I saw these socks at my local B&N store and thought they were very cute. I was disappointed that they didn't have them in women's sizes. The nice service desk person told me these were men's sized socks and they did not carry these in women's sizes. Excuse me, but is this the 21st century or not? I wanted to get them for my daughter who has a PhD and does astrophysics research. I thought she'd get a kick out of them. Well apparently they think only men can have space themed socks. So forget it if your daughter wants to grow up to be a scientist like mine did. B&N basically thinks you only need smelly candles and perfume... in pink. That is the impression I get when visiting their stores. These run large for men who have sock sizes under 10. Then again they don't put what size they are on the package, it just says... 'mens socks'. I rarely think things are sexist, but B&N... your whole company and what it chooses to sell is sexist when it comes to gifts. Expand your thinking both for women and for men when it comes to gifts. You could add more men's gifts while you are at it.
