Marilyn Manson is my favorite artist ever, i love all of his music, but i have to say that this is by far the best album that he has out there now. all of the songs on here are amazing (my favorites are disposable teens, valentines day, & the fight song). if you are a Manson fan, or if you want to listen to one of his albums to see if you like him start with this one.

i cannot begin to express myself about this album, this thing of unconsiderable beauty and humanity. manson has truely outdone himself on this, his third installment in his epic rock opera of antichrist superstar, mechanical animal, and holy wood. i feel so in touch with the emotions on this album that i can't stop listening for fear i might miss a crucial part of myself. this album really will speak to you in a profound way; it will draw you in, throw you out, and leave you begging for another brain-bashing, emotion-shattering game of harsh reality. it is a must for anyone who longs for a rock disc that has energy and passion welded together with unstoppable truth. it doesn't get any better than this, folks!

If you can place any rocker or goth metal musician, Marylin Manson will probably be one of the people in discussion. He to me is probably one of the finest musicians of this new era of music. This is not just one note chords never changing. This is very welll thought-out composed music. This is hardwork and I am sure ruogh times. However, nothing to complain about this album. Nothing is wrong here. Just 100% music!

Marilyn Manson is one of the best bands in the history of music & this just shows that they can compete with all the bands today. I was one of the first at the record store to get the album & it was worth it this album rocks hard.

Marilyn Manson still remains one of the leading commentators on the state of the us today, The lack of structure and hypocrasy aswell as the in ability to even work out how democracy works Ie most votes wins. Holy wood is the third in MM's trilogy and when listened to in the correct order the realsiation of this trilogy is most clear. The climax of this album is pure passionate music at its best. this is a must buy not only for you bible belt americans but for anyonw with an interest in music

This is one of his greatest hits yet. For the past week I have listen nothing but this CD. This album including all the other ones from him gets a Smiley face from me. The King of Gothic Metal will continue to shine. And to those of you who thinks he hates god, he doesn't. After all, he's a poet and poets say things.

Man5on is a god to me. He talks the truth threw his music. He understands how it is in the real world. His Song THE NOBODIES is the truth. I understand is lyrics and his message that he sends out in his music. He is the greats Golthic sing ever.

First of all, I think that no CD ever deserves 5 stars because that would mean perfection. Perhaps it were better if this site worked with halve stars too. Most reviewers here just say the group rocks, is the best on earth and give 5 stars, so it's not really remarkable the average rating is the maximum. They're like afraid to give some negative criticism, which exactly what I will do. But before that, I must say this is indeed a very impressive album (19 tracks!) and I never thought Mechanical Animals was a style-change, because MM's style is parodie and perhaps Mech.Anim. was the best in his genre yet. Holy Wood is no different except the album is more drenched in doom and gothic. Although some lyrics don't really make sense, some are genious and look more like protestsongs. MM doesn't lack a sense of humor. Songs I'd recommend are : In the shadow of the valley of death, target audience, nobodies, burning flag, coma black, valentine's day (

Here we have Marilyn Manson at their best, rocking hard and by far surpassing previous works. A cold blend of what made Superstar so powerful and Animals so beautiful, this is the group's hardest 'real' music yet. As a songwriter Manson has shown himself to be complex and full of the sort of depth that is completely lost in Today's popular music. And let's not forget to aplaud the genius of the musicians who create the music itself, particularly Twiggy.

Ok, I have everything that is Manson related and I would say that this CD is by far the best one that he has put out. It shows how he has changed but at the same time stayed true to his music. There is no way that Manson could ever be concieved as a sell out.

Are you serious? first of all the case with Ozzy never went through b/c the person that killed themself was highly depressed and actualy used ozzy's music to help him number one. And what are you talking about Satan for? it's called art, so actors who play killers in movies are killers too? seriously get your head out your a## and just listen to the music and apreciate the sounds, dont think too much your you will end up going crazy.... wait i believe you did.... hail satan lol

It's safe to say that Manson has had a very good run throughout his career. From pointing out the idiocyncricies of the average American family on Portrait of An American Family to the highly experimentaly Mechanical Animals, Manson's albums have always been one of the many highlights of the year when they're released. This album is supposed to tie together Mechanical Animals and Antichrist Superstar. While he does this very well, there are also some new sounds on this album. While all of the songs have very powerful lyrics, it's Count To Six And Die that is easily the most vivid. "the mouth on the metal...the eyes of, a scared little girl" he sings with a tone of desperation as he showcases his excellent storytelling abilities. While you can expect the usual bashing of this album by soccer moms and religous advocates alike, one must wonder...if they actually understood what he was saying and didn't focus on his grotesque image would they feel the same way? I guess some people are just to stubborn to realize real talant. Either way, another classic for Mr. Manson, Twiggy Ramirez, John 5, Madonna Wayne Gacy, and Ginger Fish.

This music is the best ever!! Even though society and the media tries to push it down it still springs back up again. Some unfair accusations have been made( the columbine shooting thing) but none the less it still rules the rock music industry.
