My first Nook Read. Loved this story. This is a story about a women who was considered past the age of marrying. Trying to find a respectable means of making a living for herself and owning her own piece of property that she could be proud of. The writer was a school teacher and I felt a very good writer for her time. The book was sometimes hard to follow when referring to some of the different characters and time frames, but this women was writing her memoirs of the experience's she was encountering. I completely enjoyed reading about her struggles and triumphs and keeping a positive "can do" attitude throughout all of what life handed her. Highly recommend this book....
characters were not fleshed out, they were just there so you didn't know who they were talking about. Lost my interest couldn't finish
