Home Sweet Home by Kim Watters

Finally ready to settle down, Abby Bancroft has just inherited a place to put down roots. But her hopes for a successful bed-and-breakfast are placed on hold when she learns that her grandparents' run-down inn is in serious need of TLC. So is Cole Preston, the handsome contractor who offers to help make her dream a reality. His past mistakes won't let him consider settling in the close-knit town. Yet as he and Abby work together to repair the house, they also begin to mend each other's hearts. And they just may find that consulting their hearts is what creating a home is all about.

About the Author

At twelve years old, Kim Watters fell in love with romance. An avid reader, she was soon hooked on the happily ever after endings. For years she dreamt of writing her own romance novel but never seemed to have time until she relocated to Arizona where the beauty of her surroundings inspired her to put her stories on paper.

I really felt like I could identify with the characters, having grown up feeling like an outcast myself. I loved that they were able to grow to love and trust one another, even though many had hurt them badly in the past. I hope this isn't the last we hear about Dynamite Creek, AZ. I really enjoyed the characters, especially the wellmeaning matchmakers. I hope the author will write Christine's story next. And Robert's. I was wondering if Robert was the father of young Nichole. Just from the comments he made about ruining his chance at love and wanting to stay in Dynamite Creek. It would certainly make for an intersting story if he and Christine got together... anyway this was a great book.

I love all of Kim Watters' books, and Home Sweet Home did not disappoint. As usual, Ms. Watters writes with such emotion that I feel as if I'm in the story. I loved Abby and Cole, both good-hearted people who'd been hurt and who needed a second chance, at life and at love. This is a beautiful story of two people who learn to let go of the past and open their hearts to love and hope. It's such a wonderful love story that I let out a huge sigh at the end. I hated to see it end. Home Sweet Home is definitely worth reading and savoring.
