This book is a journey and we get to be a part of it. A journey with ups and downs. We go on it with characters much like us...characters with ideas, with questions, who are flawed and yet do not see, nor understand all of their flaws, who are surprised at the twists and turns of life that accompany them, characters who are conflicted. We get to see that we are a part of the characters and they are a part of us. We have had those thoughts, those ideas, those disagreements...perhaps not to the degree they do, but we have had them nonetheless. It is a very good book that will leave you thinking when you are done.

Hope’s Ante is a brilliantly written book. This story is one that any person can connect with and relate to. Life is filled with extreme high’s and lows, and throughout it all we question, we doubt, we control, and we seek truth and justice. This book will take you on a journey of emotions, and provoke your thoughts on many levels. Apart from the gospel, this story is the most beautiful picture of love, sacrifice, and the hope we all can have in the midst of a life that is full of incredibly dark hours. Hope’s Ante is a must read.

This well-woven tale illustrates faith and trust in God in the least preachy, churchy way I've seen. Kudos! It examines societal issues, the temptation to solve them through a judgmental use of money, and the utter destruction of doing so. A great thought-provoking, page-turning read.

This book takes you on a very emotional journey. It takes you through the ups and downs of life and shows how running on your own self-will can lean to destruction. It's about the questioning of faith, being rejected and realizing God is in control and always there for you. This is a very powerful book that’s full of surprises and hard to put down. It has your full attention until the very end!

What an amazing book! This book had me wanting to come back for more and more each time I picked it up. The all-time lows were matched with the all-time highs, but we come to find out that the most important thing in life is having faith in Christ. The questions that get asked through this man's journey has made me wonder what my response would be if someone confronted me with these same questions? Would I be able to lead a person on the right path? This book has allowed me to learn more about what I believe by seeing the struggles that the main character goes through with his faith. Once again this is an amazing book and has an unexpected twist that made it hard to put it down!

I finished the book last night! What talent went into that book! It was so thought-provoking on SO MANY levels! I was hooked from beginning to end! This is a book that addresses so many REAL issues; and it doesn't skirt around them or sugar-coat reality. I feel I've read a book that not only didn't "waste" my time, but my time was invested in learning and growing, and to me, that is valuable.
