This book kept me on an emotional roller-coaster the entire time. Will Sara finally forgive herself for doing what she could have done better but was necessary to her best friend? Will she finally stop self-destructing any chance she has at a happy life? Sara and Adam both have a past that keeps pulling them apart, all while the other characters are witty and entertaining and have no problem telling both Sara and Adam that they are holding on to things that are keeping them from happiness. It is a steamy romance that is pulled in all directions you’ll laugh, cry and have a little despise for the things they do but never stop believing that they are destined to be. I can’t wait for the next book!!!

I read this book in just a few days with not having a lot of time to read but I couldn't put it down. It can be read as a stand alone book but there will be more and I can't wait to read the other characters stories!

This book captured me from the cover reveal.  I loved the cover as it was something different and drew me in. I started this book thinking it was going to be Sara trying to get back with her ex that she hurt who is now getting married.  That is sooo NOT what this book is about. This book is about Sara finding herself and finding her redemption. After she finds herself, she finds a love greater than she has every known.  This book really tugs on your heart strings. And the supporting characters are so funny and witty.  Everyone can identify with this book as how many times have you made a decision and you thought it was going to kill you, but it turns out to be the greatest decision you ever made? When you thinking it is all going to be darkness and sadness there comes in your ray of light.  For Sara that was Adam. They have this chemistry and pull to one another.  This is my feel good book of the summer! I have read some great ones this year, but this one really captured me from the beginning and even now I think of something in the book and smile to myself.  That is a sign of a great book. When the author makes you ponder a book long after it is over.  Don't miss out on this story of redemption and love. ~Shauna~

Hope Over Fear by J.A. Derouen 5 of 5 stars  Sara broke her best friend's heart. She tried to warn him, she tried to be nice, she tried to do the right thing but in the end she broke the Golden Boy's heart.  There are some who have yet to forgive her.  Her ex,Mason has moved on and is getting married.  Hope Over Fear is Sara's story as she, herself tries to move on.  Sara begins a new volunteer job and starts making new friends.  These friends along with her friends Marlo and Alex are the best thing in her life.  They genuinely care about each other and are there for one another.  They champion for each other, they cook for each other, they are a family they have created themselves.  When Sara develops a love interest, will history repeat itself?  Will she run when it gets tough or will she stay and fight?  Will she become part of this self-formed family?  I loved this story from beginning to end.  I loved all of the characters and I want to go to one of their dinners and hang out with them.  I had a hard time writing a review without spoilers.   I hope we get stories about all the secondary characters!  I highly recommend this story; it's like sitting down for coffee with good friends.  *I was given a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review* Susan, My Secret Book Spot

OMG this was a fantastic story! The characters deal with emotional turmoil, there’s plenty of humor, and the sex scenes are on fire! The supporting characters were just as fantastic and left the groundwork for more great books in the series. This was a definite page turner. Adam and Sara have some emotional scars in their past. Even though they were both on their individual roads to healing, it became obvious pretty quickly how much they helped each other learn how to be happy again. They both had awesome personalities and the witty banter that they often engaged in with each other as well as their friends had me laughing so many times I can’t even count. I instantly became attached to theses characters after starting this book. I was rooting for them from the very beginning. The story line had my rapt attention from page one and I couldn’t put it down. I started it later in the evening with the intention of finishing it the next day but I was so glued to my tablet and the story that I stayed up until 3 AM just so I could find out how it finished. It flowed really smoothly and the scene descriptions were excellent. I was completely immersed in Adam and Sara’s world. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. 5 out of 5 stars!
