About the Author

Ordained into the Holy Ministry in 1999, Pastor Coffey is a 1998 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Upon graduation from Seminary, Pastor Coffey received a graduate fellowship to study and teach seminary classes at Concordia. Since 1999, he served as Pastor of First Lutheran Church in Greenwich,Connecticut and, from 2006-2010, he also served as Vacancy Pastor to Zion Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut. From 2011-2015, he served as pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hyde Park, New York.
Pastor Coffey has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Concordia University in Irvine, California. He also has a Master of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
A Pastor for more than 16 years in the Holy Ministry, Reverend Coffey has spoken at and presented numerous theological papers at various symposia and national seminars. He has also served as Adjunct Instructor for Religion and Literature at Concordia College, Bronxville, New York as well as Chairman of the Commission on Worship for the New England District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
