Everything I want in a journal. Durable hard cover, but the wire binding -- also durable -- allows it to lay flat or fold back & holds a pen securely. The narrow lines are great for high-volume writing. The book looks clean & classic, so I don't feel tacky pulling it out in meetings. I'm currently writing in my third one & looking for a fourth.

I keep all my notes about web design in this book. Very classic style.

I have journaled for many years and have used numerous styles of journals. This Canson journal is THE BEST I have ever found! It lays open flat and folds over for writing on the back side of the page. The lines are very close together, allowing for more writing and less wasted space!! The size is great for carrying anywhere. The front & back covers are very sturdy, allowing for a solid writing surface. The double-spiral binding is strong. The diameter of the spiral binding allows for my .07 Pilot pen to slide in and out easily. I highly recommend this item to anyone who frequently journals.

I am a writer who almost always writes longhand and I love this notebook. I am going on volume five of this style. I take it everywhere I go. I was even writing at a restaurant and the staff thought I was a food critic; I got great service! The binding allows for my Dr. Grip to fit in perfectly, and the margins at top and bottom are such that you can choose to write either one direction from top to bottom or turn it over and use the opposite direction: I have my daily journal going one way, and a separate novel and some story ideas when i flip it over. Exquisite Corpse, anyone?
