Book 2 of 3. Good plots, theme and historical description. Characters were well thought out. Will be reading final book in series. Author can be at times, a bit heavy handed on religion out pourings

More interesting railroad history and complex family relationships. We finally see how much simpler and better life becomes when we start to listen to the voice of God rather than others' or even our own

Another well developed plot with characters that feel like family you get to know them so well. Romance, yes. But not just fluff. Great history lesson.

The first book in the series was okay and the second one is okay too. I liked some of the story lines better in the second book. They held my interest a little longer. It is an easy read.
