her dreams, her mind has a different opinion. Can she get out of her head long enough to allow her heart to decide?
