I own the hardcover of this clever little kids book. In terms of construction, it's an A+. It has a sturdy matte finish, and thick, rich pages that almost seem painted. As for the story, its an endearing tale that's perfect for younger kids. Good for them to read, and equally good for parents to read to them. I won't ruin the premise of the story but it is clearly sweet. Looking forward to the remainder of the series from Trip Hughes.

I thoroughly enjoyed Hornswoggle! The story is imaginative and fun, as is the art. Eden learns important lessons as she cares for her dragon. Audiences of all ages will enjoy reading this sweet story together. Everyone I have shared this story with has enjoyed all aspects of this book. I'm excited for my little cousins to get their copies!

What's not to love about a feisty, creative heroine in purple polka dotted rain boots?  Or a miniature dragon who can roast marshmallows and fly in a paper airplane?   My kids (ages 2-8) fell in love with both characters.  And I fell in love with the uplifting theme of friendship woven throughout this book.   I will be on the look out for more from this author.

It's obvious that this author hasn't lost his childlike imagination!  It takes that something-special to make an adult want to read a children's book more than once, and "Hornswoggle" has it. The story's plot draws you in -- just as Eden is drawn to Hornswoggle. The drawings spark a smile, from Hornswoggle's square snout to Eden's purple polka-dot rain boots to a very spry little shopkeeper's twirly mustache. You'll enjoy this book just as much as the child in your life.

I've fallen in love with a tiny dragon! I read lots of books to my 4 granddaughters and all of us agree Hornswoggle is one of our favorites! The characters are lovable and the message is rich. I'm buying this for all the little people on my Christmas list!

I love this book! I read through it once and then turned it over and read it again! The first time I was excited to find out about the adventure and who this Hornswoggle character would be, so I read quickly and the story did NOT disappoint! The second time through the descriptive language and illustrations made me pause on each page longer and longer. The simple but powerful detailed adjectives enables the mind to already picture Hornswoggle's world for yourself before you even look at the amazing illustrations. I know the children I read this to will have their imaginations stretched as well as left eager for the next adventure. As you read about Hornswoggle, the author weaves truths about our own human character, purpose, and design. Now . . . if only we all had our own little dragons!
