Isaiah Rogers grew up on his family farm in Alabama. Loved by his family, he’s a country boy at heart, a southern gentleman by raising.

The path to northern Indiana was twisted and long, but this sensitive man found a comfortable niche as a member of the Rebel Wayfarers, vice-president of their affluent and growing Fort Wayne chapter. Hoss, as he’s now known, retains pieces of the boy from rural Alabama, but life in the club has hardened him, driving home the message time and again that love isn’t safe.

Hope Collins also grew up in Alabama, but their histories could not be more different.

An ill-timed youthful rebellion came with long-lasting consequences. It’s then she finds she’s not an only child after all, her father holding up her half-sister’s failures as a painful lesson before closing the door of her childhood home in her face.

Hoss and Hope’s paths collide when she travels to Fort Wayne, to meet the sister she had gone most of her life without knowing about. For Hoss, from the first moment he laid eyes on her, the truth and beauty inside her called to him. Now he will have to find a way to win the woman’s trust and love, while navigating the dangerous currents swirling around the club.

“The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for.” ~ Bob Marley

*Please note this book is part of the Rebel Wayfarers MC book series, featuring characters from additional books in the series. If the books are read out of order, you’ll twig to spoilers for the other books, so going back to read the skipped titles won’t have the same angsty reveals. I strongly recommend you read them in order. About the Author

Raised in the south, MariaLisa learned about the magic of books at an early age. Every summer, she would spend hours in the local library, devouring books of every genre. Self-described as a book-a-holic, she says "I've always loved to read, but then I discovered writing, and found I adored that, too. For reading...if nothing else is available, I've been known to read the back of the cereal box." Oatmeal is her comfort food. She hates gardening but loves flowers; not cut arrangements, but in the wild, outside. She has a deep and abiding respect for our military. Her dad was career Air Force and parades make her cry. Walking Dead is about the only TV she watches anymore, don't bother her on Walking Dead night, when she's been known to shout, "Go Team Darryl!" Yes, she's still sad about Firefly. She's a hockey fan, like ... a serious hockey fan. She's loyal to the Edmonton Oilers, but asks that we don't judge her about that. She also likes the Nashville Predators and Ottawa Senators. The local ECHL team, the Fort Wayne Komets, are a fav of hers, and she has season tickets. She'll also generally try to hit the road games within a hundred-mile radius. She's a wanna-be hiker, working on a "bucket list" of hikes like Knobstone (completed in four days mid-April 2014 - whoooo!), sectioning parts of the AT, and now and then looking west towards PCT. She embraces her inner geek; MariaLisa has been working in the tech field for a couple decades. A sometime PC gamer, she still plays EverQuest after all these years. She says, "What can I say, I'm loyal (see above, I'm an Oilers fan LOL). Yes, I've heard of WoW, and have a coupla toons there, too." On music, she says, "I love music of nearly any genre -- jazz, country, rock, alt rock, metal, classical, bluegrass, rap, hip hop...you name it, I listen to it. I can often be seen dancing through the house in the early mornings. But I really, REALLY love live music. My favorite thing with music is seeing bands in small, dive bars [read: small, intimate venues]. If said bar [venue] has a good selection of premium tequila, then that's a plus!" Her short bio reads, "Plate-spinner / cat herder at work; totally geeked author; single mom in the thick of autism at home; hockey freak; wanna-be hiker; usta-be/on-again EQ gamer."

I have been reading this series from the 1st book and I have to say this book made me laugh, smile, frustrated, and crying! I love Hoss character in the story and love the bond Hope and Sammy have together. Hoss was patient and took his time to show his love for Hope and Sammy. I will admit I was not prepared for the ending and the water works began. No matter what you see Hoss true love for his children. This is the best book by far and moved me deeply.

5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story flowed well and I was kept interested. The story has laughs, pain, abuse, love, betrayal, kidnapping, grief, healing, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Mica (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #1) Slate (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #2) Bear (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #3) Jase (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #4) Gunny (Rebel Wayfarers MC #5) Mason (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #6) This is Hope and Hoss’s story. Hope has been taking care of herself and her son for the last 8 years. When she is let go from her job again she decides to pack up her son and go find her sister. She meets Hoss the same night she connects with her sister. Hoss wants Hope but he needs to protect her. So he will keep her safe from a distance. When she is fired from each of her jobs that the MC sets her up with she decides to seek a job outside of the MC. Hoss is called in to get her after a fight in a bar she is working. Hoss decides to stake a claim but what he does not realize is that Hope is different than all the other woman he has ever dealt with. She has always had to take care of herself and her son and she will always put her son first. When he runs hot and cold with her she thinks he is done with her. She moves out of the place she can’t afford and into a place she can. When an attack happens on the club Hope is spooked. Can Hoss get her to understand he and the MC Brothers would protect her and her son with their lives? What happens when they finally come together only to lose the best part of them in the end? Can the family still go on? Or will the pain bring them to their knees? I loved both of these characters. Hoss is strong and so very sweet and gentle with Hope and her son when they both need it. Hope is strong and will protect the ones she loves with her life. As always you get a ton of the side characters. I have to say the ending of this story gutted me. I was not expecting where the author was going and was completely crushed with her final path. Although it was written with beauty and grace I was completely shocked. Bring your tissues as you will need them for this one. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story in this series.

Have you ever read a book that sticks with you or had a character that haunts you? A plot so strong that it puts a mark way deep down in your heart? Hoss is like that. Everything the characters go through will hit you in the farthest recesses of your soul and leave you yearning for more. The characters? Unforgettable. The story? Hauntingly beautiful. Hoss is another solid addition to the Rebel Wayfarers MC series. Well done, MariaLisa, well done. This is my confession: Everyone needs beauty in their lives and things ALWAYS happen for a reason.
