Overview

Jane Osborne is ready for love. That's why she had signed up with the matchmaking service to begin with. She hadn't been Blake's true love, and that was fine.
But being publicly and unceremoniously dumped by him?

Naughty list.

Being invited to the Christmas Eve wedding of him and the woman he dumped her for?

Coal-worthy.

She can't not go, however. No, she needs to show Blake Donovan that she is just fine, thank you very much. He won't ruin her favorite holiday. All she needs is the perfect date.

Craigslist.

Fake-boyfriend-for-hire Ian Brooks ends up being a delightful surprise--and a mysterious stranger she's definitely met before. Soon he's as tangled up in her life as Christmas lights.

Could he be the holiday love she's dreamed of?

About the Author

With millions of books sold worldwide, Laurelin Paige is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author. She is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Killing Eve or Letterkenny, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She's also a proud member of Mensa International though she doesn't do anything with the organization except use it as material for her bio. She is represented by Rebecca Friedman.

What's not to love? It's the most magical time of the year and also happens to be my most favourite holiday. I love any story that is centred on Christmas; it’s a time for family and friends to get together. I have to say that this story made me a little sad. We really got an insight into the thoughts and feelings of Jane Osborne (sometimes a little too much) and there were times that my heart went out to her. Her thoughts show the vulnerability that she hides from the world. Expecting a proposal, Jane is shocked, when instead the man she has been dating dumps her. Fast forward several months and he has the audacity to invite her to his Christmas Eve wedding. Determined not to give him satisfaction, she decides to hire a date, a fake boyfriend. Ian Brooks, although someone she would never consider dating, is the man she decides on, all he needs is a make over. There is more to Ian than meets the eye and through Ian, Jane learns to believe in the magic of Christmas. This is a fun, quick steamy story that will certainly get you in the mood for the holiday season.

Jane is a rich woman that has to please everybody. She needs a date for her ex’s wedding. She feels like she can’t show up without a date. Ian is a man that is helping out his family and didn’t come from a rich family. He is from the southie. Jane hired Ian to be her date and he has to be perfect. She tries to change him and it comes back and bites her and she realizes that is who she wants in her life. Jane had to have her way or the highway. They have good chemistry together. He likes to have fun and she seems to not know what that means. It was nice seeing the women that needs to hire a date to it always being the male that needs one. A holiday book that was good.

What an enjoyable and romantic Christmas story. The Christmas spirit was alive and well in Boston with the beautiful decorations and frenzied shopping. Jane was in love with Christmas and all of its magic, but she would never think of decorating before Thanksgiving, and she would certainly never attend the wedding of her ex boyfriend. But an idea came to her, and she decided to search for the perfect and appropriate man to be her escort at the dreaded wedding. Jane hit the jackpot when she met Ian online, and she enjoyed talking to him on the phone. Would he be as perfect in person? It definitely wouldn’t hurt to look him up on social media, just to take a peek at her future wedding date. She was shocked when she recognized his handsome face smiling back at her. Would Ian remember her? Jane had never stopped thinking about him. Will the stars in the Christmas sky shine down on Jane to show her what the holidays really mean?

This is a quick, heartwarming, holiday story. Jane is alone after her parents pass and her boyfriend leaves her for someone else. She receives an invitation to his wedding for the eve of her favorite holiday. When Jane hires a mysterious, sexy man to show off as her date, she just might learn that she is more than her status. Ian was so kind, loving, and swoony! He really knew how to show Jane how to be true to herself. This sweet, opposites attract romance is so heartwarming and engaging. It is a wonderful holiday read!

Holiday for Hire is a short holiday story. Jane is dumped by her boyfriend and to her chagrin, she receives his wedding invitation. She decided it was too embarrassing to attend alone, so Jane puts in an ad on Craig’s List. The story is funny, enjoyable and sexy. Review copy was received for a honest opinion.
