Holiday Bliss

Three Authors... Three Stories of Holiday Bliss... Holiday Love

Brenan Brown has a terrible secret. One his beautiful wife doesn't know. One that could destroy his happiness and his family. One he'd thought buried along with his former identity in a grave in Ireland. But shady characters -- terrorists really -- from his past come to the stately mansion called Bliss with blackmail and kidnapping on their minds. And with his family's safety at risk, his future in peril, all Brenan can hope for is the Christmas miracle.

Julie Peters' plans to modernize Waterside Hospital's labor and delivery protocols are thwarted by old school doctors and brown-nosing colleagues. But a handsome doctor who understands her point of view has a fine bedside manner and a way of tending her heart that has forever after attached to it. Can a Thanksgiving stay in the regal home called Bliss give her the space she needs to right her future and fall in love?

Vaughn Jennings has one rule -- his no employee dating rule -- that he refuses to break. Not even for Chelsea Chathford, the curvaceous master carpenter he employs. With just reason. But with every day that goes by, it gets harder and harder to follow his rule. Should he follow his heart? Or forever wish he had? Because Christmas comes but once a year. And with it, the only chance to have his holiday wish come true.

This book was great for this time of year. I guess that is why it's called Holiday Bliss haha. The three stories in it were great. They were each set in a different time period and that really kept my attention. I like romance but I really enjoy it when it is a historical romance. I liked all three stories a lot. They were all written well and kept me interested. There was enough romance to warm me up on a cold night. The stories did seem to intertwine to me but I am not able to put my finger on how. They are separate and maybe it was just the historical factor. This was definitely a great read though!

Holiday Bliss is a collection of 3 stories, each revolving around a historical home in Albemarle Sound, North Carolina, called Bliss. Each story is set around the Holidays, but in different time eras. Each author does a great job of bringing the history and social injustices from that time to light. In each of the stories, Bliss has featured role. We learn about the families who lived and loved there. This was a fun book for me because I have often thought about the people who live in the house where I grew up. I sometimes drive by and wonder what they are like … how the decorated my old bedroom, or what other changes they’ve made. I liked the fact that although times change, Bliss was always a constant throughout. I feel all 3 authors did a great job at “connecting” 3 totally different stories of love.

This is a great book for the holidays! The three titles include a heart, a wish and a miracle. The first story "The Christmas Miracle" was interesting because I wondered why someone would bury their identity. It led to his family getting in harms way. What was the miracle that Brenan was waiting for? Did he want his past forgotten, his wife never to find out, or to keep his family safe? This led to all sorts of issues for the family, including the FBI, and danger. Will their love survive? Will they survive? In book 2 "Tending Her Heart" the author does a great job of telling a story about a strong woman that has strong feelings and is not afraid to fight for what she believes in. Plus there is a secondary plot about women's rights and how much has changed for women since the setting of this book, even in childbirth. This is a great anthology that has a strong man and a strong woman willing to stand up and do what is right. What is left? The last story is about a romance that can never be, but with a little holiday spirit anything is possible. I am giving this book a 4/5. I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

I love this time of year because I can feed my need for sweet Christmas movies and books. When Holiday Bliss came up for review it was an answer to my obsession! What made it even more perfect were the lengths of the stories. They were short and sweet! These stories were very unique because they were all featured about The Bliss House in Harrington, Carolina but during different periods of time. The stories start with the 1920s thru now. Each book dealt with different issues of the time. Now I want to read more from each of these authors! I highly recommend.

This is the second book in The Bliss Series, and although I did not read the first book in the series, I really enjoyed this one. It can be read as a standalone if you have not read the other book first. It is a collection of three different stories with the same theme throughout each of them. I love anthologies because they give me stories to read back to back that have the same concept. I don’t have to jump genres and I get to meet new characters right away and learn their stories. The three book collection features stories by Kathleen Shoop, Marcy Waldenville, and JD Wylde. I can honestly tell you that even though I was only familiar with Kathleen Shoop’s works before that the other two authors quickly grew on me. I will be diving into the research of what else they have written because I just enjoyed the stories that much. The setting of the town was always the same even though the stories changed with each one. It was so fun to read about all the different eras and the people that were affected in what ways during each of the times. Bliss was a great character to follow. The home seemed so cozy and I just wanted to be there in each and every story. They warmed my heart and put me in that perfect holiday mood. Each story is short with interesting characters that can be related to in one way or another. If you are looking for that perfect collection of feel good stories to read for the holidays, this is the one to pick up! I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

The Christmas Miracle by Marcy Waldenville is the first in Book #2 of the Bliss Series. The moral of this tale is never hide from your past because it will come back to haunt you. Brennan never told his wife about his rather sordid past-one he literally buried when he left Ireland to come to America. When 2 people suddenly appear at his door--the truth eventually comes out and it will take a Christmas Miracle to sort it all out. Tending Her Heart by Kathleen Shoop is the 2nd novella in Book#2 of the Bliss Series. It is actually a continuation of her books Home Again and Return to Love of the Endless Love series. I have been waiting to read this one it feels like forever and it did not disappoint! I will have a review of this novella up on my blog in a couple of weeks. Holiday Wish by J.D. Wylde is the 3rd in Book#2 of the Bliss Series. This, like The Christmas Miracle is a rather short novella, but chock full of reading entertainment and life lessons. It is the tale of Vaughn Jennings who must come to terms with his past, where he made many mistakes in order to be happy and get the girl of his dreams! Can he overcome ruining his families business in Savannah those many years ago--can he let the guilt go? These three novellas are brought together by Bliss-an old house that has seen many generations, sorrows and happiness. Each story is in a different time period, with different people all with their own set of problems to overcome. There is also an underlying theme to all which you know I am not going to tell you!! I can not recommend this collection highly enough.

Holiday Bliss is indeed the perfect read for the Christmas season. The authors of this great novel did a good job in showing everyone the value of loving oneself and being of service to the ones we love. The three stories in the book were perfectly written and up to this very moment, it still amazes me how Kathleen Shoop, Marcy Waldenville and JD Wylde were able to connect the happenings from various generations. Each story is filled of lessons which will remind every reader the value of a family home and love.

This trio of novellas centered around life in one house, Bliss, is engaging and warm, a perfect holiday read. Each story is written by a different author, set in different time periods, yet is woven together masterfully. I really enjoyed the historical perspective and societal issues raised in each story -- not to say they were heavy, just gave the book a ring of authenticity.  Each story includes some "bedroom scenes" that might not be comfortable for all readers. Please consider that when gifting.

How can you not love to read Holiday Bliss? This book has three beautiful stories with each stories being different from each other. I love reading this book and so as the three beautiful authors. I would definitely recommend this to everybody who loves to read and fall in-love during the festive season.

The three stories bound together in this book have a couple of common underlying themes; Enduring love and forgiving yourself. Of course, all the events being during the holidays made them magical anyway. I liked the way the stories all took place in Harrington, North Carolina, at the historic home known as Bliss; and also that all were different eras. I felt nostalgic reading about the different families who lived there throughout the years.  Kudos to the three authors who were able to disguise that all the stories were by different authors.  That is a feat in itself. Now that I’m in the holiday spirit, I know I will have to go back and read the first book of the Bliss series.

This was a trio of short stories just perfect for the holidays. Each was set in a different time period, but had one constant: the house called Bliss. It was the perfect tie to link the three vastly different stories together making it feel like one seamless compilation.  I've got to admit, I have a soft spot for historical romance. There is just something about the early 1900's that sets a spark off for me. The first novella in this installment of the Bliss series was my absolute favorite. Brenan Brown and his Irish revolutionaries were my knock out favorite of the bunch.

Holiday Bliss is the second book in the Bliss Series. It can be read as a stand-alone or as a part of the series. Holiday Bliss is comprised of 3 short Novellas, which I loved all of them! In all 3 of the Novellas, there was just enough romance, that it made my insides warm! I liked how the books were linked together in some form or fashion, or that's how it seemed to me! This is a great book to give as a gift to a reader in your life, especially since it focus's on the Holidays! I really look forward to reading more from each of the authors, Kathleen Shoop, Marcy Waldenville & JD Wylde!

Awesome trilogy for the holidays - a mixture of many characters and settings but all leading back to one place ... love :) "Tending Her Heart" Kathleen Shoop has not let her readers down with this short story - full of action and passion and once again in a hospital setting. Will Julie succeed in her quest and find love too with the mysterious Michael Young? I love the way the story is told from both Michael and Julie's perspectives - so we get to see what they each are feeling and how they find their way to each other. So many obstacles to overcome like Trish and Jason to find each other - it's a great read all the way to the end! Just when you think you know exactly what is happening BAM! something happens to completely throw you off keel again and wondering what will happen next :) "The Christmas Miracle" I loved this story, a man with an Irish background and a past that will come around to haunt him. I love the way they have the perfect family but their bliss is threatened by his past. Brenan and Julie are awesome characters and the love they feel for each other and their children is amazing and really comes through in the story :) His wife may be rich and have an inheritance from her first husband but will that be shattered? A great read for the holidays! "Holiday Wish" Being in love with your boss is a hard thing to handle, especially when there is a company policy against workplace relationships. And then there is the fact that Chelsea is a master carpenter, a place where a woman does not get much respect. But Chelsea is strong, independent, sexy and bound and determined to get Vaughn. I love the character of Chelsea because she is very complex - she is a tomboy but still a hot vixen at the same time. But then we start to see things from Vaughn's point of view, and we see that he really does want Chelsea too, although he is too proud and manly to change his mind on anything. But I also love that he has a vulnerable side and that there is a GOOD reason for his rule. It makes him much more of a sympathetic character especially after the first few chapters are devoted to Chelsea's POV and what a hard-ass he is. Packed with tons of sizzle and spice, this story keeps you enthralled to the very end! A great end to the trilogy of Holiday Bliss :) I received a complimentary ebook for my reviews :)

Holiday Bliss is the second book in the Bliss series. It can be read as a stand alone, but I read the first book in the series. It provided some history, but was not necessary for Holiday Bliss. I loved all three novellas. They were great stories with just enough romance to make you smile and I felt that each story was linked in someway or another whether it be by relation or to Bliss. It is a great book to sit down and unwind during the chaos of the holiday season and would make a great gift for the reader in your life. All three authors wrote great novellas and I look forward to finding more from each author. If you are looking for fun reads to unwind, I recommend the novellas that Holiday Bliss holds for your reading enjoyment.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this collection. There's something for every winter holiday: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. This is a wonderful, sweet collection that would be perfect to curl up on the couch with. It's interesting to see the contrast in the authors' writing style and interpretation on life and love. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good holiday romance...or three!

I did not read the first book in this series, but do not know that you have to read it to enjoy this one. Holiday Bliss is a three book collection by Kathleen Shoop, Marcy Waldenville, and JD Wylde. Marcy and JD are new authors to me and Kathleen Shoop is an author that I have read and enjoyed before. I want a house like Bliss, where families come and go yet the pride for the place is passed on from family to family. The traditions are also carried on by the different families that live in Bliss. While each story has different characters the setting of the town was the same. It was fun to see how the different era’s affected the town, the people, and Bliss. Each of these stories is a short and enjoyable story to read. The characters are interesting and for the most part relatable. There were a few characters that grated on me the wrong way, but I was able to continue with the story and be satisfied with where their story ended. This is a series of short stories that someone looking for a fun holiday read should definitely check out.

We all love a story with a happy ending but, let’s face it, what makes a happy ending happy is the ugly middle. Holiday Bliss is an anthology of three great novellas set around the holiday season in different eras. The Christmas Miracle by Marcy Waldenville drew me right in with its rich description of another era where the main character’s past comes back to haunt him. Brenan Brown is happily married having buried his old life to build a new one. When he receives a visit from two men he realises that the past can be hidden but it never dies. A menacing threat looms over his family and it all happens as the festive season approaches. How will it all end and the question is – will a miracle save the day? This story kept me guessing right until the end. Tending Her Heart by Kathleen Shoop. Reading this story one cannot help but think that the more things change the more they remain the same especially in the workplace. Julie works as a nurse but none of her views or recommendations are taken seriously by her colleagues. I found myself cheering her on as she fought for what was right and willing her to win particularly when things didn’t seem to be working out. An enjoyable read. Holiday Wish by J.D. Wylde. Vaughn is a well-meaning boss whose views about workplace relationships are very clear until something stronger forces him to change his outlook and reconsider his options. Will he get his Christmas wish? This was a great, fun read. I loved the common link in the stories and thoroughly enjoyed reading each one.

I didn't realize at first that this book was actually three different stories by three different authors. The stories all intertwine which makes it really interesting to read. The stories themselves all revolve around the holiday season, which scores points with me because it's my favorite time of year. It's a magical time of year and that magic is alive in these stories. This is a wonderful read for this time of year and I highly suggest you put it on your list and read it asap. The different authors work well together weaving their stories together and I love the manner in which this particular book was put together!

A great blend of stories from talented writers. Each geared to ring in your holiday spirit in their own way. An entertaining diversion for any reader. The Christmas Miracle by Marcy Waldenville. Brenan Brown has secrets. Mysterious secrets his wife doesn’t even know about. Not the usual holiday saga… no, not at all! Exciting tale of mystery, intrigue, and some danger. Brenan’s past is back with a vengance, so we shall see if he can put it in it’s place in time for the holiday! Tending Her Heart by Kathleen Shoop. Working as a nurse, Julie is often treated as an inferior child by the doctors she works with. A disagreement with a doctor leaves her feeling betrayed by another, Dr. Michael Young. After she is injured, Michael takes care of her. The question then remains… will he support her and her dreams. Holiday Wish by J.D. Wylde. Chelsea is making it in a man’s world. Her boss, Vaughn, seems to be a real stickler for rules. Can’t break the rules… even for himself. You know, Employees are not allowed to date! Will he break the rules and get his Christmas wish? A nice easy and fun read.

While I've read anthologies many times before, I've never seen them tied together quite so well! This is a wonderful trio of stories that center around a historic home (Bliss) and the people who live in it and their loved ones. Each story is set in a different time, and in each there are struggles to overcome in order for the couple to find love. It was an excellent way to watch the story grow through time, with ties between them (gifts given to a homeowner in one story are introduced in another). My personal favorite of the trio was Tending Her Heart, which included a great career struggle and showed me a history if childbirth that I wasn't aware existed! I also love that they were all set in the holidays, which is a magical time for storytelling. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who wants a quick and romantic holiday read! I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

Holiday Bliss is the first book that I've read where there was more than one author and more than one story. I loved that they all take place around Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is my favorite time of year, and reading about characters who love it as much as I was a lot of fun. Tending her Heart by Kathleen Shoop and Holiday Wish by JD Wylde were tied for my favorite story in the book. Often times you find romance in the workplace. Both stories struggled with the connection, and I could feel the love in the words! Tying in each story as they shared the same characteristics was a lot of fun. Learning about the beautiful sleigh given from Husband to Wife in The Christmas Miracle, hearing about it again as being a Christmas prop outside of Bliss in Tendering her Heart made me feel a little nostalgic. Around Christmas Time we tend to think back and live our memories while keeping them so near and dear to our hearts. I loved that this book took me back to times when I could spend the Holidays with my family. I have no doubt it would do the same for you!

I love Kathleen Shoops writing. This book is 3 novelettes, each has its own great points and is separate yet related. I received a copy of this book in exchange for sharing my opinion.

The Christmas Miracle by  Marcy Waldenville The Christmas Miracle is a short story set in the 1920's about the importance of staying true to yourself and your beliefs. How we each can change and make a difference. Who was Brenan? Was he evil or good? Very good short story  focusing on the Christmas holiday.   Tending her Heart by Kathleen Shoop A story of a strong woman all alone searching for what is right. Right in all areas of her life.  Wonderful feel good story for the holidays.   Holiday Wish by J.D. Wylde Holiday Wish is a feel good holiday short story. A perfect story about Rules are Made to be Broken.   All three of these short stories were fun reads. They each expressed the spirit of the holiday season.  I highly recommend this book as a perfect book to read while sitting by the Christmas tree on a chilly winter night.   This book would also be a perfect early Christmas gift for any reader on your shopping list. Excellent for Secret Santa gift!
